  • Lol een nederlander

  • @mendebil The all iPhone can run Terminal on iPhone

  • nice machine to run cmd on :))

  • how much does it cost to get the whole set from Orange gadget ?

  • @lessen1 The module is $75 and comes with the USB cable.

  • @lessen1 just get a new iphone dude

  • @polzowatel i figured if its gonna cost 75 why not just get a gps and put it in the car instead, i just bought a blackberry 9780 i have an app called traffic its pretty neat and damn accurate.

  • @lessen1 yeah or you could get a new iphone instead, jailbreak it, and get tomtom/navigon for free, on a large screen and etc.. not necessarily a brand new iphone, i have 3GS and it works perfectly, and now you can get it for like $40? really cheep

  • @polzowatel thats right but i would need internet on the iphone which means more bucks to put in right?

  • @lessen1 well yeah i guess but you could buy it off contract and not tell AT&T about it, they wont find out, and if they will they cant force internet because it's not a part of contract no matter what they tell you, unless of coarse you are an idiot and you will call at&t and tell t hem that you have an iphone they wont do shit about it, and you will have a locked 3GS off ebay for not that much

  • so do you also get wifi every were with this module?

  • @ANTONIOISTONY No, the module only provides your GPS location.

  • @ANTONIOISTONY lol epic fail

  • @ANTONIOISTONY thats impossible

  • can you charge your iphone/ipod when the gps thing is plugged in?

  • @g25a25c Yes, the included USB cable allows for charging of your iDevice. The unit from Orange Gadgets ships with the USB cable.

  • @pmgriphone if i dont charge will it work from using battery from ipod? if so how long do it last?

  • @g25a25c Yes it will run from the iPod battery. It really depends on what you do with the iPod, but typically about 5hrs with the screen on non-stop.

  • Hi,I have Ipod touch 1G,and a bluetooth dongle, but I can`t search any GPS device,I check my BT dongle spec,it seem only support A2DP,AVRCP,could you please tell me what the BT dongle do you use? thanks in advanced.

  • @take03021 It's not a bluetooth dongle. It's the iGPS360 from Orange Gadgets which is a direct plug-in.

  • Hey aangezien je waarschijnlijk nederlands bent, waar kan ik die license number vinden? Het liefst gratis :)

  • @xFuzee Je hebt geen license ndig om de iGPS360 te gebruiken.

  • this thing comes handy in size, but how many hours could the iphone last without a charge?

  • @yuyueyuyue On a fully charged iPhon battery about 4-5hours.

  • @yuyueyuyue i have a ipod touch 2g and it is about a year old. constant use: 6-7 hours, standby: 1-2 weeks.

  • where did yu buy the module?

  • You can buy the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets. Just google for "Orange Gadgets iGPS360".

  • does ti work on Ipod touch 3g

  • As long as you can jailbreak your device, yes.

  • where do u get the module?

  • You can get the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets. Just google for Orange Gadgets iGPS360.

  • or just buy iphone 3GS like me and have it installed =)

  • Google for Orange Gadgets iGPS360.

  • hey man ben je NL ;P?

  • Dat is correct.

  • Ah ik snap het al... het begint met een J zeker:p

  • could you please help me? I really want GPS on my itouch. I live in Holland. I have installed TomTom Europe. It starts but it wont receive any GPS signals.

What do i need to do?

    Thanx!

  • Just get the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets, install GPSSerial through Cydia and you should be all set.

  • @pmgriphone:

that means i have to pay 60 dollard fore TomTom and another 75 dollars for the module ?

  • You already have TomTom installed you said, so the only thing you need is the iGPS360 module.

  • @pmgriphone: Thanx for the fast reaction! But it kinda... sucks :P TomTom is expensive and then 75 dollars for the module!

    Thanx anyways!

  • Cheaper than a car kit :-)

  • Wow had je niet eerst beter kunnen kijken voordat je zo'n dure app kocht?

  • als dat voor mij bedoeld is... ik heb niks gekocht :P

  • Can i use this with Google Maps ?

  • No (Google maps uses some private API so it doesn't work with GPSSerial), but you can use it with xGPS which has a lot more options than Google Maps.

  • hi i'm italian and after i've bought it what i've to do? (just plug it in and use a navigation software like tomtom etcetc)

ps i've an ipod touch 1g

  • Just install GPSSerial through Cydia and then you can use AppStore apps with the module, like Navigon, TomTom, etc.

