  • dude i love the blue angels

  • at 0:22 one of the pilots says "Semper Fi fellas" and it made me wonder if

Marine Corps pilots can be blue angels as well. Can anyone answer this?

  • @1TayD7 Yes

  • Just saw them in atlanta. fun to watch but its so populated they wont let them do those near miss stuff.. seeing them in denver was way better

  • NIce video and a a big FU to everyone giving this a thumbs down! Ur probably just hippies or envy ;)

  • They should fly B2's.

  • for some reason I just cannot believe that you're in the Air Force @f22cool... why? I just don't know...

  • Yea, verry common mistake. If you wana fly people around, and fly big ass plains, Join the Airforce. Wana be a top fighter pilot, and fly a Fighter Jet, Join the Navy. ;]

  • i really want to fly a f18 hornet but i dont want to go in the air force

  • Comment removed

  • i got them mixd up but i still really want to fly one because it would be so much fun to be in the air with such a amazing plane

  • no problem then since the air force does not use hornets. it is navy.

  • i always get them mixd up

  • @p2philip

Navy would be fucking awesome. Aircraft carrier

  • living on a boat? I dunno dude.

  • It really isn't that bad because It doesn't feel like a boat. You have everything there. Most of the time you forget you're even out to sea

  • @stgoalie Really? I dunno. I really want to be a military pilot. It has been a lifelong dream for me, but I'm leaning more towards the Air Force because of its greater fleet of aircraft, the ability to fly heavies, and avoiding the boat. But, the Navy does definitely have its advantages in terms of aviation. Were you in the navy?

  • Yes, I am currently in the Navy awaiting flight school in Pensacola. Although I only spent a month out to sea on a carrier, I think it gave me a good idea on life at sea. Tailhook life isn't too bad. You fly FA-18's to work. Ask anybody in the Air Force how Vance is, the Navy is the clear winner for me. Watch Top Gun or any Blue Angels documentary if you need more reason to join. Also, the majority of Air Force guys aren't pilots. The Navy also has non-tailhook planes.

  • @stgoalie I've talked to a lot of the air force guys, and although they complain of reflective belt shenanigans and such, the quality of life seems much better. I also heard that in the navy you have to do a lot of what they call "SLJs" or "Shitty little jobs", as in tons of crappy non-flying duties you have to do. I also heard the deployments are longer and more tedious, and that you will be away from home and famly far more in the navy than you would in the Air Force. Now don't get me wrong...

  • @stgoalie I would put up with all of this stuff in a heartbeat if it meant I got to become a military pilot, but I'd prefer not to if there was an alternative. I also read a pilot who served in both the navy and the air force compare the two, and he made the navy sound like crap. I don't know if any of it is true, I'll try to find the article for you. But it would be great if you could shed some light on the subject, as I know very little.

  • As far as quality of life goes, P-3 pilots stay in hotels and get paid per diem whiile detached. One of my Lt's was telling me about his first day in the Philippines with his new squadron. He stayed in a hotel and played beer pong with the other pilots when they didn't have a flight the next day. I'm not as educated on the Air Force, but I know that they're primarily used for support and bombing. Are you still in high school?

  • @stgoalie Yes, and my grades are excellent and I'm taking flying lessons. I do know that P-3s are the exception in the navy in terms of boat life, but again, that's about where my knowledge stops. My ultimate goal is to become a fighter pilot, but honestly as long as I'm in a cockpit I'm happy. Are pilot slots in the navy harder to get than the Air Force? I know they used to be, but I'm not sure what's going on now.

  • Anything that uses the 737 platform is land-based. As far as slots go, it changes yearly based on the needs of the Navy. You're going to need great eyes, no ailments that could DQ you, and good scores on the AStB. I would recommend a technical major and going through an ROTC program. They will help prepare you, and you won't need OCS before joining the fleet. Also, don't get your PPL. It'll DQ you from IFS and you'll go into API immediately. It just means less time to acclimate

  • @stgoalie Thanks. I'm not planning on getting my PPL, my current goal is Student Pilot's license. I do have perfect eyes and no ailments, and plan on doing ROTC in college, although I do not plan on a technical major. And is API in the Navy the equivalent of UPT in the air force?

  • air force does use hornets

  • @f22cool And what do they use them for?

  • strategic air strikes

  • Really, I thought they used F-16s and F-15Es for that. Are you thinking CF-18s. That's canada buddy.

  • no im not thinking of friken cf18s im in the air force and YES they do use fa 18s

  • I totally believe you. See, I'm an F/A-18D pilot assigned to VMFA(AW)-224. I'm aware that 1,848 A-D models were built and bought by the United States Navy,

    United States Marine Corps,

Royal Australian Air Force, The Swiss Air Foce, Finnish Air Force, and the Spanish Air Force. And the last four times I flew at Red Flag I only saw F-16s and F-15s, well last time three F-22s too. But I was never aware that the USAF uses hornets for combat missions. So what squadrons and how many?

  • guess your right i think i was thinking of the cf18s or the 4 fa18s that the nasa research center uses

  • It's okay, we all make mistakes.

  • then fly a remote controlled one! lol

  • i already do

  • OMG! look how low it is with gear up. 1:22

  • also @ 0.42

  • pictures and videos cant show how awesome this team is.. you need to see it in person.. they are unbelievable!

  • @quantomic1106 i love seeing them in person. they are extremeley inspriational

  • 1:30... awesome pic!

