  • portuguese soups are delicious, i dont know how kids hate soup in other countries

  • I've been eating more fruits and vegetables lately. Also, I've been cutting out meat (Gasp!) from my diet. This dish looks amazing. But I'm currently teaching in Korea now, so unfortunately, I don't know if I can get my hands on some Swiss chard or collard greens. Can you recommend any other vegetable for a substitute, please? Keep up the great work!

  • The traditonal portuguese greens for soup is: collard greens. No bustitution.

  • LOL

    - Natural chicken broth from a... can???

    - Chili garlic sauce in a portuguese soap, only in your dreams.

    - Portuguese bean soup is made with read beans and cale!

  • @MiguelCJM Yes, kale is more traditional than swiss chard. Sure, it's better to make your chicken broth yourself. And I did have chilies and garlic in caldo verde, and some potatoes and linguica too...but never red beans.

Probably best to say this is Portuguese-inspired...we're going for healthy and updated, to help people eat more of what is better for them, and less of what is not. Soup forever! JL

  • @drlapuma Love the soup Dr La Puma!
