does anyone know what the logo/symbol in the upper right corner is? maybe it's nothing and just a design for the album, but i suspect there's something more to it.
More or less the most beautiful album I've ever had the honor of experiencing. Highly recommended if you want to have the most heart warming, atmospheric music experience of your life!
i really wanna get some good quality footage of arcturus with their singer from the sham mirrors whos name i cant remember. im just not too fussed on Vortex doing vocals for them now
Garm is the guy - from Ulver and old Borknagar - who sang here.
He did just a few live shows with Arcturus and seems there's not a video register from that =( I was looking for it too, but I didn't have so much luck.. if you find something, please tell me ^^
yea its a shame theres very little fottage of arcturus floating about apart from the Shipwrecked in Oslo dvd, which isnt too bad. just took me a good while to get use to vortex being the frontman
I read an article on Borknagar in metalhammer a while back. dont they play like black metal acousticy stuff o was that either my imagination or just an experiment lol
the last Arcturus album, Origin is totally acoustic. I liked a lot, but isn't like Kveldsjanger from Ulver, you know, the actual Borknagar is very progressive
dont you mean borknagar album? the last arcturus album was mediocre at best, i dont really like vortex's vocals. garm was the man for arcturus, sham mirrors and earlier are all fantastic.
Yep,my mistake, I was talking about Borknagar (I was a little drunk xD).
When I heard for first time Sideshow Symphonies, I didn't liked at all, but when I began to hear it more, It was growin on me.. I like a lot now, but the previous ones are beyond imagination ^^
i agree. i've had to give it a bunch of listens before i started to like it. still garm upstages vortex to an unbelievable level. ulvers latest album is fucking unbelievable.
The only thing I don't still like me is the mixing. I read on an interview to Tore that the guilty was Season of Mist, cause they ask for 2 tapes to Arcturus to release the album : the last mix (with a supposed great sound) and another tape with the pre-mixed album. the last one was the the released :s But the songs still being great for me.
I prefer Garm instead vortex on arcturus: Shipwrecked in Oslo is great but I missed Garm, specially at start (TSM songs) and at Raudt Og Svart.

the last post? nope, hear Shadows of the sun and you'll see how great is Ulver yet.

@Skogfader I likes Shadows of the Sun okay, but it doesn't even compare to "Kveldssanger" or "Nattens Madrigal-Aatte Hymne til Ulven i Manden"
