Omg I used to play this game everyday for hours. Thanks for posting this...it brought back awesome memories!! I saw where I could buy it on Amazon but it's for older Windows systems =(
Wow I have been trying to remember what this game was called for years now. This was my favorite game as a kid when I would stay at home sick from school with my warm cup of tea on a cold rainy day. Makes me feel so warm inside
OMFGWTFBBQ I used to love this game!! Does anyone remember a game where you could play as a boy or girl and you would drop pink buckets of slime on monsters throughout different levels if I remember correctly
I remember there was a game similar to this, only it had nursery rhyme games. It had two monkey kids in a treehouse, though. I must find the game I'm thinking of!
This game would always make my computer freeze up and I'd have nightmares about it. I still have the old floppy discs and the computer is at my parents' house. Maybe I'll try to fire it up again someday...
Remember the bird bath and the bird who would fly in and yell "Waaaaaahooooooo!" when the possom would look through the telescope. That was another fave part. And if you threw the teddy bear in the pond outside it a frog would come up and spit it out!
Man, I know I played something like this, it wasn't this though. I remember Moon Miranda and the green alien, and it starred a mouse instead of an opossum...
wow...i totally remember this game...even down to the glitch that happened with the balloon outside! And I remember printing out the music clips and playing them on my keyboard...awesome!
omg this was one of my favorite games as a kid!! me and my sister even pretended to be possums and danced to the music...because i had a cassette tape of it. wow thanks :)
Heh, my favorite game was the music game, and today I play a violin. Kinda funny, and for an old game, it sure does seem to have a lot of calendars. Awesome vid. It looks a little different from the one I had though, but maybe it's just me.
If you already have it on your PC, you can play it on your Mac. Google "DOSBox", and download the Mac version. Copy the game from your PC to your Mac. Read the DOSBox instructions, and get it to run the game.
You seriously have no idea how fantastically happy it makes me feel, seeing this after all these years. I remember all those little sound effects, the games, the songs, everything.
I've got a Mac, and unfortunately there don't appear to be any versions of this game available for Mac emulators! :-( But this is the next best thing; THANK YOU!!!!
The memories! They had this game at my school! Of course, they couldn't afford speakers so we were stuck with crappy CPU sounds. But still was real fun!
I remember playing old educational games alright, but my parents let me play DOOM 2, Dark Forces, and Wolf3D as a little kid all throughout the nineties starting from 1995.
No, but I could have a look at the game files and see if I can extract the songs - if I do, I will upload a video of them, as well as a link to download them. Only problem is that I only remember the "Hangin out at the Treehouse" song - what was the "Rhapsody in Rap" song?
And BTW, here's some of the lyrics. "RHAPSODY IN RAP" written by Renee Swanson and Michael J. Ilnicki, as performed by Up the Street Beat (feat. David Casper and Kisha Stafford) KISHA: An alternating band made up of sections- DAVID: Strings, percussion, woodwinds- KISHA: And mention brass. DAVID: What a gas! All four sections groovin' together... KISHA: Monster sounds, (and they're ever much better) (?)- want more! DAVID: Want more! K + D: Move your feet to the beat!
Continuing the lyrics: KISHA: That is percussion, it sets the groove. DAVID: Strike it, or shake it, it makes you move. KISHA: The snare drum starts it off: (snare drum sounds) DAVID: Throw bass drum at the sauce: (bass drum sounds) KISHA: Tambourine... gotta shake it mean! DAVID: You know, percussion plays rhythm. KISHA: With a timpani, pitch can be given: (timpani sounds) DAVID: Xylophone, piano- they play the melody, KISHA: 'Cause they strike, and they're all in family.
DAVID: So, xylophone mean! (xylophone ditty) KISHA: Tickle that ivory! (piano tune) K + D: So that's how they do what they do what do, Yeah, that's how they do what they do what they do! CHORUS: Now we're gonna have some fun, Learnin' about the orchestra... Now we're gonna have some fun, Learnin' about the orchestra... Callin' out everyone Learnin' about the orchestra... LET'S HIT IT!
VERSE 2 KISHA: What's that I hear? (strings play) DAVID: That was the strings, doin' the string thing- KISHA: A violin, viola, cello and bass thing! DAVID: You know, they all have four strings. KISHA: And they always play with some kind of those things(?)... like the violin! (violin plays 7-note ditty) KISHA: More o' viola! (viola plays same) DAVID: Mellow cello! (cello plays same) KISHA: Place the bass! (bass plays same)
(continued) DAVID: What about a harp? It's got strings. KISHA: It's got strings, but that ain't the thing. Got no bow, and it goes like this... (harp gliss) K + D: So that's how they do what they do what they do- Yeah, that's how they do what they do what they do! (Repeat Chorus) VERSE 3 (woodwinds play a ditty) KISHA: So the woodwind section got your attention: DAVID: Airy, breathy, and not to mention fine. KISHA: And on time!
DAVID: Oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon... KISHA: The flute, it's cute; let's hear its tune! (flute plays same ditty as strings did) DAVID: Clarinet! (clarinet repeats) KISHA: Saxophone, phone home! (sax repeats) DAVID: Bassoon, join the tune! (bassoon repeats) KISHA: I didn't hear the oboe- can it go? DAVID: Sure! (oboe repeats) K + D: So that's how they do what they do what they do- Yeah, that's how they do what they do what they do! (Repeat Chorus)
(small ditty from brass) DAVID: The sound is brass, it gives pizzazz. KISHA: Tuba and trumpet, they're also a gas... DAVID: ...with french horn and trombone. K + D: Let's break it down and take it home! Now we're gonna have some fun... KISHA: The tuba! (tuba plays same 7-note ditty) K + D: Now we're gonna have some fun... DAVID: Blow, french horn, blow! (french horn repeats) K + D: Now we're gonna have some fun... KISHA: Trumpet, pump it! (trumpet repeats)
