You don't need to use gargoyle as you can do it as blood or frost. I did it as frost, but my DK is tank, so I had loads of health up at all time without healing at all. Got both mount and the pet in just 11 tries :D Acced is my DK's name, Arathor EU

i soloed this place place on my arcane mage and on my prot pally. for mages the trick is to burn it really fast before he kills you. i was able to burst 10kdps on all bosses inside mgt, wasnt hard. i also have 4p of t10. i tried soloing before t10 was out with 4p of t9 and i was not able to even kill 1st boss. in the end i got my mount on my mage! GL!

guys ret paladins can solo all level 70 hcs and karazahn, just use seal of light, and if u have 2 pieces of tier 10 ret paladin gear for devine storm procs u can facerape kara solo all bosses and all level 70 hcs try it :) ive made 10k gold soloing hcs and kara and got exalted with lots of factions

I solo'd him not too long ago on my ret/prot pally. I started playing during Wrath, but I really love a lot of the BC instances and their bosses. They just had more to them, like when Kael levitates you in this fight. I love Wrath, but too many Wrath bosses are just tank & spank. >.>

But yeah, this particular encounter is in Magister's Terrace, but he only drops a White Hawkstrider mount on Heroic mode(no phoenix). If you fight the raid version of him in The Eye in Tempest Keep, he has a small chance of dropping the 310% speed phoenix mount.

THAT encounter I wouldn't recommend trying to solo. Maybe when Cataclysm comes out and you hit level 85. Otherwise, I'd recommend bringing 1 tank and 1 healer, if you're going to DPS.
