  • no item.... why did you use the "stop"? =D

  • @19BeNDeR90 As you can see the clock is not needed. ;)

  • pretty interestin video o.o id never do it but nice to see xD

  • There's actually an easier way; there's points between the breakaway floors where you can stand without them falling. Yeah probably not the best description, but yeah...

  • @jbetenbender Nice post dude. I knew it too (my friend bug recorded the tech you're talking about). Look that there is NOT an alternative way to reach the platform on 0:39 (without items/relics).

  • @pauIo1179 Yeah I've done the clock tower route; and done that too lol. I'm a lil proud of myself 400.3% (without inf S4R on console); probably not quite as much as you, but still. Anywho you mind sending me some minor tricks n glitches; that people either don't know about or are pointless (like when you use clock in the blood fountain area then pause and unpause the background will turn black lol).

  • @jbetenbender Great! Keep working on your game ;) There are lots of minor tricks that no one recorded yet (like the black background), playing two musics at the same time (yes, its possible) and moreeeeeeeeeeee.

  • @pauIo1179 Hey can you PM me how to do that and other tricks. I'll PM you back anything that's not on the list, or we can do it vice versa. Pleeease! :( I just has to know everything.

  • Is this possible on the PSP version?

  • @TheAzureKnighthood i did this before watching the vid :p but i used the dog for the first part. it makes it easy with it. and yes i works on the psp

  • A Perfect Trick for speedrun :D

  • Exellent

  • The stopwatch is an item...

  • lol Cube of Zoe too...

What I did is very hard but can be performed without the clock.

As you can see the clock is just a tool and not a necessary thing (remember that I'm playing on a real console - without save-states/edits).

  • Lol yeah I was just being a smartass. Nice job though for real

  • @pauIo1179 Clock is subweapon. Sube of Zoe is relic.

  • @Tsukiyomaru0

:p I know that. As you can see both Cube and Clock are NOT needed. I used the clock (and teh cube to get the clock) to go faster. ;)

  • Hacks, xD Joking, Nice work

  • You're a genius.

  • Your so pro lol =P

  • That's very easy without using any items or relics.

  • Hummm....

"very easy" because you saw the steps on my movie. lol

Please, record a movie using a real playstation, playing on real time (like I did) and show me!! Success!

  • how did u flip on that jump?

  • Low DEF ;)

  • haha, i downloaded the sotn clock tower theme on ghwt, wasnt too sure it was castlevania, but prety sure about it. and im glad it is =D

  • What's so terrible about it? You're just gonna get up to the Castle Keep and realize you have to turn back for the Jump Stone in order to get the bat anyway. Hardly an important oversight.

  • With this "tech" you be able to start a new game and go directly where the Leap Stone is (Castle Keep) without needing relics. ^^

  • the first time I played this game I didn't know about leap stone's existence. I've passed clock tower using that same trick with the medusa head.

  • o.O wow cool!!

  • amazing!

  • the tragic prince is the name of the song

  • lol Fricken Ninja =)

  • Anyone know the name of the song?

  • Hm once i again i complete it without relicts too. Just i don't know how open blue door, and got up with medusa head bug like you

  • :O ty i thing that u had to jump wiht wolf actived

  • how did you do that kick???

And how can i kick the enemy in its head??

  • Unequip the hands then press [down] + [att] in the air.

Press [down] + [jump] when reverting back to Alucard to do a "dive-kick".

  • lol pretty cool. i gotta try that

  • While there are a lot of other games that have this little trick,(or ones like it), its the simple fact that somebody (you) found it that makes it so awesome! Kinda like in CV 4, when I was 7 I got to the stairway leading to Drac, and wanted the password so I jumped off the edge to kill myself, and there I had found that full power secret, granted, everybody else has found it too, but I was 7 and I was very please with myself!!! But anyways, major kudos to ya on that one man!!!

  • Thanks!

  • lol to all those who think this is a glitch or a bug, its just a little trick they new about these things when they ade the game. for example if this wer real and you could get hit you would use it to get to places.

  • True. But all glitches can be "called" as trick! The important is the path and not what the path is (glitch, trick or a bug)! ^^

  • And i thought konami was a turstfull compani... why!! i can understans those other faggs "nintendo.." but how could they do this to a wonderfull game like castelvani simphiny of the night.

  • Used same trick... konami really did big mistake on that.

  • Yeah they did didn't they. I mean if they had made it so Alucard didn't levitate higher during a hit, this controversy would not have existed..

  • Wow, amazing find.

  • Smart. Nice one.

  • Oh my god! That's terrible! Konami actually overlooked a possibility as unorthadox as getting hit on purpose for a sluggish double jump effort.... That's crazy. I would suspect Midway to make silly game development mistakes like that but Konami?

  • It's called sequence breaking.

  • Sequence breaking? I call it incompentence on Konami's part!

  • I've done that in Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks, but it's no big secret... You use a certain animation, rather than acquiring the skill to reach the goal. You see that alot in MK Shaolin Monks.

  • Well, I'd say that it opens up new possibilities for low-percent/low-item-collection runs. I'm not a speedrunner myself, but I sometimes hang out with a bunch of such people, and maybe their gaming style has started to rub off onto me...

  • I can agree to that. But I just hate knowing little in-game glitches and flaws within the development of certain games... ESpecially on the stylish, gothic and beautiful game that is Castlevania Symphony of the Night.

  • evil and brillant man

  • Thanks!

  • Brillant. Bloody brillant.

  • oh good job paulo. i never that last part first try.
