I was really hoping for a shiny Elekid or Magby but of course on my THIRD try I hatched a shiny Cleffa (took me about 45 minutes total to hatch three eggs) and then I just said f*ck it and saved. :D Oh well. I've been through about 6 play throughs in pokemon games without encountering a wild shiny so hopefully I find something soon wild but the shiny Cleffa still is cool.

Serebii is wrong, it has around a 12% chance of being shiny.

I got a shiny Magby once. He was gold as a Magby, and when he evolved, he was purple. He was badass. Lol

Love the evolved forms of these pokemon, which is why I'm using them this playthrough.

If i put a shiny Pokemon (Magby) in the day care with a regular Ditto, will the chances of the egg being shiny increase? I love shiny Pokemon ^.^

only 2 shinies i have ever gotten with no hacks or anything were a shiny SandSlash and a pidgey. oh and then of corse the shiny gyrados.

Instead all other countries get like 12.5% or pretty much the same rate as getting a female starter pokemon. I think this one is more accurate cuz I never get a shiny, or a don't get the one i want, but i always get female starters D;

I've only gotten two; Shiny Elekid and Cleffa from the odd egg. Shiny Elekid evolved

I think it said on Serebii that it's 50% chance of that odd Egg hatching as Shiny. So best idea is to save close to hatching to get a shiny one :D

if you save after you receive the egg it will always be the same pokemon and shininess, you have to save right before you talk to the daycare man to receive the egg.

Breeding a shiny pokemon with a normal one will make the chances of the egg containing a shiny 1/64.

i agree. i would love if they inreased the chances of hatching shinies when breeding with shinies to 1/64, like g/s/c. that would be so cool. but for now i guess i'll have to hatch tons of eggs to try to hatch my first shiny.
