I'm keeping you, your magnificent stallion, and others in my prayers. Hang in there! I know the agony of setbacks - I'm having to come to terms with the fact that I don't even have hope of entering a limited distance this year! PS. 21 yrs ago, I boarded at a stable that got hit by strangles. My colt came down with it. It was awful! It seemed to take forever, but he made a complete recovery because I tended to him myself & never gave up! Haven't they've come up with a vaccination now?
They do have a vaccination, though some horses have actually gotten strangles the
day after the vaccination. My husband diligently took care of Shadrach evryday & though because of a prego mare & her foal & we didn't want to take too many risks, so Jim said I shouldn't go down at all, that one person was a risk enough...so since May, August31, when these pictures were taken, was the first day I had been able to touch him. I had driven by in my car, and Jim brought him out.
What a lovely Arabian. Strong. Sure of himself. Full of himself. Proud to be himself. God bless this horse and his caretakers. Give them Karino's courage and strength, his desire and attitude, and bring all who desire a moment of beauty and inspiration in their own lives to his side.
