Hey, there is no "vintage" and "normal"... I assume you're talking about amps. I researched hard before choosing the Vox AC15. The reason I like it is because of the tremolo and reverb. Really excellent effects. The amp has one 12" speaker, so it's not too heavy, yet it has enough power to power the Rhodes. The amp is also all tube, so it gives a nice over drive. It's a good price for all tube also as compared to the Fender Hot Rod or the like. Good luck!

I run my mk2 88 through an AC-15. It's amazing. I found this video because I wanted to see if anyone else had documented the magic. Great video!

@TerdVader - thanks! Why don't you post your video as a reply on your mk2 88!

Is there any danger of blowing out your ac15? I have a wurlitzer and a ac15, but I've heard some bad things about running keys through a guitar amp
jedidillon 2 years ago
I've had no problems so far. I guess if you run it on full volume for hours it might blow out, but otherwise it's fantastic.

The Mark Is have a more bell-like quality. The Mark IIs have a mellower voice.
