  • aren't these just eco-McMansions? I mean a giant house in the middle of a greenfield?

  • I love how this video opens and closes with a huge mansion and the actual product they're trying to sell is a small "trashcrete" hut that is unsuitable for any family on the planet for more than storage.

"Charity" scams are big business as you can see with Ms Hollywood saying [at 3-5 times the cost of an american home] "live in luxury" [in the tiny hut].

This is what a charity scam looks like. They set up one hut, make a video of it, collect donations, end project, keep the change.

  • I assume that you are being cynical when you say you love how this video opens.

The small building is a prototype demonstration building. Since this video was made I built an 1800 square foot shell using this method at an out of my own pocket cost of $18,000. This included insulated foundations, compression shell roof, doors & windows, & I paid some labor to help on a couple of occasions. There was no profit in this yet another prototype, & no charity, simply hardwork & determination.

  • interesting material!!

  • cool....but 150 a square foot? You will be able to pick up foreclosures at half that amount.

  • agreed!!! I know brand new houses around here can be built for 100-130 a sq ft... so who on earth will want to buy this?

  • what a fabulous video! Pod house, I want one; maybe a dozen for some homeless people in my neighborhood.
