that 20 drope he was saying it was bad but he manage to get a camera at the bottom and clime back up to throw his stick down and then clime back down lol holy shit he puts alote of work in to filming simple things 4:57

This show ain't that great. I think Man vs Wild is much better. Bear actually show you surviving technique and plant and stuff to used, such as starting fire, they usually make most use of their time. This show look like it showing a averaging person who lost in the wood, more like trying to endure the harsh evironment, than surviving. Who care if he just him by himself, I mean this show teaching you how to survive, but all it show is just a guy holding a camera and finding some berries.
I've spent many, many days (months when totalled) in Canadian mountain backcountry hiking. I basically do it every year. With all utmost respect for Les, this show and his skills, me and my peers jokingly refer to him as;
"Starvingman"
...because essentially that's what the poor guy does. One of the things he can't really convey in this episode or the Alaskan one is that the #1 thing is keeping a positive outlook against all the pain and exhaustion and the hunger.
@ultimatenick37 ,...so ya know ... Les is real , he makes his living as a survival racer,.. he test survival equipment for outdoor companies also.... he is as Cody Lundin from dual survival both of those guys are as tough as nails....
He should just carry a handheld camera, I wouldn't mind the shots just with him carrying it around, I feel bad knowing he has to climb all the way back up or walk like 300 metres to go back and grab a camera. :(
@legoliker7517 GoPros are crap for this type of filming. They have no monitor to see if you're filming yourself or not. Could be missing very important footage. They're not that great anyway.
@darkserenit You can see earlier in the episode he has a remote control for the camera. I'm assuming it zooms and pans at the press of a button. Also, that is les you are seeing walking.
@Dafidd It is indeed a broken tree stomp. Watcjhing episode in HD, you can see the broken part of the inside wood witch is lighter then the rest of it.
I knew Les wouldn`t mess around or lie. He`s just too good for that ^^
@7Supernova7 If you watched the first part, one of his cameras has some kind of rod or tripod attached to it; he adjusts the camera so it looks up at him.
@7Supernova7 You can definitely tell it's a tree stump. Part of it is broken off, and you can see the lighter part that wasn't broken off on the side.
@7Supernova7 That is actually a very tall stump of a tree that broke off about 6 foot up. It's got a jagged top, I did a frame by frame examination. At about 3:44 you can get a better view that it is a tree trunk about 2 foot diameter. Yeah though when you first glance at it, it does look kind of like a person standing oddly.
There are times when I wish that Les would go into slightly more detail about the wild edibles that he eats like the paintbrush plant and huckleberries.
@Ggreenvideos you can buy an external screen, and it has A/V output so you can use another one.
