The first second of this i guess was the end of another recording and I heard that and was like what the hell i'm pretty sure that's not how it starts.
personally, i had never listened to this piece, but i think it is so depressive.... so sad.... so passionate... it almost make me cry.... i just loved it, and the interpretation sounds great to me, actually this is the fifth continous time i'm hearing it, thank you dear and keep on posting marvels.... adio carissima....
Please check the rhythm of the dotted opening figure - it's twice as fast as everything else in that section.
And yes, it is generally too loud throughout, even after compensating for the recording equipment. I can't satisfactorily sense the culminating point at 2:36, let alone a crescendo to that point, because the beginning of that extensive build-up is already very loud and heavy.
You have character in your playing, and that's great! Keep working!
I ve been listening to this girl carefully over and over for the last days. Personally I love her. I d love to listen more, specially Rachmaninov. She s got the talent to be among the great pianists and she d be perfect for the whole serie of 24 preludes. GIRL, GO FOR IT. YOU ARE PURE FIRE !!!
you may disagree with that but a pianist must also makes people want to look at his hands and his body motion. i think its part and parcel of the job. thats why technic counts and thats why the way she moves her shoulders is emabrassing me( and others i guess). in my opinion there are too much manerism in her play ( manerism ... not sure this word exists in english). It just doesn't seem to come naturally but when you don't look at her her her play sounds great so... yeah why not ?
Perfect tempo, first of all, and the most difficult issue of this prelude. Personally I love how she uses the pedal. The sound of the piano is like a symphony orchestra, it fills the room. The performance is a storm in the ocean. She caught the spirit of the piece, perfect for Rachmaninov. 2 thumbs up !!
try some rubato in there. It sounds way too straightforward in my opinion. It also sounds too heavy in the beginning, but that could be b/c of the sound quality though.
sounds pretty good. some of your accentuations can be better. some tempo adjustments should me made imo. and a small fluke, your pedal transition was slightly off in the beginning.
Excellent performance!

After all this time, still my favorite performance. Like I said, she makes the piano sound like a storm in the middle of the ocean.

Brava! Solo, posso chiederti perchè il tema da subito così forte? Sembra quasi uno squillo di trombe all'inizio...

I thought it was really good, I would even say excellent, if it wasn't for the main theme which was way too loud, especially at 4:03 :(

too heavy in the beginning. And why are your shoulders attached to your ears?

loosen up your shoulders!

piu poco mosso e piano all'inizio
Sorry, I don't know Italian. I just used Google translator and my fractured understanding of latin-based language structure.
If you speak English:
Softer with a bit more flow in the beggining. Its forlorne, bring out the empty sadness it portrays.

Complimenti per il resto, bellissima la cadenza!

That was very nice. Of all the Rachmaninoff Preludes I think this one in B minor is the most hypnotizing. I love it.
