  • Is it possible to keep these fish with shrimps? like Amano and Cherry shrimps?

  • hi what cobbles did you use?

  • how is ur water so clear

  • What an amazing biotope!!!

i can't help but wonder, how do these fish do without plants? I've been reading that they love a thoroughly planted tank and this tank has none. Do they really need plants or are they happy without them? Because I wanted to use no real plants or maybe a few fake ones, and rocks. And i can't find a single article mentioning fake plants or no plants. thanks!

  • @mafipereira yield gras huntd thger blink to port in basic virtual

  • Looks amazing one of my favourites Out of all of your videos, However where do you get the glass pipework? I have never seen or even heard of this however it is very effective

  • needs sunfish

  • what camera did you use?? love the vid!

  • do want this!

  • Simple but yet beautiful or would it be simply beautiful! LoL, Well done mate, brilliant aquascaping. A hello from the rock of Gibraltar.

    Keith

  • This tank needs a big retard goldfish with scoliosis wobbling around in there

  • @ToadsMGodes

    LOL. Agreed.

  • @ToadsMGodes I LOLeed

  • @ToadsMGodes LMAO!

  • i like the hardscape, but maybe some floating plants if not stemmed. WhiteClouds are great but prettiest up close.

  • ...less is more ! super !

  • Love this! I'm looking to design and built my first aquarium. The planted ones look great, but surely there's more maintenance. Is yours here pretty low maintenance?

  • Inspiring! Looks so cool...... I want to do my own now. Thanks for sharing.

  • so beautiful! nice job! :)

  • is this cold water fish (minnow)

  • What fileter do you use? Is this fish good for that lesspalnt decoration? I red that this fish likes plants, maybe it's not true. Is this opti white or float? Greetings from Poland.

  • Do White Clouds prefer this type of plantless set up? i've never seen a white cloud Biotype before. It looks so crisp and clean without plants, and i agree with Ona, the choice of rocks couldn't be better.

  • That's a simple but cool tank

  • wow, simple but perfect. I wanna copy this set up one day. Liking is over rated so... 5*

  • great looking tank but dreadful music!!!

  • Last comment continued - 8? Sorry, but 20 Gallons is 90 litres, you'll be able to get about 14 of them in there no problem. Just make sure you don't introduce any snails to the Aquarium, and if for some god-forsaken reason that they do spawn, Just phone your local fish-store after you've raised the babies for a couple of months and see if they would like to take them off your hands, most of the times, they'll say yes.

Also, Minnows are schooling fish, it's recommended that you have at least 8.

  • @UroborosTheSnake Oh, ok im sorry i was mistaken. @shishila listen to him/her not me lol

  • @UroborosTheSnake ive got 6 danios and 1 minnow, my tank is not big enough for any more so i cant get it a mate, are the danios okay for company? also, what is the smallest tank i could get that is cheap for just 4 minnows?

  • @littlelauren971 get a £30 plastic tank for the four minnows most pet shops do ones that are around 15 litres, that would be ok for them( the larger the better obviously.)

  • @MrThereisnogo i havent got the money and my mum wont let me get a larger tank, but im trying to persuade her to let me buy a cube £30 glass tank. hopefully it will work

  • It's a really beautiful tank.

Fuzz, in 95% of the cases, Mountain Minnows don't spawn without some sort of friendly push. It can be in the form of a spawning net, scheduled water-temporary temperature changes and naturally-underwater or water-surface plants that thrive in their environment. Along with this, while Minnows don't normally eat their young, it's common practice to give the baby fish lots of places they can hide in. The Adult fish are happier with lots of places to hide in too!

  • nice tank

  • That's a beautiful tank.

  • how are these fish doing so far? are they still all living?

I am thinking about getting them in the near future, not sure how easy they are to feed, I heard they are really easy to feed rite?

I guess a 20 gallon tank can fit about 8?

  • @shishila A 20 gallon tank can fit about 8, but these fish are no stangers to spawning. What will you do with the babies if they happen to have them?

  • gorgeous tank

  • Clarity. Art. Life. I applaud this tank.

  • how bug is your tank its complete perfection!

  • In Cantonese is 白雲山魚

    白: white

    雲: cloud

    山: mountain

魚: fish or minnow in this species

  • hey! I see live food in there .. what is it if I may ask?

