At first we all think hes this Evil guy, but really it's just that we never saw hes side of the Story.
Big Boss was not the Bad Guy... Sure not all he did was what you would call Good. i wonder where the MGS series will go from now on? Now that the Story of Big Boss is at a end... Solid Snake is done. most likly Dead like Big Boss. Where will the Story go? Who will be the new Main Character? What Metal Gear will it be? Whos the enemy? can't wayt!
@andvas1994 well this is the 25th anniversary of MG. Kojima said he has something big planned. Im hoping for a remake of 1 or the story of what happened between 2 and 4
@FallDxvdbl Well, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is releasing... but that's not hes game. And also it's nothing to big when they allredy sayd it was kind of rushed.
Also at the time Kojima is working on a game which they call ''Project Ogre'' as a working tittle. What the name will be we don't know. but Kojima sayd it was a new IP, not a sequel/Prequel ore remake. But he has promised to make MGS5, but that will not be coming this year.
@andvas1994 I dont expect it this year either, all i know is he said he has something big planned, im currently playing through MGS HD collection and loving every min, Kojima is a legend, i hope for a new MGS either next year or the year after
@FallDxvdbl Well, Kojima is a quality man... and Since hes still working on Project Ogre that has not yet been anounced... we don't even know if it's coming this year.
Don't expect a MGS for atleast 3 more years. Kojima don't rush hes games. If he was to release MGS5 next year he would have to rush the game. i would much rather wayt 5 years and get the Best MGS ever (best game ever) then to get it next year and get a unfinished rushed Project that don't make snece.
@andvas1994 I agree, MGS is the best gaming series ever made without a doubt, i played the first MGs when i was only 4 xD , ever since then its been my favourite game, im just wondering what his "big plan" is, maybe HD collection was funding for the new MGS, only time will tell
@FallDxvdbl I used to play MGS1 whit my big brother, i was like 4 ore 5 i think.
I was allways so fasinated of the Story, the Characters, the Boss fight's.
I did not understand what they sayd. But my Brother explained to mewhat was going on. Grew up whit this seres. The HD Collection is KONAMI's doing BTW. But i wonder what this big thing is... when did you hear about this?
@JmanBan3 Revengeance, don't think so. Revengeance is as if Raidens back story did not matter, as if the Last 50 houers of MGS4 never happend. It ignors who Raiden is, and also it's made by Platinum games. not Kojima. It was put togheter as a rush rush project so what they had made for the failed Rising game would not be a waste. they kind of sayd that themselves. Ore Kojima did...
i love it! time and mgs its just perfect really sums the story between snake and boss one of the best tributes its the best for the music but really great job man. :)
Movie director out there, if ya wanna make this into live action movie, you better damn make it an awesome one, not like the other live action movie base on game
this is such a good AMV, usally amv made about the MGS franchise are terrible, not because the music doesn't fit but because MGS is so deep that they cant do it justice, but yours was fantastic.
Bro, this is an amazing tribute! This is my favorite of your videos, and you should really consider re-making this with clips from the HD Collection! :)
I love Mgs n i have pw for psp but my psp is broken n i want to play again buying a psp but people been saying that most of all mgs r coming out for ps vita im not sure of it so should i buy psp or ps vita what do please help!!!!
I've just started playing MGS 4 again. After finishing it just yesterday. It's so good. I'm getting the 3DS version of Snake Eater and the Vita version of the MGS Collection. I'd love to play every single Metal Gear and Solid game there is, but it's so hard to get them.
@MyComicStyle Seeing as your playing mgs4 I can assume you have a ps3, in which case it will soon be remarkably simple. So you can buy mgs4 and mgs1 from the psn store. Get the hd collection and you'll have mg, mg 2,mgs3, mgs3 ad peace walker in which case you can get portable ops of the psn store onto your ps vita. :)
@ilikedasimpsons You're right. Damn, how stupid do I have to be to forget that you can buy MGS 1 of the PlayStation Store? I totally will get all those games and play them in order. MGS 3, MGS Portable Ops, MGS Peace Walker, MGS 1, MGS 2 and finally MGS 4. So, got any solution for Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, hehe?
Holy crap! Wow, this tribute was AWESOME. I love you pulled clips from Snake Eater, Portable Ops, Peacewalker, and MGS4, not just from one game. This truly ranks up there with the great ones. Good job!
metal gear solid was my first game with a really really big store line to it and by watching this I had chills everywhere, I do not know why but the story of Boss and Snake just really hits the heart. It pains me to see the next metal gear solid isn't what it used to be.
@stinkyCHEESEman5000 Oh my God, Clint would be perfect. Maybe as Big Boss. How about Brian Cox as Campbell, Matthew Gray Gubler as Otacon, Zac Efron as Raiden, Elizabeth Mitchell or Helen Mirren as The Boss, and Carey Mulligan as E.E. That's all I can think of now.
