  • i have no clue how i reached here

  • No religion provides for free will.

    None of them.

    Christianity...Judaism...Buddhism...Wicca...Scientology...none of them.

They're all the same. Each strives to exert control over a group of people.

Religion is for those who need the support of others or something outside of themselves to explain their existence or justify their actions.

Choose atheism. And if you do I'm sure you'll find yourself living your life in accordance with the the things that matter most to you.

  • @teejate that's organized religion. Buddhism isn't an organized religion.

  • @ilinaeternity Uh...you might want to take a second and do a little research on that one.

  • I don't know any religion who say that you are not going to harm. They say "love to all" but it is not the same to say "harm none". You still follow the rule of love to all even you harm in selvdefence or to hunt. In Wicca the rule is "love to all beings" but it is allowed to harm in hunting and selfdefence. "Harm none" is very misleading concept.

  • I understand alot of what you said and I too use to smoke, someone told me it won't stop you from going to heaven it just might get you there faster.

I am a Buddhist-Christian, and I see it more of away of life the a religion. Religion is set for something you are conformed to do daily or weekly.with what i believe, there are the two commandment Christ told the teachers of the law, are most important 1. Love God, 2. Love others. and everything will come as followed.

  • you talk so much shit in your videos lmao you wiccans are always defending yourselves lmao

  • Christianity is also against pedophilia.

    But ask the catholics......

  • Thank you for being on point with your comments. As a Christian, I must respectfully disagree with you about some of your comments about Christianity. I would also encourage you to investigate what is actually in and not in the Bible. For more information about Christianity, may I suggest the book The New Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell. Andrew

  • i also believe that no religion is perfect but (not that im trying to) i cant find any flaws in wicca. and the only reason im saying that krisse is because wicca is a very liberal religion. you can believe in almost anything you want.

  • I'm not a religious person. I've never been a big fan of poisioning my mind

  • Where did you get that part about Muslims being against interacial marriage? That doesn't match up with anything I know about Islam. (I could see that it might be a tenent of the Nation Of Islam, but you really can't call them 'orthodox Muslims').

I lived my whole life being surrounded by devout Christians, and I never knew what Lent was for. I don't think many churches around here observe it.

  • Wow you don't anything about Christianity. You clearly do not know anything about the bible. You have not read the true bible. Instead of looking at everything at Wikipedia, learn from the real source, the real truth, the HOLY BIBLE. What you practice is evil and if you truly read the Holy Bible, you would know that what you do is worshiping the devil.

  • Doesn't your bible mention something about tolerance? Just live and let live.

  • Alne, you make me laugh on the inside, really, really hard. If ANYONE read the bible and took it for face value they would realize that one christians do, and what the "Holy Bible" teaches, are complete opposites. I mean jesus christ are you daft? Like did you know that over 4000 commandants have been past down and the vatican records... 10! 10 commandmants I mean really! wtf

  • @alne i was raised in a christian family. my father was an evangelical minister. i can quote the bible as well as the next person... now here's some facts about our religion: 1) Satan's your boy not ours. He does not play a factor in our religion at all. WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE DEVIL THEREFOR WE CANNOT WORSHIP HIM. 2) if you take your bible and put it out in the sun and rain it will fall apart. our bible is the sun and the rain. now to quote your book: "judge not and ye shall not be judged"

  • @alne holy bible i writen by MAN, not by god for one thing...another is christanty itself is new....it's not (Give me that OLD time religion) ..that's Pagan religions, you're so call One god has killed so many people and started many war's and started countless murders all in the name of *god*. better know the TRUE fact's.

  • better you speak to a skilled psychologist about YOU haha

  • Yes, there is a religion that can be followed 100% and it will let you be who you are, while following ALL edicts ! First ashout out to ytany84; do us a favor and quit breathing! NO really quit breathing cause the air is poison and would you take a poison pill from a DR.?? Anywho I would recommend girl you check out the "Gospel of The Flying Spaghetti Monster"! The F.S.M. has ONLY 8 edicts..well kinda sorta..anyway there called" 8 I'd really rather you didn'ts" ! gave to us by Capt. Mosey! RAmen!

  • Quit breathing..?

Air is poisoned!..WTH kinda of response is that. You only prove my point idiot

    Breathing is needed you moron!

Smokers do it; not because they have to, but because they want to.

You probably would accept those poison pills from a doctor judging by your response.

  • In the United States, several studies show, particulate air pollution alone kills 60,000 people yearly.

