@sjmieze This is a demo for people learning to carve hence the title "how to snowboard - carving demonstration". If you are showing people how to carve this is just what they need to see. A good mix of large radius open and closed loop turns and smaller radius open loop turns. There is no point demoing advanced carves to people learning to carve. Everyone needs to start off on that rocking motion rolling from one edge to the other and not activly influencing the shape of the turn too much.

not bad for a novice. Try to actually twist your feet and use all the muscles in your legs to get more aggression in your turns, this sorta just looks like digging the edge in, slightly leaning back and letting the board do its work. If you get it right, and you have a proper freerider board, you'll be able to allmost touch the slope with your face plus make alot more turns.

I don't know, but I still take lessons....and give them. I think lessons are MORE important at the higher levels. I am gonna guess that your an okay rider, but if you think you don't need lessons still, well, I will guess that you are a rather mediocre rider at best. Come check out "fun with sando" and let me know if you can rock switch moguls, or ANY moguls or trees at all?!

dam thats good !! I tryed yesterday to snow board and IM very frustrated , cause i could not even do the bunny hill without falling 12 times on way down !! could not stand for more then 6 seconds each set ! im pretty athletic and play hockey and can ski pretty good , but just cant figure out snowboarding !!!

I wish someone told me that!!! when you snowboard you use muscles you dont usually use so you will be very sore & stiff!! but you ride the next day it just hurts alot! esp if your falling alot!! ALWAYS WEAR A HALMET! i wiped out on a double diamond hill & hit my head so hard my eyes rolled in the back of my head!! thank god i was wearing a halmet!!! have fun

If your asking if you should go straight or carve, my guess is you haven't learned how to carve in control. Learn to manipulate the size of your turn radius :) Level 2 aasi shit right there :)

yea..i learned that the hard way..3 days ago i snowboarded for the 1st time..i couldnt turn, stop, carve,etc..i just got on the board and slided down..i got in to some trees..a pole..annoying stuff..but now i started learning to turn and stop..soon i will start practicing carving..hope this video helps!:)

You can't go straight you go waay too fast, you can try though, just make sure you put your weight on one side of the board or it will slide to the side.. kinda hard to explain..
