  • doesnt matter where the tune came from....it is just a sweet coupe of voices. they could have been singing about terrorism......but i still gives one chills........it;s simply the artist and the beauty of talent.

  • i love this tune...so very Beautiful...they are together!

  • one of my fav. songs, though conaisseurs have to agree with me that the tune is originally written by Bach for the Mattheus Passion. It's the exact same tune.

  • do you know any web links that show this?? I've been looking around youtube and found many St. Matthew Passion videos but I dont think Im listening to the right part? I don't see the connection.

  • One of my favorite songs. I love my country but this song to me is about all the mistakes we've made and how far off track we are from what we used to be. It's sad and thankful at the same time.

  • I don't think the simple combination of two voices and an acoustic guitar ever has or ever will get any more perfect than this.

  • Perfect live performance, and the gentle pad Garfunkel give's to Simon in the end

  • Huge Paul Simon fan

  • Chokes me up every time

  • it is good...but i find that paul simon's version is much better..

  • This song, it is rarely noted, is the main motif of Bach's Saint Matthew Passion.

  • i think art garfunkel's voice is absolutely perfect. i think its unique and recognizable

  • one of my all time favourite tunes, love paul simon especially though.

  • Well Paul's voice has definitely aged better. Art still has that breathy delivery but it's a bit rough now. Probably too much smoking.

  • art still grabs the mike... lol. i don't think he ever learned how to preform... he needs something to fiddle with, like paul does.

overall one of my favorite songs, and the two HAVE to sing it together. it's a must. it sounds better when they are together.

  • Love it!! Legends.

  • well...would you be able to have the voice you had when you were 25 when you're 63, so be my guest! Whine about it...

Art sings it higher here than he's done from the beginning, and it's beautiful! I agree the voice has aged quite alot, but quite natural with time!

  • I think Elvis once said something about not being able to reach some high notes that he was able to when he was younger. He said, "You gotta have it built in the right place." :-)

  • I've watched the clip a few times & I can't see him failing to hit the high notes! A superb effort if you ask me. I wish my voice was that bad! I saw them on this tour & they were terrific. I think Art has one of the purest singing voices I have ever heard.

  • Wonderful! I listened to and watched this concert in Stockholm, Sweden and this song was as beautiful there as it is here.Thank you!
