I don't know any religion who say that you are not going to harm. They say "love to all" but it is not the same to say "harm none". You still follow the rule of love to all even you harm in selvdefence or to hunt. In Wicca the rule is "love to all beings" but it is allowed to harm in hunting and selfdefence. "Harm none" is very misleading concept.
I understand alot of what you said and I too use to smoke, someone told me it won't stop you from going to heaven it just might get you there faster.

As a christian I believe that nobody can be perfect in anything. This is the whole point of Christian teaching. This why forgiveness of sins is needed through belief in Jesus. Every human will sin countlessly throughout their life, but all will be forgiven according to Jesus.
To add to your point, as orthodox as you want to be, we still live in the 21st century and most religious doctrines were set down well over 1000 years ago. Judaism for example: the strict dietary laws were made because the Jews were a nomadic people, they could not properly clean pigs and thus if they ate pigs they. Jews cannot eat milk and meat together because scientifically, the milk curdles and can make you sick. They did not have the time to sit and digest food, today we do. Times change.
To add to that, those opposed to that view will argue that you do not need to adhere to a Religion in totality in order to be considered apart of that Religion because they will argue there are levels of devout as opposed to "For the Religion" or "Against the Religion", common examples are a Priest, or the Pope. The truth is, there is no perfect answer to this. It's a debatable issue. The same issue resides in law. If you break just one law, can you be considered a criminal by the state?

Didn't really agree entirely with this video. I mean when I decided to become Wiccan, I knew from the start that I wouldn't believe in everything Wiccans believe in, because one of the things I liked about Wicca was that there was no Holy Book to tell me what to do. So I don't believe in Leprachauns and weird crap like that. But if people like Christians set out with the Bible and preach to others about what not to do, then that makes them a hypocrit and it's not okay.
As far as I know you do not claim to be a priestess, and so it is unreasonable for folks to attack you for not setting a perfect example IMHO. You should quit smoking, drinkers should quit drinking, everyone should eat organic locally grown food, exercise for an hour or two a day, meditate/pray daily, help those less fortunate than themselves, etc. But we are flawed beings, and our faith is expressed in our striving for, not our attainment of, perfection.

Absolutely.
Any Christian by accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior, is following Christianity 100%. That's the ONLY requirement to being a Christian. The rest is guidance by the Holy Spirit which is a shared and common experience of all Christians.

It's true that some of the groups of believers don't exactly follow their beliefs,but your making some HUGE generalizations in this video! I think some of them are a little unfair....yes people screw up, but if they are true believers in the religion then they at least TRY not to screw up.
I don't know much about Wicca but if your trying to defend your smoking defend it only in reference to your religion rather than going ahead and bringing down the entire concept of religious belief/adherence.

i am christine, and i agree we all don't follow the rules, and i agree with u for once that we all make mistakes. i believe that god put rules to guage how we do on earth to get into heaven, but i also think if u believe god will save u he will. there are some many religions out there once ppl find one it is most likely they will not switch. plz post back.

I do respect your beliefs? Believe it or not! As a skeptic and yes an athiest I just wish the faith/freaks could prove anything they say? We have Science and the "Scientific Method". ( it cuts through Bullsh#t , like a hot knife through butter.) Freedom of religion also means freedom from it! A person comes to a conclusion through reason and logic. Or one does not. Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try, no hell below us...nothing to kill and die for and no religion too. IMAGINE.

My field of study is chemistry but I would argue with you that anyone and everyone is scientist! We all ask questions? The thirst for knowledge is embedded in our species. A theory in science is closest thing we know to the truth about the natural world.(relitivity,gravity,evolution) And the list goes on. We could be wrong

Religion is based on faith. One definition of faith is: a firm belief in something for which there is no proof.
That is man's definition. For christians, as well as other faiths, their proof (to themselves) is their own personal experience with (their) Creator. This is something that's hard to explain to non-believers.
Man doesn't convert another man to God. God only uses man.
Therefore, I guess, (we) man will find out (or not, or it wouldn't matter) the truth to this arguement, when we die.

Your assertion appears to be depicting justification. If you are a wiccan then you must adhere to the entire doctrine with no equivocations.
You are either a wiccan or a non-wiccan. You cannot be luke warm. If act contrarily, while the doctrine states that you must not harm yourself then you are not a wiccan.