Air pollution in all its forms - including sulfur dioxide, ozone, fine particles, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides

provides an est. of 182,553 tons of poisons in the air in the U.S. alone. the pollutants provided by cigarettes in SO NEGLIGIBLE that it is not listed by E.P.A. BTW name calling is a sign of immaturity and low intelligence. Please take that poison pill for all our sakes!

  • Exposure to air pollution is unavoidable and while it surely is a threat to humans efforts are being done to minimize this.

Quit undermining the facts of cigarettes. They contain poisons including - Acetone, Cyanhydric acid, Carbon monoxide, Nicotine, Methanol and more. Smoking and second hand is deadly. Does more harm than good. Immature is someone failing to realize that something is harming them and instead of quiting they justify it.

  • The poison pill illustration was meant for raising conciousness out of idiots like you. I do not voluntarily inhale poisons. You probably do. Good health to ya.

  • Low intelligence is what smoking eventaully does provide. According to a new study led by University researchers, long-term tobacco use in men is associated with a weakened thinking ability and lowered IQ.

I wonder what other facts your going to pull out in order to water down cigarettes as something innocuous. You have silly reasoning.

  • What's worse than smoking is beating oneself up for it -- let alone others. And criticizing others like some commenters here do cannot really be in the spirit of Wicca.

  • You don't need Religion to tell you not to harm yourself!!

To me smoking is so stupid and shows no respect for your life. (But hey it's your life, so do want you want)..Anyways imagine this: You go to a doctor and he tells you "Im going to give you a poison that will shorten your life every time you take it, you must take 5-10 pills daily"

    The question is.. ..

Would you take those F***in pills?

I've formulated that question to smokers and get the most stupidest answers ever!!!

  • You are right.

But smokers think smoke tastes great, but only because they are hooked on it. If i was told to smoke a cigarette i would smoke a mint leaf cig because it isn't as risky

  • Comment removed

  • People are always going to bitch about laws!!

"Let you Be yourself"?? What is that suppose to mean?

  • So you think it is ok to slam other peoples beliefs and sit in judgement of them? How do you know whether some don't follow their religious beliefs wholehearledly? Why are you attacking what others believe to justify your own hypocrisy? You were the one who said smoking was against what you believe not us!

  • Ran out of characters:

Statement: Man doesn't convert man to God. God only uses man.

Man has free will. He could either accept God or not, that's our choice in life where it pertains to our spiritually.

It applies to all beliefs as well, even atheism. We all make our own decisions, so we live (and die) with them.

  • Opps...sorry. Big Bang not Band. listening to something on my I-pod.

  • Krissie, you don't have to justify why you smoke to your viewers.

Obviously, this subject has been bothering you. You how what's right for you and it's up to you to do what you have to do.

  • Absolutely.

Any Christian by accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior, is following Christianity 100%. That's the ONLY requirement to being a Christian. The rest is guidance by the Holy Spirit which is a shared and common experience of all Christians.

  • 0:34

From the charge of the goddess

"for law is love unto all beings"

    How do you inteprate it?

  • It's true that some of the groups of believers don't exactly follow their beliefs, but your making some HUGE generalizations in this video! I think some of them are a little unfair....yes people screw up, but if they are true believers in the religion then they at least TRY not to screw up.

I don't know much about Wicca but if your trying to defend your smoking defend it only in reference to your religion rather than going ahead and bringing down the entire concept of religious belief/adherence.

  • well this is tricky topice so here we go.

i am christine, and i agree we all don't follow the rules, and i agree with u for once that we all make mistakes. i believe that god put rules to guage how we do on earth to get into heaven, but i also think if u believe god will save u he will. there are some many religions out there once ppl find one it is most likely they will not switch. plz post back.

  • micashergan i love how "atheist" have no freaking respect for other people beliefs. its the anti religion religion.

  • I do respect your beliefs? Believe it or not! As a skeptic and yes an athiest I just wish the faith/freaks could prove anything they say? We have Science and the "Scientific Method". ( it cuts through Bullsh#t , like a hot knife through butter.) Freedom of religion also means freedom from it! A person comes to a conclusion through reason and logic. Or one does not. Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try, no hell below us...nothing to kill and die for and no religion too. IMAGINE.

  • micashergan: C'mon, atheist and christians are in the same boat. You, trying to prove to christians that God doesn't exist is just the same as a christian proving to an Atheist that God exist. You're expressing your faith by believing in written scientific journals.

You're not a scientist. You are taking their word for it.. Do you truly understand their studies or just repeat and recite their theories? Reason and logic isn't truth just by popular belief.