@Skeletonpack He was Malfoy, yes. Now about Ocelot. The only actor I can even remotely think of is Richard Dreyfuss, but he might be too old for such a part.
liked and favorited,,,,not much thing remind me of my childhood...i still remember to this day plaything this game while sitting on the carpet floor...the epicness, music and memories just bring chills down my spawn
It would've been cool if you ended the vid with the part in MGS4 when Big Boss realizes what the Boss meant all along and talks about not changing the world but leaving it be, to show his story coming full circle just before dying.
this video is amazing really fantastic i love MGS and i think Big Boss is much better than Solid Snake...i don't like Solid Snake because he's so unnatural and he fight not like a human but like a clone...sorry for the english but i'm italian but this video is simply beautiful
@NickIsTheMan15 I don't know about being the master but thanks Lol. I'm glad you found some re-watch value in this video and enjoy it. Thanks for your comment dude.
GREAT GREAT job. I personally prefer Naked Snake to Solid Snake. In the early MGS games Big Boss is portrait as a bad guy but if you play MG3, portable ops and SPECIALLY Peace Walker, you'll understand more about his choices
The only (and I mean only) problem with the video is Big Boss's little speech from MPO at the beginning. this piece of dialogue is totally contradicted in Peace Walker, where Big Boss still doesnt understand the actions of The Boss in MGS3. He eventually concludes at the end that by dying for her country she betrayed him and everything she stood for, leading to him accepting the title of Big Boss and transforming into the Big Boss of MG1/2
@cocaineuk87 I guess you could interpret the video as Big Boss going through changes. The video begins with him saying one thing and saying something completely different at the end. Thanks for the interesting comment.
AWESOME tribute, music was perfect, really fitted Big Boss journey - one of sadness, pain and heartbreak from beginning to end. The death of The Boss is the most important event in his life so I'm glad there was a big emphasis on that. My only criticism, and its a small one, is that I think it should have had some of Big Boss's epic, haunting speech he gives to his men at the end of Peace Walker , this was the moment when Naked Snake fully transformed into Big Boss from the MSX games.
@TheTremo99 I'm not quite sure. It's from a cut scene in Portable Ops. It's the scene where Snake captures the first soldier and gives him this speech.
@SRB3445 Because, Big Boss is full of epicness. If Kojima were to make more games about Big Boss, people would turn their religion and worship these series as if they were the true testaments.
@chongxiong Agreed. Big Boss is an amazing character, his image evokes pure awesomeness and to boot he is arguably Kojima's most tragic, complex and conflicted creation. Its clear Kojima feels the same way because of the work he's put into developing Big Boss since MGS3 - the fans werent screaming for Big Boss games or anything (although I was since MGS1), but Kojima wanted to develop him. In terms of telling a good story, the potential is almost limitless with Big Boss because hes so complex
this just goes together so perfectly its the best big boss tribute ever! sweet love it love snake it also somes up the relationship betwieen snake and boss this is so grate nice job! :)
this is gorgeous. metal gear solid is not only my favourite video game series, but also one of my favourite series in any media so it's great to see such inspirational videos from you. i hope you continue to make them for as long as you can. mind me asking why you hate saying big boss is your favourite character though?
A masterful video as always. I eagerly await your next tribute.
Big Boss revealed himself to be far more of an idealist than Snake in MGS Peace Walker. He's more of a revolutionary, not for the liberation of citizens though. He stands for the liberation of soldiers THEMSELVES.
I think you REALLY need to do a Peace Walker tribute. There aren't really any on Youutbe and it's one of the most amazing MGS games I think.
@callsignHUSKER Big Boss indeed fought for freedom, but first he had to figure out who he was and before that he fought because others told him to do so. Just like Snake he and his brothers were created to be the succesors of Big Boss, their only purpose was to fight. And so Snake fought for others, then he rebelled and fought to discover who he was, and the at the very end he fought to liberate us from the Patriots, thus Snake carried on the legacy of Big Boss, wich was freedom not Outer Heaven
FRom all games i played there are several charcters that did the same thing as i would do etc. And that is Big Boss, Zack fair, John Marston (red dead redemption not earlier), Kratos at the end of GoW3, From the assassins creed series Ezio and from the Killzone`s jan Templar. But no one can compare themselves with Big Boss.
Solid Snake is better than Big Boss, just because solid was cloned doesn't make him any less. They're both my favourite video game characters ever though.

