Brian, do you still support YES products? A personal anectdpte from me is that fish oil had me anxious, nauseous, tired, headache, constand hunger, heartburn, and feeling sick and polluted. I literally got a cold the next day that I overdosed on fish oil.
The bottom line is that fish oil makes me feel TERRIBLE. I am swtiching to your parent oils blend today. Pumpkin seed oils are VERY healthful.
@Razwell Thank you for sharing your experience. I have heard similar from other users of fish oil. Yes, I do recommend YES products. I'm sure you will see much better results with plant-based, Parent EFAs as opposed to inferior fish oil. Best, B
From Patricia Kane PhD, bodybio bulletins, Why 4:1 Ratio Oil
"Dark bottles are necessary to protect the EFA oils from light, since light is 1000 times more deleterious to the sensitive oils than exposure to air. They should also be kept cold (refrigerated) all along the process,"
EFA's are MUCH more stable in your body & cell membranes than they are in the outside world, but the fridge is ok cause the light goes out when you shut the door. I think... not sure, maybe we need a study.
Interesting and thanks for the reply Professor. Well from I read, the only way to ingest parent ALA and LA oils is by consuming "raw" Flaxseed and Primrose seeds as heat will damage the oils in these seeds........I take it, animal sources are no good?
@PROCESSOR302 Hello... Yes, DAMAGED ALA intake (trans fats) does contribute to cancer risk, but the whole ALA (Parent Omega 6) is cancer preventive. The confusion over whole and damaged ALA, as well as its derivatives, is widespread and the root of the problem with getting the facts out there.
I hate fish oil! I especially hate cod liver oil. I always felt sick after taking it. As a matter of fact...I hate seafood period. All of it. Salmon, trout, crab, sushi...yuck!

@andyinla Thank you so much for your input. Yes, it is vital to keep EFAs out of direct light to protect their integrity.

@PROCESSOR302 Yes, animal sources are not sufficient. There are many seed oils available to get the required LA ALA ratio.

I think he forgot to mention the reports where high ALA intake increased the risk of prostate cancer.