  • The burden of proof rests on the shoulders of the ones' making the claim? How can you/me/anyone disprove a negative? Can I ask you a qustion?! Disprove unicorns, or leprecons? My field of study is chemistry but I would argue with you that anyone and everyone is scientist! We all ask questions? The thirst for knowledge is embedded in our species. A theory in science is closest thing we know to the truth about the natural world.(relitivity, gravity, evolution) And the list goes on. We could be wrong

  • We could be wrong though I doubt we are. Not when it comes to this thing called religion/faith. If reason and logic were popular beleif? I don't know how to answer that? what religion? what faith?

If reason and logic were popular we wouldn't need religion or faith. Check Mate

  • I agree with you 100% : The burden of proof rests on the shoulders of the one's making the claim.

CLAIM (I'm quoting you): We have science and the "scientific method". (It cuts through bullsh#t, like a knife through butter).

Please prove to me that The big band theory and the theories on the origin of life are no longer theories.

(These were the scientist I was referring to).

  • I can't. No scientist can. Everything in science is a theory! It evolves as I type. The only thing higher(held with higher regard) is mathematics. Testable results? if you make a claim of truth?! Lets test your claim? That's science.

  • Religion is based on faith. One definition of faith is: a firm belief in something for which there is no proof.

That is man's definition. For christians, as well as other faiths, their proof (to themselves) is their own personal experience with (their) Creator. This is something that's hard to explain to non-believers.

Man doesn't convert another man to God. God only uses man.

Therefore, I guess, (we) man will find out (or not, or it wouldn't matter) the truth to this arguement, when we die.

  • I don't care what you believe in? Yet I do! Ignorance is not bliss. You can hide behide your magic (faith)all you want? Talk to me when you want to talk Science? It's always your way to God? why is that? Other people don't have such ignorance in fairy tales? Yes they do!

Why is your Fairy tale better then the other ones? It's not.(your fighting over nothing)

Science asks the hard questions. ( we don't need a GOD to explain things ANYMORE) SORRY. sorry

  • once again! All religion is folly..... I love how people of religion defend thier ignorance... One can spell faith and fraud the sameway.

  • I attack your grandpa for eating bacon and eggs the other night. Not because he ate pig, but because he ate bacon and eggs at night.

  • Yeah, and you're not supposed to feed grandpas after midnight... or get water on them.

  • True we do screw up.

The Bible does say that we aren't prerfect.

If you want to bash Christianity I think you should meet and talk with me. I can answer your questions better.

  • What about this is anti-Christian? This is a video from a person who has made an observation, and it seems to me that she's acting fairly unbiased about it.

  • I'm just saying a lot of what she is saying is true but things like Lent are not in the Bible as law. It's just somthing that Catholics like to do.

I didn't say she is unfair. Just he facts aren't right.

  • Smoking cigarettes and driving a car are two different intentions. Could we ship various foods overseas without the use of some vehicle? This is just stupid nonsense!

    You have no argument. Period.

  • Many devotees misunderstand and thus, misinterpret the term "religion." Religion pertains to obedience to a God and or Goddess.

God does not require your reverence, penitence, or worship altogether; rather,

it is your soul which cannot exist without it.

Conclusively, for a God and or Goddess

is omnipotent and omniscient, and therefore, does not benefit from his or her creatures' reverence.

  • Your assertion appears to be depicting justification. If you are a wiccan then you must adhere to the entire doctrine with no equivocations.

You are either a wiccan or a non-wiccan. You cannot be luke warm. If act contrarily, while the doctrine states that you must not harm yourself then you are not a wiccan.

  • technacly you can be both you can be a wiccan with some christian beliefs and you can be christian with some wiccan beliefs and she has a point not every one follows their doctorine exactly to a t

  • Hello

Religion I think is a form of control using the energy of fear (in my opinion). Your video was not about that, which is to the point that being strict to what you believe is most likely impossible. That means that no one should follow their religion 100% IMO, instead disect that religion and do what feels right for you!

It seems that you enjoy smoking cigarettes, and I was there too. I heck I am a non smoker and love being around smokers for I know 2nd hand is not good, but i love it

  • You'd be surprised at how many born agains there are. There are a LOT of people that follow the bible literally.

  • I havnt seen that many.

  • 40% of Americans don't believe in Evolution.

  • doesnt mean they believe in the God of the bible.

  • about 40-50% of Americans believe in the Rapture.