  • this is such a nice tank, i liked it enough to put them sort of rocks in my tank :)

  • 3 people use WCMM as bait.

  • Rocks are perfect, the different sizes and layers of the pebbles, sand, and rocks looks really typical of a fast flowing stream.

What's the name of the song? It rocks!

  • what kind of filter, light, background and rock is that?

  • what filter you have in this tank?

  • wow buddy. this is fucking amazing. i cant believe how good it looks without plants. excellent rock work.

  • A very simple set-up, but it does work, from a visual aspect, at least.

  • what is a biotop aquarium?

  • @zerounite It's a specialized tank set up for a specific kinda fish in a certain part of the world.

  • epic. not a plant in sight and still epic.

  • it's awesome 8-)

  • what did it cost you=?

  • that's an amazing play sand color, does anyone know the brand?

  • maybe do fishes feel themself boring in this tank without any plants?..

  • beautiful tank decor!

  • good looking setup you got there! how do you maintain it?

  • This tank is so simple and beautiful. Excellent effort.

  • Fantastic tank you have there. I have a couple of wcmm together with mollies, a platty, guppy and corydoras. Watching this group of minnows with a tank all to themselves is brilliant though! :)

  • 実に切ないくて美しい映像でござるな。

  • @masakifukumoto so true

  • were did u get those fish? nice setup aswell.

  • l could stare at this set-up all day long. Something so simple looking yet so beautiful.

  • how much were the fish?

  • great tank i love wcmm i dont have any i have have zebra danios

  • perfection

  • best tank ever

  • Great choice of rocks...it's a great looking setup!

  • whats that clear thing on the left top side? ohh and beautiful tank even though theres no plants ><

  • What is the music?

  • were did u get the rocks i have 3 white clouds and no rocks i heard they like it a lot

  • @littleJenna25 You should get a few more, they don't feel safe in such small numbers because they are prey fish, you should have 5-6.

  • Waw mate your aquarium looks fantastic. And I suppose this would be a natural setting for the white clouds as they are mountain fish. Their colours match well with the great rocks. This is the scene I want to go for. Did you buy the materials or find them yourself? Sand rocks etc

  • Awesome!

  • I can;t get over this nice tank. WELL DONE!!!

  • very nice !!!

  • nice bio

  • nice, I imagine their natural habitat is something like this. I have a 10 gallon with Minnows, Ghost Shrimp and Trumpet snails. I have some plants in mine and would like more as I read they don't like strong light.

  • Comment removed

  • This is a very nice set up the water is so clean and clear

  • Does anyone know if it's ok to put mountain minnows in with ordinary goldfish? I know they'd survive the temperature but are they too small?

  • @emjay820 It depends on the size of the goldfish and the minnows

  • @196musicmistro The goldfish are small fan-tails, only a couple of inches long at most.

  • @emjay820 thats fine, i have 24 minnows, 2 goldfish, 2 flying fox loachs and an apple sanil. They should not get eaten, try to have a good flow of water in your tank as they love this. How big is your tank?

  • @196musicmistro It's about 30 inches wide, 24 inches high and 18 inches deep.

  • @emjay820 yes that would be fine. dont just, buy the fish you shoud look around for the best type there are mant i love the golden minnows. but its upto you.

  • Superb aquarium! But don't you have problem with moss ?

  • very good video quality

  • Can anybody please tell me what type of rocks those are?

  • Im planning to keep minnows as a feeder fish for my turtle. But the first time i kept it,it died.Yes,i use an air pump ... Most of the minnow that i kept it started to go down to the bottom of the tank and stay there and suddenly drop to the side and die.My friend said that when i bought it,some of the fish in the plastic bag have been there for a long time because it have also happened to him.Im not really believe it...Maybe the Air Pump is spoiled or others.....Any Advise??? Please!!!!

  • im tottaly making this how much did it cost u total?

  • I took a geography class in college last semester and we were learning how blood stone is actually poisonous due to the fact that it contains mercury, I believe. And in this video I see you have blood stone and it seems to be safe in your aquarium. Now I am wondering if my professor was lying to us students?....hmmm...