Awesome vid and song. Trying to use some Inception soundtracks, in some vids as well.

What is the song at the beginning? I know the other Is from Inception.
TheTremo99 10 months ago
@TheTremo99 I'm not quite sure. It's from a cut scene in Portable Ops. It's the scene where Snake captures the first soldier and gives him this speech.

EPIC TRIBUTE!!
Why kojima don't make more games about big boss for PS3???
I Love big boss! His my favorite character from MG series!
I hope after MGS Rising kojima make another metal gear game with big boss for PS3!!
SRB3445 11 months ago 14
@SRB3445 Totally agreed.
andeh22 11 months ago
Kojima stated today that hes gonna make a ps3 version of Peace Walker. :D
KRATOSRETURNSv2 9 months ago
@SRB3445 Because, Big Boss is full of epicness. If Kojima were to make more games about Big Boss, people would turn their religion and worship these series as if they were the true testaments.
chongxiong 10 months ago
@chongxiong Agreed. Big Boss is an amazing character, his image evokes pure awesomeness and to boot he is arguably Kojima's most tragic, complex and conflicted creation. Its clear Kojima feels the same way because of the work he's put into developing Big Boss since MGS3 - the fans werent screaming for Big Boss games or anything (although I was since MGS1), but Kojima wanted to develop him. In terms of telling a good story, the potential is almost limitless with Big Boss because hes so complex

When I first heard this tune in Inception, it realy reminded me of something you'd expect to hear in Metal Gear.
I think you've brought the two together beautifully.

this is gorgeous. metal gear solid is not only my favourite video game series, but also one of my favourite series in any media so it's great to see such inspirational videos from you. i hope you continue to make them for as long as you can. mind me asking why you hate saying big boss is your favourite character though?

The Greatest Soldier of the 20th Century was honored with a video worthy of his accomplishments
seyfersnake 1 year ago

@callsignHUSKER you mean the same person big boss is snake(naked)

FRom all games i played there are several charcters that did the same thing as i would do etc. And that is Big Boss, Zack fair, John Marston (red dead redemption not earlier), Kratos at the end of GoW3, From the assassins creed series Ezio and from the Killzone`s jan Templar. But no one can compare themselves with Big Boss.

You have really good choices of songs!

Solid Snake is better than Big Boss, just because solid was cloned doesn't make him any less. They're both my favourite video game characters ever though.

yuyuzja pretty much answered all the questions for me. You guys who haven't played Portable Ops and Peace Walker really need to.