  • What was the point in going around the question? If someone asked you why you smoke why not just say because I want to or before I became a wiccan I smoked? Nobody asked about every religions code and how people brake them. Just because someone asked you if you're a wiccan why do you smoke, doesn't mean you have to go on this rant about how people in all religions mess up. It seems like you're trying to make and excuse for yourself.

  • to me, religion is just a life guide, i hate to think of it as a set of laws because laws are made to be broken, as krissie has proved in this vid =)

  • Very wise girl

  • good video

  • Jesus Christ alone can wash away every sin anyone has ever committed, be-cause of what He did on the cross. By paying the penalty for our sin, He can release us from the torture of guilt. We cannot do anything in the way of religious works to wash away our sins. Forgiveness is a free gift of God (Ephesians 2:8,9).

  • In all major religions, the followers strive to rid themselves of sin through various practices. They may pray in a prescribed way, do various good works, deny themselves legitimate sexual pleasure, follow dietary restrictions, lie on beds of nails, etc. The uniqueness of Jesus is shown in His statement, "The Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins." No other religious leader has ever made this claim.

  • Religions are man made constructs. They are nothing more than a set of beliefs or views. Religious people are afraid god is like them = JUDGEMENTAL. For anyone who uses the bible as a moral guide is supporting murder, hate, slavery, racism, and other limited scriptures. Look up SKEPTICS ANNOTATED BIBLE if you believe in bible. Bet you can NOT rationally explain your own scriptures, especially old testament or so called foundational structure of ignorance.Propetuated propaganda ! No dogma please

  • sure we can, you just dont like the answers.

  • fishboi87, So, you say you can rationally explain the scriprtues within the old testament. I have been waiting for someone to rationally explain these theological constructs that people with degrees in theology simply can not explain. Please don`t keep me waiting. Look up (skeptics annotated bible) look at old testament cruelty and also explain how the scientific aspects that were disproved wrong are actually right. I will be waiting but i will not hold my breath on it.

  • I totally agree with you. I'm Wiccan and I use paper towels, I drive, and I fight with my paretns.

And TheWriterOfAbsurdity is also right. Like, the Bible says that you can't eat shellfish or wear an outfit made of two different types of material. These rules were written thousands of years ago and people don't necessarily have to follow them today.

    Blessed Be.

    -River

  • whether totally following a religion should be achieved is not a certainty because you very existance in many religions is a sin if you look closely (especially christianity) so there should be more of a compramise if these religions wer 2 me the truth (srry bout the exesive text i no i had a lot 2 say but it is a complicated subject and i do like 2 talk bout it a LOT)

  • however it is VERY difficult because it encourages you to live life to the FULL so laziness isnt exactly smiles upon, but some people could argue that its not a real religion because we dont believe in a god, devil or outwardly even an afterlife, if you confused read up on it.

  • Nearly all religions are impossible to follow 100%, the only religion i csn think of is the one i belong to, levayan satanism because it is a religion that glorifies the human form so it is possible to totally adher to the doctrines,

  • Loved it when you spoke of the high bed and your kitty stretched upward! How do they know?

I don't know the details of wicca, but I've observed that wiccans tend to be non-evangelical in their approach, and "lead' more by example.

Religion aside, I still wish you didn't smoke, you're a lovely woman--take care of yourself!

  • Aha! Yes, you talk a little like drew barrymore.

    probably just my projection.

  • You allways look differnt, cool.

  • As a christian I believe that nobody can be perfect in anything. This is the whole point of Christian teaching. This why forgiveness of sins is needed through belief in Jesus. Every human will sin countlessly throughout their life, but all will be forgiven according to Jesus.

  • To add to your point, as orthodox as you want to be, we still live in the 21st century and most religious doctrines were set down well over 1000 years ago. Judaism for example: the strict dietary laws were made because the Jews were a nomadic people, they could not properly clean pigs and thus if they ate pigs they. Jews cannot eat milk and meat together because scientifically, the milk curdles and can make you sick. They did not have the time to sit and digest food, today we do. Times change.

  • To add to that, those opposed to that view will argue that you do not need to adhere to a Religion in totality in order to be considered apart of that Religion because they will argue there are levels of devout as opposed to "For the Religion" or "Against the Religion", common examples are a Priest, or the Pope. The truth is, there is no perfect answer to this. It's a debatable issue. The same issue resides in law. If you break just one law, can you be considered a criminal by the state?

