@swedemcf i gotta say i cant figure this stupid comment out, i must have been real high when i typed it, all the players kinda like him except welnick, wtf is anything welnick adored him like a super hero. i know i do, and i also feel the same way about welnick .. thanks for commenting and standing up for the scene in general, peace.
this is 1977 pal,no-one in the dead is doing acid anymore,Jerry is wired on heroin and evryone else in the band are just occasional users of coke, booze ,and weed!!

Bobby should have left the Pig Pen tunes alone!! I'm sorry, but Weir was,and still is,the least talented of all the members. Now he's butchering Jerry tunes way worse than he ever did with the Pig Pen numbers! Sorry to all the Bobby fans out there, but it's very hard for me watch him try to destroy the foundation of Grateful Dead culture. The free trade of their live shows. This may be beating a dead horse but when he stopped downloads of SBD's I lost all respect for Weir.Anyway, I love this band!!!
Have you ever listened- really listened to the man play the guitar?? sure he does it his own way but hes a grate musician and the band wouldnt be nearly the same without him
i've always noticed jerry lookin over at weir, as if he was crazy and funny, you know that roll your eyes look.....i think jerry thought it was funny ya know all that just like a friend of mine used to say u gotta have good lovin everyday....turn on your light....u may be weak or blind, but a blind man knows when the sun shines cause he feels it.....I think the jerry facial expression that is the best is the tour that supported the record 'reckoning' maybe radio city music hall 1981-1982(?)
I love the Dead's version of Good Lovin', whether it's Bobby or Pigpen singing. I loved the Bertha -> Good Lovin' pairing cuz thats when the song Good Lovin' was at it's best along with the "phil lead bass intro".
The first time I heard the Grateful Dead it was this album, Shakedown Street. I listened to this track 25 times in a row - with headphones....the rest is history
..as you may know; the late great -Lowell George produced Shakedown Street. There's also out a version with Lowell on vocal - that's when the tune really shines!!

Bro, Vince adored the ground Jerry walked on, which is probably the reason he took his own life after Jerry passed, he loved Jerry

What the hell? Bob's playing contains some of the most complex voicings in rhythm guitar.

Funny. Watching them tune their instruments. Are they DELIBERTALY mistuning them?

@UZworm They were also known as the Young Rascals. Therefore, a result including "The Young Rascals" will likely yield the result you're looking for.

Great song, Weir is still a poor lead V substitute for Pig on that tune though.
