  • Silversteins' economy recovers just fine.

  • The economy has been on a steady downhill slide since the 60s. My second job I ever had I started at $6.00/hr (3 times minimum wage in 1978) the same job now starts at $8.00/hr (barely over minimum wage) This is true accross the board in the private sector. The government sector has, however kept pace with the CPI. So we have a shrinking tax base pay for an increasing spending base. It will come crashing down with devastating effects if not corrected. Any solutions?

  • @sonex424 yeah, we have to take the hit. the entire monetary system has to fail in order to give way to new system

  • What a humbling story Dan...Sounds like you had a guardian angel looking out for you and got you out of there a few years early. I was playing a little in the stock market back then and would turn on CNBC around 9 in the morning. I'll never forget watching everything unfold live. I think the economy rebounded from the initial shockwaves that rippled through the financial markets and our country after 911, but I don't think the shitty economy we have now is a result of those cowards.

  • As for the economy impacting the storage auctions now, I'm seeing things get really bad in my area and I've noticed it picking up a head of steam the last 2 months. For the month of Sept. there are enough storage auctions scheduled within a 1/2 ride of myself that I could literally hit an auction a day for the rest of the month. I have one coming up Monday with 5 units that I'm going to try to maybe get a little video of.

  • ¡Great video!