  • Well, that's still debatable. Can you be considered "Religious" so to speak, if you fail to follow at least one of rules indoctrinated in said Religion. To some yes. To those defending that position, they'll argue that in order to be apart of that Religion, you must remain 100 % true to it, otherwise, you aren't, because there is a part of it that your failing to adhere to.

  • & also the things the Bible says to not do we don't do in order for salvation we don't do them because we are saved :)

  • I ttly agree with u on this issue but for me bieng Christian that's what it's about, knowing we sin and mess up & realizing we need God in order not to do those things & also only Catholics celebrate lent and I'm pretty sure it's not even in the Bible, but once again i do agree that not everyone follows exactly what their religion says but it doens't justify anything if you really believe in something u shouldn't go against it just because others do it 2 God Bless

  • lol luisbravo what sort of a question is that???? dumb comment, question can't literally be answered

  • well, i think it can! don't get me wrong. I don't mean insult or something like that. What i really want to know is the mythology or religion she found those gods she believes in. that's all!

  • i have a question for you, as a wiccan. How do you know the gods you believe in actually exist?

  • we have faith man there is one god others are false religions... how do u know yours exist.? u have faith... same with us...

  • Religion is good, organized Religion is bad. Religion, just like humanity, isn't perfect. It is merely a facet of life which people can use to better themselves, that being said, they can also do other things that they believe will better themselves besides religion. Very thought provoking vlog.

  • Maybe Jesus didn't eat chockolade for fourty days.

    Five stars.

  • You're right. They are more of guidelines than actual rules. lol.

  • Smoking is a not a sin.

Only the rabid anti-smoking lobby and the health elitist crew judge smoking to be immoral.

Gambling, smoking , drinking alcohol, being dependant on legal or illegal drugs are judged as immoral and unethical practices by the bible-punchers and the health elitist zealots.

They really have no right to judge unless, your habits have an adverse affect on them, personally.

People should live and let live.

But it's much easier said, than done.

  • Wow your smart. I've never meet alot of people who understand that all Religions contradict themselves, nice work!

  • nice vid, krissie.

im an atheist [of sorts] but im not a complete "it has got to be fact" person.

im a little more open minded about things like the supernatural etc.

there isnt a religion built for everyone to their exact beliefs.

  • I totally agree, one of my best friend is Jewish and she always eats pepperoni pizza. Great point!

  • Didn't really agree entirely with this video. I mean when I decided to become Wiccan, I knew from the start that I wouldn't believe in everything Wiccans believe in, because one of the things I liked about Wicca was that there was no Holy Book to tell me what to do. So I don't believe in Leprachauns and weird crap like that. But if people like Christians set out with the Bible and preach to others about what not to do, then that makes them a hypocrit and it's not okay.

  • thou shalt not play the playstation 3

  • Lol, you win.

  • As far as I know you do not claim to be a priestess, and so it is unreasonable for folks to attack you for not setting a perfect example IMHO. You should quit smoking, drinkers should quit drinking, everyone should eat organic locally grown food, exercise for an hour or two a day, meditate/pray daily, help those less fortunate than themselves, etc. But we are flawed beings, and our faith is expressed in our striving for, not our attainment of, perfection.

  • Am a muslim and this is a awesome video Krissie. ^_^

Mostly everything was spot on. :-)

  • I dont think you could have picked a better subject to do a vid on. This is spot on. I happen to be a Muslim but not a practising one. I havent been for 7yrs now. I will do a video response soon for this and I will tell you everything in it. But pretty much what you said is spot on. Well done Krissie :) xxx

  • Like I said in my comment, All Religions contradict themselves, they're just as imperfect as the people who falowed them, and those who created them, so there's no point in fighting, we need to face the fact that as Humans, we have flaws and cannot fallow every rule and guideline before us. And by the way, Wiccans believe in karma, if we break a rule, supposedly we are punished for it in the now and then.

  • It's called "Cafetria religion."

You pick and choose what rules and laws that you want to follow.

It doesn't mean that you are a total hypocrite, it just means that you are not a devout or orthadox believer.

  • My religious beliefs are whatever I deem them to be, so it's impossible for me to not follow my own beliefs.

  • I'd like to break it down beyond its complexity and observe the subject, because I love this topic, What exactly, Krissie, is religion to you?

  • I feel the same way that you do...no one fallows every little word of there religion...But I am one who has Ideas an very few belefs.

    ~Lili PoP

  • yah i agree with you and her i was a smoker and im wiccan ^.^

  • Hey Krissie. I used to smoke too, and I am Wiccan. You are right...no one is perfect. So how can they follow their religion perfectly? :-) I totally agree!
