Great tune...twisted video! Love it. Anyone know where I can get the "Waiting for Mary" video they used to show on 120 Minutes? "Welcome to Mars! It's open all hours! (What are we doing here?)" It took place in a diner (called Mars). Pere Ubu sitting at a table in the diner...

I dunno, the Ubu diehards always seem to have mixed feelings about this album, and this song in particular. But I absolutely love it. Ubu were made to do, for lack of a better term, "twisted pop." How can you not listen to Ravenstein's "controlled chaos" of synthesizers rambling through this entire song and not think, "damn, I wish everything sounded this demented on the radio."

@stevel738 i have no problem with "Cloudland" as it was the first full lengh album I got. previously I just had the first five songs on a promo disc bought for "Waiting For Mary".
This was an old song for them, it has Peter Laughner's name as one of the writers, if memory serves.