Religion I think is a form of control using the energy of fear (in my opinion). Your video was not about that, which is to the point that being strict to what you believe is most likely impossible. That means that no one should follow their religion 100% IMO, instead disect that religion and do what feels right for you!
It seems that you enjoy smoking cigarettes, and I was there too. I heck I am a non smoker and love being around smokers for I know 2nd hand is not good, but i love it

What was the point in going around the question? If someone asked you why you smoke why not just say because I want to or before I became a wiccan I smoked? Nobody asked about every religions code and how people brake them. Jesus Christ alone can wash away every sin anyone has ever committed, be-cause of what He did on the cross. By paying the penalty for our sin, He can release us from the torture of guilt. We cannot do anything in the way of religious works to wash away our sins. Forgiveness is a free gift of God (Ephesians 2:8,9).

In all major religions, the followers strive to rid themselves of sin through various practices. They may pray in a prescribed way, do various good works, deny themselves legitimate sexual pleasure, follow dietary restrictions, lie on beds of nails, etc. The uniqueness of Jesus is shown in His statement, "The Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins." No other religious leader has ever made this claim.

I have been waiting for someone to rationally explain these theological constructs that people with degrees in theology simply can not explain. Please don`t keep me waiting. Look up (skeptics annotated bible) look at old testament cruelty and also explain how the scientific aspects that were disproved wrong are actually right. I will be waiting but i will not hold my breath on it.

I totally agree with you. I'm Wiccan and I use paper towels, I drive, and I fight with my paretns.
And TheWriterOfAbsurdity is also right. Like, the Bible says that you can't eat shellfish or wear an outfit made of two different types of material. These rules were written thousands of years ago and people don't necessarily have to follow them today.

I don't know the details of wicca, but I've observed that wiccans tend to be non-evangelical in their approach, and "lead' more by example.

As a christian I believe that nobody can be perfect in anything. This is the whole point of Christian teaching. This why forgiveness of sins is needed through belief in Jesus. Every human will sin countlessly throughout their life, but all will be forgiven according to Jesus.

To add to your point, as orthodox as you want to be, we still live in the 21st century and most religious doctrines were set down well over 1000 years ago. Judaism for example: the strict dietary laws were made because the Jews were a nomadic people, they could not properly clean pigs and thus if they ate pigs they. Jews cannot eat milk and meat together because scientifically, the milk curdles and can make you sick. They did not have the time to sit and digest food, today we do. Times change.

To add to that, those opposed to that view will argue that you do not need to adhere to a Religion in totality in order to be considered apart of that Religion because they will argue there are levels of devout as opposed to "For the Religion" or "Against the Religion", common examples are a Priest, or the Pope. The truth is, there is no perfect answer to this. It's a debatable issue. The same issue resides in law. If you break just one law, can you be considered a criminal by the state?

Well, that's still debatable. Can you be considered "Religious" so to speak, if you fail to follow at least one of rules indoctrinated in said Religion. To some yes. To those defending that position, they'll argue that in order to be apart of that Religion, you must remain 100 % true to it, otherwise, you aren't, because there is a part of it that your failing to adhere to.

Gambling, smoking , drinking alcohol, being dependant on legal or illegal drugs are judged as immoral and unethical practices by the bible-punchers and the health elitist zealots.

Didn't really agree entirely with this video. I mean when I decided to become Wiccan, I knew from the start that I wouldn't believe in everything Wiccans believe in, because one of the things I liked about Wicca was that there was no Holy Book to tell me what to do. So I don't believe in Leprachauns and weird crap like that. But if people like Christians set out with the Bible and preach to others about what not to do, then that makes them a hypocrit and it's not okay.

As far as I know you do not claim to be a priestess, and so it is unreasonable for folks to attack you for not setting a perfect example IMHO. You should quit smoking, drinkers should quit drinking, everyone should eat organic locally grown food, exercise for an hour or two a day, meditate/pray daily, help those less fortunate than themselves, etc. But we are flawed beings, and our faith is expressed in our striving for, not our attainment of, perfection.

Holy crap. You point out that people can't live up to all religious guidelines so as to justify your own religious short-comings. Basically you're saying other people break religious rules so it's ok for you to break yours.
All that matters is faith? What does that even mean? All that matters to whom? You? Others? Your deity(s)? What if someone has total faith that killing you in the name of their deity is good?

Like I said in my comment, All Religions contradict themselves, they're just as imperfect as the people who falowed them, and those who created them, so there's no point in fighting, we need to face the fact that as Humans, we have flaws and cannot fallow every rule and guideline before us. And by the way, Wiccans believe in karma, if we break a rule, supposedly we are punished for it in the now and then.
