  • What to expect n from them? Their grandfathers were riding camels and lived in tents. They have no taste and no common sense.

  • wow, just wow. Congratulations from Mexico. I might go to Dubai some day.

  • @sansez man your clearly jelous, but you know what? u do have a point saying that we need the money 4 later on ill give you that, but you NEVER have the right on talking shit about my country, u dont see me saying fking words about ur country at least our country is reaching to the best, we are trying our best to make tourists who come to dubai to like the things we have, you come , all this doesnt matter, because there is the jugment day, and ur gonna be judged on ur relegion not country

  • There is one similar in Madrid (Spain), but we also have some good snowy muuntains very close, at 60km, so we are better tan Dubai, hahahaha... ( only a joke...)

finally salam 4 everybody who are living in dubai >>>>.... anyway i have to tell other people speaking alot of shut and we r ganna do>>>.... i hate joules people

  • boring

  • Thats only your opinion. But in all honesty Dubai is as far removed from traditional Islam as is possible. Hopefully some strip clubs opening up there soon...we can only dream :D

  • @fahim113 5ayalik yal zag

  • Without gambling, more freedoms in Dubai, it will not draw the tourists to make it viable.

  • Dubai is going bankrupt and they waste money on ridiculous projects to impress the west.

They shouldve invested the money on manufacturing & savings, as Germany did 1950's & 60's

  • @sansez you just wish that your country has enough money to make something like dubai did.. so shut the fuck up.

  • @kokowah11

I wish Dubai also had that kind of money, but they dont.

    They borrow.

And learn to understand what you read before posting nonsense.

You save money for the hard time when it comes, not wasting it on ridiculous projects. Thats was my point.

And your comment also proves that you, people are like kids with to much candies

Do you see China doing this kind of stuff. No. They invest in manufacturing, is from there that the "real" wealth comes from.

  • What..? the UAE is just as capitalistic and secular in nature as any wealthy western country.. If anything they have used this notion of a "wealthy non-western nation" to their advantage as an attraction but look at the video.. you still have people praising consumerism above all else.. The western influence is quite obviously in stark contrast to the notion of the UAE being religious first. A true theocracy should resemble the vataican. This is just a capitalist country, with a hint of islam.

  • The ruins of Dubai are going to leave some wondrous, fascinating structures for future archaeologists to uncover in thousands of years time.

  • yeah... something like the Atlantis maybe..

  • @videochemist no one guves a shit about modern world. they wont care

  • and btw now they dont have to go to zell am see anymore. That place is overthrown with arabs each year.

  • off the HOOK!!!

  • Epic. I believe they have one in Japan as well (but of course this is for summer since Japan gets snow during winter). It's great that people in the Persian Gulf (who don't have the ability to travel far overseas) can make use of this attraction. :)

  • SKI domes itself are not that special. They have several in Europe, I believe the biggest is in Bottrop Germany. And in the Netherlands alone they have 4 ski domes.

Its just that the thing is in the freakin desert that makes it special. Its probably not really profitable, but who cares anyway, it cost them maybe 0,001 percent of their budget.

  • lol i went down the steepest slope in ski dubai and totally wiped out their collision wall - it was really fun anyway =] and the empty quarter is the best place to snowboard down dunes but the saudis took them =[

  • Get rid of Islam and Dubai will be a tourist paradise. Too many tourist are being arrested for doing Western things.

  • greddyt78,

Then off to Thailand I go.

  • Its a good opportunity for people who live in Dubai and has a hobby for skiing. This just presents itself as an opportunity without leaving the country. They have similar resorts all over the country? Why are people hating on this? Especially considering Dubai's large foreign population who live and work there. This is just another way to keep them happy. I highly doubt Dubai locals were dying to have a skii resort.

  • suck it up... you dont like anything ... so love it or shut the fuck up!

  • suck it up .. u fucking bastards. .. you dont like an

  • waste of money !

  • Why go to dubai when you can come to Canada for snowboarding... VANCOUVER 2010!!!

  • Dubai is the worst vacation ive ever taken . I will never go back . Its not very safe and people treat you poorly if your not an arab.

Notice how in the Dubai commercials they always have an english or french person presenting the commercial ....and yet they have the french , english and americans once you arrive .

  • bullshit come to switzerland for skiing! nothing against dubai i was there before and it was fantastic but only a fool would ski there :D

  • i agree, skiing on sand dunes is stupid. you can see the guy struggling to get through.

i grew up in dubai, and people only started doing that because they wanted to ski and there was nowhere to go locally. with the indorr ski slope, skiing in the desert is plain dumb.

  • yea also grew up there haha - yea the dunes are too small u need to go go out inthe empty quarter but thats in saudi now - they moved the border

  • when will this city stop making all of this cool things.

  • When all the money runs out..

  • They showed this ski park in The Amazing Race. hehe

  • Don't they have the same thing in Japan for the summer season?

  • lol i like how he makes difrent voices for everyone the funniest one is 3:25 haha :)

  • *lol different

  • There aren't any more Christian nations. They died years ago.

  • dubai is all the extremes of greed that capitalism is capable of producing. Absolutely disgusting, and now they rebuild the tower of bable... that too will fall.

  • Greed is a good thing.

  • hehehe :P oh right I'm sorry, I forgot....

  • Please don't get me started on the abysmal human rights records UAE has... and it's not like these people actually slogged in the desert for their country.. the expatriates did.. right from drilling their oil to cleaning their houses...

So, save the tripe for something else..

  • I don't know anything about HR, but 91% of their revenues come from non-oil sectors. Just 5% are locals the rest are expatriates. I doubt they would long there if it so bad. Don't you think so?

  • ILOVEDUBAI

  • i hope someone flies a plane into their tallest building

  • I cant stand seeing any country so wealthy that it doesn't know what to do with its money while children starve in other countries.. I wonder how much foreign aid they provide..

  • They do, but its peanuts compared to US and the tiny island Japan..

  • Japan is not tiny......

  • What about people who drive huge SUVs on subsidized gaz and run huge airconditioners 74/7 when it just 70? US is just 8% of population but consumes 37% of energy

  • yeah u.s. uses lots of energy that is a fact, but as more and more chinese, indian and other people from around the world enter the middle class, there simply won't be enough energy to go around, and the standard of living for all will even out i think (at least, this is what i hope will happen. either that or new technologies will come around that allows people to share a high standard of living, which is quite improbable in the next 20 years, but maybe the next 50 or 100).

  • Google "renewable energy" and "Portugal" or "Brazil" you will see that those countries have been using sugar-based ethanol, renewable methane, wind energy and solar power for everything from fueling their cars to everyday cooking.. If you search "the coconut revolution" you will see that the people of BoganVille fought for their independence in a war they fueled with coconut oil and hydroelectricity.. since the 90s they have been using their own human ingenuity to their advantage. why cant we?

  • With how fast technology is developing, I'd say 20 years is pretty accurate.

  • I agree with you; the U.S. and Japan are horrible.. definitely among the worst.. I have no problem criticizing my own country; i openly admit that many U.S. citizens are careless consumers and have no idea how much damage they cause. but that does not exempt other wasteful countries from scrutiny. so my statement on Dubai stands. Most of us in the so-called 1st world, need to learn how to work in tandem with nature not against it! I admire the efforts of Brazil and Portugal in this matter.

  • hate dubai people...over 60% of the population cant even speak arabic...lol

  • Dubai bites off more than it can chew... Time will tell..

  • 100%

  • Dubai's kewl. I've been to ski dubai, only cuz I finished shopping :P

  • I've been there. The skiing is mediocre, at best. It's more novelty than anything.

  • Wow.
