In terms of technician, she's very precise in the execution of her moves. But as a dancer, I find her a little... disconnected. She seems very focused on herself and her choreography, and less on her audience and the music she's dancing to. Oriental dance is meant to be fun to watch, and not in just a *fap fap fap* kinda way. You're supposed to feel invited. To me, Sadie just seems to convey a message of "hey, look at me... I'm being sexy and such." But perhaps that's just my interpretation...

She is such a unique performer in that she makes the audience believe the music is dancing to HER. I love her body, so fit, yet no pointy bones or ribs poking out to distract her crowd. She OWNS the room wherever she goes with her flawless stage presence. As a fellow female, I feel she really embodies the type of woman I'd like to be someday.

Here is a belly dance performance really perfect! me practicing this dance for 3 years now I know the work it is! I am using to advance his choreography, it's really amazing to get to a performences same! Yes, Sadie inspires me to get off the couch and move these arthritic hips around! I hope one day to be able to see Sadie live. Now this is my kind of female empowerment. Some may say sexist but I'm sure it gives joy, hope, relief and as women we need that. Nothing wrong knowing your beauty, even better when you can feel and see it in your graceful moves or flirty smile. Women's lib is about choice and this, it makes a woman see her strength! @simplicitykitty What are you talking about? For whatever reason belly dance came to be it's taken on the role of seduction. At one point women even danced topless, so no it wasn't family entertainment. Have you see many other belly dance videos? Sadie does not have a corner on the sexiness market, it is the hallmark of many of these dances across cultures. Women actually have the power in society which is why they are so oppressed in some & these videos are so threatening to others.

I have several different belly dance clips on my Playlist which do not all feature Sadie (but many do) and there are differences in technique but all are sensual to an extent. Please answer: Was belly dance originally devised to help in pregnancy and labor?