  • does this work in sweden?

  • Yesi, it works worldwide.

  • hi can i get some help, im in vancouver. BC will the map for here show up??? what would i have to buy and what would i have to install.

  • You will need the iGPS360 to supply the GPS signal and then you need a navigation app. If you use xGPS you can download maptiles in advance for your local area (just check if there are Google maptiles available). Or you can use an AppStore app for your area.

  • Hey im from Mexico City, Thanks for the video man, Just that what i need to do so Mexicos city map appear and my exact location. What i do?? Please Help me

    Thanks!

  • You will need the iGPS360 hardware and install xGPS software and download Mexico's maptiles. Then you should be all set.

  • will it work if i don't have Wi-Fi for my iTouch??

  • Yes, just take a look at some of my other videos with the iPod.

  • Hmmmmm so if im like in the middle of a forest with ought any internet access i can pull out my iPod and put directions to my house i'll get the directions right?

  • You will need software installed that can do that, like Navigon, TomTom, Sygic, xGPS v2.x, etc.

  • sooo...... how do i do that from my iPod?

  • how can i get GPS on ipod touch?

  • Buy the iGPS360 accessory from Orange Gadgets.

  • with this can you use any gps software for the ipod touch such as navizon

  • You can use a lot of AppStore apps as long as you install the GPSSerial software through Cydia on a jailbroken device.

  • the ipod touch 3.0 might have this feature since apps are now allowed to use the pin connector

    i hope it will happen...

  • Will it be possible with future updates to achieve this without jailbreaking your ipod?

  • It will be possible, but unlikely. With the release of 3.0, appstore apps are now allowed to access the dock connector, but there would still have to be a legitimate app that uses the gps module, and apple might not want 3rd party hardware to be utilized.

  • Do you have to do a jailbreak?

  • Yes, your device needs to be jailbroken.

  • what is the black thing ?and from where i can get it

  • The black thing is the iGPS360 from Orange Gadgets. Just do a google search for "Orange Gadgets iGPS360" and it will pop up right at the top.

  • That is the iGPS360 from Orange Gadgets. Just do as Google search for "iGPS360 Orange Gadgets" and it will pop up right at the top.

  • so if you have the ipod touch 2g, do you still need the gps module?

  • Yes, you do since it has no GPS built-in.

  • Thax u video but is not have on ebay and i dont know how to buy this pls tell me

  • Do a Google search for "Orange Gadgets iGPS360"

  • i have ipod touch 1g does it work with it without wifi?

  • Yes, you can download maps and directions to your iPod before you go on the road. You just won't be able to re-calculate your route on the road (at least for the 1.x version of xGPS).

  • thats amazing thnx a lot

  • hey i have a gps that plugs into my pc via usb.. is there any way to plug it in to an iphone??? thx

  • Do a google search for "Orange Gadgets iGPS360". That will bring you to the website.

  • Hi I have bought an igps360 and it works great, I have a big question Can I use my module with other programs, how? ty

  • Currently Apple doesn't allow dock connector access in its SDK and as such the module won't work with any AppStore apps. Third party developers can write apps for the module though as they are not restricted by the Apple SDK. Hopefully more program will become available over time.

  • okay ;)

  • is it true, ipod touch have gps? i really want iphone 3G but its so expensive in my country, its about $900 for 8GB , maybe better to buy ipod touch, lol

cuz i have cell phone tho

  • You can buy and iPod Touch and an iGPS360 module to go with it.

    Mike

  • Read the FAQ on the Orange Gadgets website and click on the Technology link in the top navigation bar. Also read up on the iphone-gps blog and the Xwaves xgpsdev blog. That should get your going in no-time :-)

  • Thank you.....as for how long it will take me it may be more than a little bit! LOL

    Mike

  • I dont get it, why would you buy an external GPS module to smthn that already has one inside it?

  • The first generation iPhone and the iPod Touch don't have any built-in GPS. That's why you need an add-on.

  • Right now it only works with xGPS and Roadmap on firmware 2.x. Simba's hike app will be ported to firmware 2.x as well. I am currently working on a mobilesubstrate plugin to try and get the module to work with AppStore apps.

  • i went to order one of these but firefox says the site has no certificates and is impersonating

  • Considering it comes with free software and you can use it pretty much everywhere over the world, it is actually a very good price.

  • i think its worth it ,,, a good road gps it s like 200$

  • wtf it takes up 7.ogb :o
