i have never seen a dodge viper do critical damage to a person maybe you have a relative, but me personally have never heard of any deaths or an ambulance take some one to the hospital by the vipers fault, or theirs.

The road was very bumpy and the viper hit a part in the road that had 2 bumps right after another. When the viper hit the second bump, the rear end of the car went airborne and caused the car to land sideways causing it to skid off the road. The guy Tork who drives the viper is actually one of the best drivers you'll ever see!
I saw the full length of this in 2005, the guy hit a pot hole that blew his left rear tire which caused the car to spin to the left and go off the road.
Blowing a tyre may have many causes, and driving way too hard on bad roads, is one of them. Tyres can also be damaged, before they desintegrate completely.

Agreed! And you need to check them regularly for bubbles. These can occur from hitting a curb earlier. Also nails can get in there and it can be some time before they cause a blowout - often at high speed. So reg. checking important - or risk ending up like this.

Speaking as the owner of three sports cars (2 Porsches and a BMW M3), it's pretty hard to feel sorry for this idiot. Glad it was just him and no other innocent road users involved. Events like the Gumball give all car enthusiasts a bad rep.

For all of the people saying that the racers have to no skill, stfu. Sure, there may be a good number that honestly don't have much experience fast cars, but there are also accidents that are just complete mishaps like the one above. And to call them COWARDS is ignorant.

they are talentless cowards. if they had any skill at all they would race in a real series, like alms, koni, or one lap against real drivers that would destroy them. this just shows that they are without skill or judgment. these are just rich kids playin with daddy's money

And some of them already do. There are a few pro racers that do it, including rally and track. I understand there is a lot of risk involved when people take chances, but this clip is a prime example of an actual "accident." There is nothing anybody could have done here (short of just not driving) that would have prevented this crash.

These are not real racing drivers! They are Fakes and COWARDS! If they were real, they would participate in a sanctioned race against real race drivers. if u pause at 7 seconds u can see smoke coming from the tire. it just looks like he cut a tire and thats what sent him off the road. even the best of drivers can crash from that. but only because it shoots ur car 1 direction and is unexpected

There was consecutive bumps in the road, the suspension didnt have time to recover, and cased the 2nd bump to cause a wheel hop, and send the car out of control.
