  • MOTOWN-JUST BRILLIANT...

  • wow, one of my faves, ta

  • Motown rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A1 BRILLIANT GOOD MEMORIES

  • what a treat to come across this thanks

  • I was afraid that I would tire of this song if I played it too much, but I can't over this song. This song takes me back to the first time that I played it and sends me forward with light and hope. I LOVE MOTOWN.

  • one of the great tunes from soul

  • James Dean and William Weatherspoon really should have been given more attention at Motown. They seemed to posess a great abillity to come up with these songs that had choruses as strong as HDH. In fact, you could just sing those Weatherspoon and Dean choruses over and over and you'd still have a fantastic song! This is one of the best- Richard Street is such a powerhouse vocalist and those non-stop backing vocals- classic Monitors and a classic Dean/Weatherspoon trademark.

  • Possibly Richard Street's finest hour!

  • One of the greatest records ever played of the Northern Soul scene in my book, such a crying shame it was not a 45 first time round. How could a gem like this not have been deemed worthy of release. Bloody awesome, spine tinglin' Northern perfection!!!

  • Was this a HDH song? It has their sound.

  • Hi, it`s actually credited to Jimmy Dean and William Weatherspoon as co writers. A great Motown sound !!!

  • SWEET !

  • great track, unreleased motown,an allnighter big sound in the late 90s when it spun....

  • Thanks for the comment and info. bobo. Being a fan of early Detroit, Motown etc. for over 40 years has led me to find, so much more through my love of quality Soul etc. I don`t care if it`s The Wolf, Willie Tee, Curtis, Marvin, Johnny Mae etc. in the UK us oldies LOVE our Soul, and are thankful for the quality of music we have been given to enjoy.

  • i collect alot of shag music aka carolinia beach music. all of us from the carolinas keep this kind of music alive. we love it. this kind of music was made when you had to be creative and actually had to sing youre heart out.

  • Have to be honest and say its a track I love for personal reasons, and is amongst my favourite all time Motown sounds. Thanks for leaving a comment.

  • just great to hear again thanks

  • My pleasure to share this classic Tamla sound with you.

  • Love this track, a real northern stomper! Shame Motown never prompted the Monitors though obviously Richard Street went on to better things with the Temps.

  • I think they managed to produce some great tracks in the limited time they were together, Crying and Say You are my top two tracks, ( well, for today anyway, but that will change , it always does LOL).

  • Indeed they had some great tracks. My top at the moment is Step By Step (Hand In Hand) but like you I flip between tracks all the time HAHA! LOL! Check out my vids if you are a Motown nut, I upload alternate versions and mixes of classic motown tracks. :)
