I bought the cut outs of these CDs, NGD and Sparkle in the Rain around 1991.. barely got them before they weren't available.. awesome remastered copies are available now of all the 80's albums.. Its a great song. Reminds me of when I was 12 and playing the cassette tapes.. :)

I saw Simple Minds live in NYC in the 1980s - on a warm summer evening, outside at the west side piers - next to the tourist ship The Intrepid. I attended my share of U2 concerts back then, too. But Simple Minds was and will always be total magic, magnificent and in a class of their own. I somehow knew this back then.. How can this music be so brilliant and beautiful and barely anyone (that I knew at least) was listening? Strange how this made the music more special - still does.
