  • Wow, thanks so much man this video was super helpful, much appreciated.

  • No problem. Glad it helped

  • where do you get the samples

  • The samples are just songs. You can turn any song into a sample. Any old songs or classical songs that i have on my computer, i takes portions from them and manipulate them

  • but can i put at any tempo i want or what

  • Yes you can.

Click on the sample and the channel settings for the sound will pop up.

You'll see "Time Strectching" towards the bottem with a drop box that sais Resample. Click the drop box and click Auto.

Then when you mess with the knob in the middle that sais "MUL," it will change the tempo but keep the pitch.

If that doesn't work let me know because i have other ways

  • o damng thats alot man i apreciate it

  • no prob

  • hell yeah man thanks alot

  • no prob

  • yo how do i get rid of the error 157 shit every time i try to export a wav file?

  • Where do you get your samples from? Can you only import MIDI files, or is there a way to get other file types into fl studio?

    thanks

  • yeah it makes the squeeky noise its cuz its really short but how do i find the exact time to change it to or the proper way to change this

  • Much Props Dude. I Just Bought FL Studios And You Helped Alot Dude.

  • yo man when i import it.. nd its looks all good but when i try to play it it plays this annoying ass squeaky sound.. whatss the deal?

  • Good tutorial i always use the fruity slicer and edison but ima try this.. Thanks!

  • thanks man help full and ezer than any other ways ty

  • I have FL Studio 4 (old, I know) and I can't figure out how to add vocal tracks to the mix. I have a vocal sample I want to use that's several measures long. However, I can't figure out how to insert it. I tried dragging it into the bottom portion of the playlist, and it says I need the Producers' Edition to do that... do I really have to pay another $60 just to add a vocal track? Is there some other way to utilize longer samples?

  • Hey, it's been awhile since i've used FL 4 but as far as i remember, you can't do vocals with that version the way you are trying to. You can ask around though because there nay be a way around it.

  • Okay, thanks for the info (and the quick reply)! :)

  • i was wondering what hotkey ur usin u said ur using midi and holding a key (is that just to play it?) when i load my sample it wont play unless i actually add it to the pianoroll, and im trying to figure out how to crop the sample so it doesnt loop over itself. the wav is longer than one measure but i only want the part in the first 4 beats

  • Thanks for responding. The sample doesn't loop on top of each other anymore...but the problem I have now is with playing the entire sample. It loops fine, but it only plays the first part of the sample...

  • thanks mate im a dnb ducer and was very fluent on reason but this muffled me on fruity wen i got it today, cheers for the vid, very helpful

  • How do you play the sample without it looping on top of each other? I just want to play the sample and add drums but whenever I click one of the little blocks and press play, the song plays over and over and gets really loud.... Please help!

  • Look at my answer to 50CentsWife4Life. By doing that, the sample will cut off and reset whenever the song loops.

Let me know if you get it to work or if you need further assistance.

    Good luck!

  • yo how you filter out certain intstruments, using fruityloops

  • huh?

  • Aye, I heard 'em in the video say somethin' about how to control the length of a/the sample. I couldn't clearly exactly hear the instructions that he said about how to do that. Could somebody tell me how to do that??

  • When you click the sample and the "Channel Settings" menu pops up, Click INS (you should see SMP, INS, MISC, FUNC towards the top of the box). When you click INS, you should see a box under the INS box that sais VOL (make sure you click on VOL).

You should see a graph under VOL with a red line. To make the sample start on point instead of fading in, click on the ATT knob and drag it to the left. To make the sample hold for as long as you want, click HOLD and drag it to the right.

  • And to make it stop on point, click REL and drag it the the left.

Let me know if you get it to work

  • I tried the advice that you gave me, and it seemed like it worked ok. Now, I was wondering about tthat what if I wanted just a certain part out of a song, how could I take that certain part out of that song?? You know what I mean. I was tryna use certain vocals/parts from anotha song to put in my own created song.

  • Fruity Slicer. Look up a Fruity Slicer tutorial and it will make since

  • Too late mayne.Lol. I already done found out how to do it by myself.

  • damn mii dude dass watz poppin..shiitz fiire nikka!

  • Not really, but I try.
