@foreverbored2009 It's pretty random, but I interpret it as Harima is being caught in a bad situation (a stampede and eruptions in particular are looked at as a violent, uncontrollable, intense and unpredictable force). It's supposed to accentuate and bring a comedic - almost tangible sense to how he feels when eating their food. lol. I am a huge fan of this anime, and rarely have I laughed so hard at any one scene than in this one. Also when Imadori gets his arm broken, that had me in tears too
