Sucks...Bon Jovi would have recorded this song and would have been top 10 worldwide.Too much great canadian talent that didnt make it over the border.
Last Nights Show at Boston Manor in Burlington was FN Great. What a ride back in time...This Original line up together once again was Fargin Amazing..!!!!!!!
no it's in the key of A, my friend was a pretty great lead guitarist, I had to help some times, no B minor I think - that sort of thing what fun - we knew most Streetheart sings, Metallica, lots of Iron Maiden and Scorpions, I think I remember every Judas Priest song, suddendly anoth Canadian band, Monkey bars, What? and First t Time For Everything, an excellent ballad, no shit, wow, "But I'm no boy, I a man! and i hope you understand" etc
I just wanted to add, while I can see the point with some posters statements that this band was "Underrated" it`s really not true. They were a top notch band with an A-1 lead singer&musicians. They opened up for some major acts but should have been large venue headliners themselves. Although the critics raved about them they just never broke to the very top to achieve the commercial&financial success they deserved. But true fans know how amazing they were! Never underrated-greatly appreciated!
Great Mother F*cking Band! Had 3 albums. Came out out of Canada. I saw them play at some rock clubs back in New England during their tour in the early 80`s. So many great bands like them hungry for success right before Quiet Riot broke out in 83 with the first #1 rock/metal hit 'Cum On Feel the Noize". You can tell it`s dated from the lead singer`s tough FY look at 20 seconds into the video&he`s wearing a leather jacket/open muscle T but 10 secs. later he`s got a thin white tie on. Classic!
Are there gay connotations in this video?? Like the jail scene and then the look o Carl's face when he exits the prison area? Just asking, that with the name of the song itself...just curious
Coney Hatch should have been mega big in the rock era of the 80s....it makes no sense...the talent that they had...C Hatch should have tread in the footsteps of April Wine....Canada Rockers.....C Hatch had more than the talent of most of the 80s hair metal bands of the time.....It is sad....Coney Hatch Rocks Big Time....
I stand corrected David, The rock gods have brought the boys together for now, they will be playing in CAMBRIDGE,ONtario on September 11, google Cambrige fall fair for further Info.
Saw these guys warm up irom maiden on the piece of mind tour in poughkeepsie, NY in 1983. I went an bought there tape after that. No cd's then. They should have been bigger considering all the lame LA glam girl shit that came a few years later.
You know, we have some amazing talent in Canada and this is an example, sadly though, the record companies don't seem to promote there acts well at all, this band could have been huge. Every day I wish that Coney Hatch would reunite once in a while just for the fans and put on a show. As someone who did see Coney Hatch many times I can tell you we are missing a good show, all I have is memories. Come on rock gods do your thing.
Andy Curran, the bass player also sang lead on some of the band's songs. Andy also released a solo album that rocked, but was largely ignored by the mainstream. If anyone has the video for "No Tattoos" please post.
Uh, scuse me fella. But uh, ever hear of Eddie VAN Halen? Maybe Alex VAN Halen. Hey, how about Wolfie VAN Halen?
Good God. How can anyone with even the tinest interest in rock music not know that VAN HALEN is the name of one of the greatest guitar players and drummers of all time.
Jeese, even little old women who watch ONE DAY AT A TIME know that VAN HALEN was the nice boy who married Valerie!
Hangest thou head in shame and go listen to John Meyer or Josh Gorbin!
@robbatkinson666 How about you brush up on your reading comprehension skills, dumbass?! When Eddie Van Halen was a nobody guitar player doing clubs with Mammoth in the early 70's there were people that thought his name was Van Halen, as in Van Morrison, as in Van being his first name and Halen his last name, as in, "Hey, Van, do you want another drink?" - Straight from the horse's mouth - from Eddie to ME! Ya get it now?!
I loved these guys. I had a couple of their albums. I remember there were so many bands popping up around this time...It's no surprise many got lost in the shuffle.
great band - saw them open for , gosh who was that , maiden ? unsure , well anyways was very cool , was in the front row , got to strum lead guitarest guitar -- great sound - this song is awesome
Still one of my fav bands ever, I know all these guys in the band and they are all so cool and down to earth, that being said i am still a huge fan first!
I was fortunate to see these guys back in 83' in Pittsburgh with Fastway and Iron Maiden.Awesome band that didn't get enough attention back in the day.
Aother great Canadian band that got overshaddowed by the likes of Guns & Roses & other hair bands of the 80's. Check out the album "Friction" if you can find it.
Coney Hatch is one of these great canadian rock bands ...
I was lucky to see Carl Dixon solo in Augsburg many years ago!

Just like there is no one named Van in Van Halen there also was no Coney in Coney Hatch.
The singer's name is Carl Dixon and he went on to do solo work as well as play with The Guess who.