  • 2:28 = amazing

  • ? 228?

  • .. yeah the time in the vid.....

  • Best Blue Angels ever maaaaaaaaaaannnnnn!!!!!!!!

  • What You Want Is Some Red Arrows ; )

  • almost perfect mixture of music and images

  • My badddd.... miss the R!!

  • blue angles use A version...

    they´re F/A -18A Honet

    ok? lol

  • hoRnet*

  • I know its just pictures, but i enjoyed the radio chatter. Good video.

  • why did you google blue angels images and make a video? couldnt we just google them ourselves, lol

  • ok than why don't you?

  • the Red Arrows are well better than these!

  • They fly these chip 1,000 dollar peaces of crap. Stop whining the Blue Angels and the Thunder Birds are the best.

  • the thunderbirds r the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Same thing except ones the air force and ones the NAVY the thunder birds don't do as many shows though. Im going to the one in Rhode Island this july and the Blue Angels and the Canadian snowbirds are performing but the best part of the whole show is when the F/A-22 takes off.

  • are the blue angels super hornets or the older hornet still?? does any one know

  • They are still the older version. The "C" type,

  • @anchor654

I heard soon They'll be switching to the Super Hornet...

  • @anchor654 the blue angles fly the "A" model hornet

  • @srt4crazy250 EF/A-15 which is newer modle of the Hornet

  • my Dream Job!

  • I heard some comments elsewhere about the French pilots being the best in the world....uh....I think they got that wrong.

  • That's like saying that the Japanese are good pilots...

  • the frogs cant even get there ass off the ground lol

  • good music great video

  • Hey, great video montage of possibly the greatest aerobatic team that ever took to the skies. Very exciting to watch. I love the music accompanying it. Excellent work! You are to be commended!

    Ken Palmer

  • no the red arrows fly a-4s wich cant do the cool stuff that the f18 can d0

  • ... no the red arrows fly the bae Hawk..... oh dear hazmatcom1

  • who cares wat aircraft they fly its about their precision and overall maneuvers and performance

  • if it wasnt the f18 they wounldnt be able to do some of there airshow displays.

  • Ye, it doesnt matter who is better. In my opinion i wud class the Red Arrows better due to them doing many more manouvers and the ability to have a variety of formations. Also the Blue angels are good cause they can show the preormance of fast fighter jets at close and tightly kept formations. So stop the arguments please.

  • omg! the formation are exact by a few centimeters! wow!

  • words cannot describe the awesomeness and pride these brave men have in our great country. GO USA!

  • since i saw the blue angels at an airshow in the uk, i realised how much better american pilots are. tbh, check out some french pilots on youtube, pretty suicidal.

  • does anyone know where i ccould get radio chatter like this??

  • semper fi fellas! :)

  • Wow that was fantastic video and great music! Truly awesome!!!

  • pretty spectacular!!

  • sorry m8 u dont dirve a air craft as such u fly an air craft

  • Actually if you really understood fighter aircraft you would know that a true pilots calls himself a driver, for instance f-15 pilots are eagle drivers, and so one

you can look up a video called eagle driver made by actual USAF pilots if you ever hear someone say they drove fighters its not as dumb as you would think

  • MAYBE pussy airforce pilots call themselves drivers, but real pilots call themselves pilots, and they fly their airplanes, they dont drive them!

  • i drove won befor

  • on SFO in October 7-? almost every year

  • The blue angels have been in my city for a couple days. Air show tomorrow and Sunday!

  • As Marshall said, Apples and Oranges. Theres no denying the Red Arrows, Frecce Tricolori, The Snowbirds, and all the like are good but think about it. The Blue Angels fly with 6 aircraft that are a good bit larger than that of the BAE Hawk.

Also by flying 9 aircraft theres a range of manouvers they can do that the Blue's cant with 6.

  • Munkleh.. I agree the Red Arrows are a superb flight demo team. The official RA website is great. The RA formations are spectacular. The RA's are superior to USAF Thunderbirds in every way.

But we're comparing apples to oranges.

How many RA's are carrier qualified? I've put a FA18E on the deck in very BAD weather with bingo fuel. Been there, done that.

The RA's are good, but they ain't BA good in my opinion.

    Gopher CVN 76

  • The Red Arrows aren't RN pilots, so.. none of them. And as we lack such massive carriers, I don't think we have any pilots so qualified.

Still, I'd like to see you beat the Black Arrows some time, carrier qualified or not. ;)

  • Sorry but the Brits Suck. Great still images and Air cntrl voice over is outstanding. Better than most of the videos out there. Should be considered for recruiting material.

As a former naval aviator... GREAT JOB!

  • Uuhh.. The Red Arrows are one of the best display teams in the world. And the Blue Eagles are some of (if not the) best pilots in the world. If you don't know who they are, look them up.

  • nice video. i still think the red arrows are a much better display team. come on you brits!!

  • wow what a great video (;

keep up thhe good work on the videos!!!

I sure love the blue angels aAnd fat allbert...

  • Thank you. Glad you enjoyed!

  • this was a amzing vid awsome job

  • wow those r some amazing planes

  • omg i know the caption russ bartlet he rox he dirt bikes with me goes to my house he rox

  • he is my friend too!

  • Have you watched 'Blue Angels: A Year In The Life'?

  • Yeah that DVD is badass. Boss Bartlett has a really interesting voice, it's cool to listen to the way he talks on the mic.
