Little trivia about me: I was 12 years old when Wages of Sin was released. I went to Free Record Shop here in Helsinki and searched for metal cd's. I saw the album and bought it. As for the "Death Metal" part, that has to do with the strickly growl vocals and aggressive drums, there doesn't actually have to be any Death in it to be called such. Core is more like Killswitch Engage or something. I know i'm gonna get hate comments about KSE, but who cares. Genre's are dumb anyway. Just listen to metal.
