Works flawlessly. It dissolved my aluminum seat post right out of my steel frame. I highly recommend protective goggles and rubber gloves a nose cozy and a well ventilated area. I used 5 ounces of caustic soda (sodium hydroxide) in about 20 ounces of water. After sealing the appropriate holes in the frame I carefully poured enough of the mixture down the seat tube thru the bottom bracket to fill the tube. This was done over the laundry tub to rinse what bubbled over down the drain. 2 hrs total.
WD40/Coca-cola/elbow grease and a damned big vice. You could try heating the seat tube on the frame with a blow torch (may damage paint work) and again stick in a vice using the frame as leverage. There are a few videos on here with various methods.
