Probably the reason it is not done in professional football very often, is because opposing defenses are too good too allow plays like that to develop. By the first or second lateral, they would have been tackled.

That was unreal! The thing I noticed is that some of the players pitched the ball back before they absoloutely had to. That allowed them to make good clean laterals without being under to much pressure. So many of these last second plays, players wait til their being takled before making some crazy errant lateral that kills the play. Great stuff.

i'm sorry, i'm new in this sport, mi passion is FOOTBALL (what you guys call soccer) but this sport is really interesting for me, i like it, so, my question is...how many passes can be done in a play? cause i usually see 2 in a normal play, and the other question...why if the ball falls at 0:58, the play continues?

@kornverfield20 This game stops is when a forward pass is not completed or the person with the ball is tackled or if the person with the ball runs out of bounds.

@kornverfield20 yep the ball is still in play and the only rule in passing is that the ball can only be passed forward behind the line of scrimmage after that it can played like rugby tossed backward only. but most of the time it is not.

but u can throw it backwards as many times as u want
wen the ball hit the ground it was considered a fumble because he threw it backwards

Not exactly: the rules allow you to pass the ball behind you.
This time the team didn't know what to do... it was the last chance to score and to win so with a mix of desperation and pure genius they made it :D

That was unreal! The thing I noticed is that some of the players pitched the ball back before they absoloutely had to. That allowed them to make good clean laterals without being under to much pressure. So many of these last second plays, players wait til their being takled before making some crazy errant lateral that kills the play. Great stuff.

Its like when a good team plays a shit one and sees how many times they can pass the ball. Did you see the Quaterbacks throw at the start. It span like a windmill. The commentaters both blown one off in their pants when he scored. Looked like rugby that play. You know the sport were they do the same thing but without massive padding.
