Oh no, not that stupid "white noise" system that Liverpool University students tried selling to everyone. IT DOESN'T WORK, IT'S POINTLESS. They tried it on emergency vehicles and it was ditched, then fire alarms and that was ditched, but they STILL persist with it. It was/is a total flop! Those announcements echo and are unclear. What if the tunnel floods?
There is a geological fault and they pump thousands of gallons of water out each day. Search for "mersey tunnels pumping station"...
Totally OTT for such a short tunnel.
