Steve Cooley is a hypocrite. I heard an interview where he criticized Jerry Brown (our current AG) for not defending Prop 8 in court but when asked about Prop 19 (legalizing marijuana) he said he would not defend that in court if it passed. From what I understand, the AG has the right to decide not to defend a law that is clearly unconstitutional -- like Prop 8.

@eaglefan9727 No voting civil rights have been denied. You did indeed exercise and get to vote. Unfortunately you chose to use it to deprive a minority of THEIR civil rights, and in AMERICA basic civil rights are not up to a majority vote. That's what keeps us EQUAL under the law.

If the majority of california voted Yes on 8, then the majority of california will also vote No on Kamila harris. Everyone knows that Gay men in particular never stay devoted to one partner. The average gay man has had over 500 sexual partners in their lifetime, the average straight man has had around 15. Lesbians are different in their sexual behavior because they are women, but men in general are so sexually driven, that they just don't stay in monogamous gay relationships. Married or not..
