This is one of five songs that can make me cry right on the spot. Most of my friends had the clock music box that played this song. The words themselves are tear-inducing. But, I remember playing with my friend's clock music box playing this song one day before my Dad and I had dinner together alone. I think about my Dad when I hear this song.

I think I must be the only person in the world who didn't know this song. Once Piketamer requested it, I did a little research and I love the story that I read about it in Wikipedia. Strangely, when I was little, I loved Grandfather Clocks but apparently, I never wondered about the name.