  • @ihavenocredits u sure those are bloodstones?

  • @ihavenocredits i dont see how mineralogy is relevant in a geography class....

  • @bananatree94 have you ever taken geography? and I am not talking about in elementary of high school. when you take geography who learn about the earth hence the word geo in the name geography. its not just about locating countries on a map. why don't you try taking a course. you may learn something. no offense or anything. I am not here to fight I am here to, if anything, teach someone something.

  • @ihavenocredits correction you learn

  • @ihavenocredits ANDDD if you really took this geography class then you would know that bloodstone doesn't even come from england! loser

  • @bananatree94 never seen any bloodstones in England but the stones in the video you get here

  • @95jjs the stones in this tank are not bloodstone.

  • @ihavenocredits umm you dont have to snap at me.... i just figured that if you wanted to learn about stones you would take a geology class. you also don't have to be a dick and go assume that i am uneducated. and it looks to me like you are only here to bash this mans tank and be a cock. the owner of this tank knows more about this stuff than you so shut up. BTW idiot that isnt even blood stone. oh but don't worry i'm not here to fight.... ass.

  • can i have som?

  • your fishtank rocks were they eating babies =( sad!

  • They will eat their young, so keep the parents well fed and plenty of plants for the fry to hide in. Check out my video and you will see how thick I keep the floating plants for them.

  • Nice how did you get the water to stay so clear??

  • @OrisueCrew dont over feed and have a good sponge filter with airator

  • amazing!

  • awesome tank..love it!

  • Beautiful tank! What kind of lights are you using? they're perfect

  • Nice, this has inspired me. I'm actually off out to buy some WCWW for my recent setup!

  • @HariKalay what is a biotope

  • very inviting fishtank. if i could fit in there may i have a snorkel?

  • Very nice! almost looks zen like, what kind of sand is that? Ive been looking for a brownish sand but all i can find is silica sand

  • that set up's mint could sit here for hours watchin it

  • I love these fish. Your tank is beautiful in its simplicity. Excellent work, there.

  • Well done!

  • So beautiful. Kind of makes me feel peaceful looking at it.

  • how much was the total cost for the set up?

  • wow amazing the rocks didnt crack the glass

  • That water looks good to drink for some how lol

  • i love this tank!! what kind of external filter are you using and is the glass pipework able to be bought or is it custom? would really like to do a similar tank.

  • are these related to zebra danios

  • @sintist410

Yes, white cloud minnows are related to zebra danios. They are both Cyprinids. However, white clould minnows prefer colder water.

  • @buddhasknowbest Sorry to ask but you sound a bit of an expert' I'll look more into it tomorrow. But one of my three minnows is getting bigger in the belly. I wonder if it is pregnant or ill. Any idea? Thanks in advance

  • @bobdigi88

It could be pregnant but I really cannot say. When they are pregnant, they get a long white belly underneath them. They give birth to eggs and not live baby fish. So, they are less likely to eat their young. If you have other kinds of fish in the tank, then the eggs would be at risk. I would recommend taking a picture of the fish and posting it on a discussion forum dedicated to pet fish. You will get a lot of responses and the best possible answer that way. Cheers.

  • @buddhasknowbest Thanks a lot for taking time to reply. And yes i have 5 goldfish with them so i'll figure out what to do. Thanks again.

  • great tank, what song is playing its great too ??

  • wow beautiful tank

  • that is the best tank ive ever seen in my life

    looks sooooooooooooo latural

  • man. do you travel to the natural springs for your water. That water looks awesome. What is your secret?

  • wow that has to be the clearest water i have ever seen

  • wow, that looks fantastic! I love simple, yet intriguing biotopes!

  • AWESOME TANK!!!

Where do White Mountain Minnows live?

The habitat you have created looks amazing just like the Rocky and Appalachian Mts.

    Do they live their?

    Again, absolutely amazing!!!

  • Comment removed

  • White cloud minnows originate from the rocky streams of White Cloud Mountain, which is located in SE China. Their habitat is very similar to the mountain streams of the Appalachians and the Rockies. Hope that helped.

  • ThAnks! I added this to my biotope playlist.

  • Very nice tank, clear water and very nice job with the rocks, cheap and simple and one of my favourites too :) good work.
