  • Esecuse me. I know a little about this things but here was nothing explained from the Title.

If somebody gives a title like: "Collodion photography explained " i think it will go about the WET PLATE COLLODION technique what you explained like your favourite.

I need to tell. I worked on these kind of machines and love them, but this video is not about those or the title is wrong.

    Thanks

  • Cool cameras

    Nothing explained though..

  • has nothing to do with the title. he said nothing about collodion. the only what was in this movie is the guy vaunting how many cameras he has. pathetic.

  • Fascinating! I would love to see that equipment in person.

  • Thanks!

  • My next workshop is October 9-10, 2010, in Corona, CA. 40 miles east of LA. The collodion process is taught fully, unlike this video. The costs are $350, including lab fees and lunches. Google my name and go to my web site for more info. w w w

  • This video was made by a student of mine and not by myself. The title is incorrect. I cannot change it yet, but will try. Please forgive the camera whore aspects of this video. I was asked to talk about this equipment and this is what you see. It was posted by this friend student- and so be it

  • @dunniway Thank you for the clarification... I guess I was just a little thrown by the title and then something else came along my screen, and I guess my comment was a little harsh, so I removed it. But I must say, I'd still buy a car from you... Have a good day. :-)

  • So what did you explain here? Just change the title ok.

  • @VALMARIESASK

See my posted comments. Sorry for the short explanation. The title is incorrect.I am working on it.

  • hey. how much do you charge for a workshop? or for a photograph?

  • how about an explanation of how to shoot the collodion?

  • @gilesclement

Another video maybe. See my posted comments. The title is incorrect.I am working on it.

  • @CafeHarrar Not always glass (ambrotype), usually metal plates (ferrotype).

  • blah blah blah. seems more like someone going on about how fantastic their setup is and less like an explanation.

  • @runkasnorkrakable

See my posted comments. Sorry for the short explanation, and the camera whore pitch. The title is incorrect.I am working on it.

  • the title of this should be "collodion photography explained" it should be some jackass carrying on about his view cameras! stupid video! change the title man there is not explanation of anything here!!!

  • @lloplop See my posted comments. Sorry for the short non-explanation, and the camera whore pitch. The title is incorrect.I am working on it. Yes I can be a jack ass.

  • I wished you talked more about the process instead how cool your cameras are.

  • @mejiasjoseluis Another video maybe. See my posted comments. The title is incorrect.I am working on it.

  • Absolutely fascinating! Well, I can see my next hobby..................but 1st to find a camera.

  • It was very hard to see the cameras with such a bright background.

No mention of who the original users were.

    Lost to time perhaps.

The history of a camera often gets lost from auction to collector.

  • thats really sad. I was considering moving to paris too. What about mail?

  • I love traditional photography. Digital just can't duplicate it. I also do digital for Candids (not all candids), but never gave up on film. Never tried wet plate collodion, which is amazing. I do not have the equipment for this kind of photography (I wish I did).

  • that is amazing!! large format is just awesome!!!

  • nice !

  • Fantastic. kind of film? Ilford?

  • He's not using film. It's wet plate collodian. He coats them himself.

  • Thanks. Could you show the actual process too ?

  • @drdoka See my posted comments. Sorry for the short explaination. The title is incorrect
