  • do you take creatine

  • The way you caught the bar and the foot placement is the main reason your knee started to hurt.

  • did you powerlift?

  • @TheFlyGuy009

Yes sir, went from shot put into oly lifting, repeated shoulder injuries cut that short at about age 19. I then focussed on strongman for the next 3 years and did some IPF powerlifting on the side.

  • @holymoly1234 good for you bro

  • @holymoly1234 damn bro, sounds like you're quite the strength athlete, i'm only 15 and i'm focusing on becoming a strength athlete, i've been working on that dream for ~4 months and my maxes are DL & squat = 245 with my bench at 185, i honestly hope to keep at it. anyway, GREAT lifts, and cheers!

  • your a big guy what weight class are you in?

  • @Feydfeydfeyd Was weighing probably just under 300lbs at on 6'5 here.

  • fat ass!

  • @salakerz324 He may be fat but I bet he could beat your ass... just sayin

  • hey man, quick question, in order to improve your power clean, do you need to work on front squat a lot or what?

  • @4244john

    Hey man,

It realyl depends on your weakness. I think the front squat is quite helpful, as are high pulls to the belly button (shrug and onto toes) with 110-125% of your clean. Technique is obviously important too, developing the ability to quickly get the bar from your hips to a comfortable rack height. I drilled alot with lighter weights and eventually got my powerclean up to 396 and full to 440 while training for strongman.

  • you aah a little girrly man and I am heeeaaah to pump you up! you must use more weight aaarnolld moooh wait. I could curl that when I was 12 years old and that was a reverse curl with no arms. Hey you take this crap too seriously. Slow down and smell the roses and the coffee

  • hey pal same thing happen to me buy a knee brace itll fix ya up

  • I LOVE IT WHEN FAT PEOPLE THINK THEY'RE STRONG. :D

  • @SanAndreasExplorer

    "SanAndreasExplorer"

  • @SanAndreasExplorer stfu this guy is probably 3-4 times stronger than you. Obviously this guy is strong as fuck and you don't know anything about lifting. bodybuilding, strongman, power lifting or Olympic lifting. Hossein Rezazadeh is easily one of the strongest man on the planet and he is pretty chubby.

  • That was hardcore

  • What gets people mad is that what the guy is accomplishing is the miss labeling of the video. i came here looking for "accidents" not mad just pointing the fact.

  • i didn't see any major problems with technique. It's looks like you have have been pushing yourself so hard a couple of bad times. Probably just leaned a bit to forward to often. Sorry for your injury.

  • that is some amazing strength

  • i tore my meniscus from overworking my legs and knees i guess... gotta wait 6 weeks and im going to keep lifting.

    your a beast

  • Kill it! Nice job man.

  • those are some heavy ass front squats. I love doin those but i fee like their painful to watch. Thats some insane power there though

  • I like the energy you put into training, no endless waiting periods, just run to the bar, throw it on your shoulders and squat. Keep up the good work!

  • 99 str

  • lame...

  • lame video jersey shore boy

  • nice form, my max clean lift was 155 lbs.

and my push press was like 100 lbs.

  • that stuff looks dangerous...

  • I just want to say excellent music. Me and my old training partner used to listen to this album in the gym.

  • damn dude, hope you heal up soon

  • Beast! Those cleans are impressive. I guess its a case of live and learn.

  • good job man keep it up

  • Damn impressive man!

  • it sucks when you get injured I know how you feel

  • fucking douchebag i wanted to see ur acl tear, and gay music by the way

  • omg that is like the most brutal power exercise on this planet!

  • STOP DOING FRONT SQUATS for fuck sake.

  • made that shit look easy what a hoss

  • hey man great form, you know what to do even if you mess up. A good lifter knows when he/she has a bad rep. and will correct it. Great job man!

  • strong clean and jerking + front squatting

  • Very strong, 5 stars

  • My best front squat was 405 @ 198 but I had a suit & wraps on. I hit parallel but not slam down rock bottom like that. Slamming down like that has gotta do some kneee damage.

  • I would really really really find a different spot to do your CJ if you fall at all backward ..it could KILL YOU you have no place to fall but into the wall.. I am saying this as a man that fell with weights and snapped both arms ...I have also herniated a disk ...and about ten years ago ..tore my esophagus..though at times we feel like super man ..all it takes is a split second , say when you hurt your knee, to fall over backward..and that will be your last lift ..take care :)

  • He needs to Euro Train

  • your a strong mofo!!!!

  • ups it was at the end of the video, hahahaha.

  • please, name of the song/band.

  • very strong lifts!

I never believed in cleans because I always felt it just cranked too much pressure on the knees.

  • That sucks about your knee, take some equipoise mid dose range. It increases cologin synthesis.

  • please becareful now im scared to do this.lol

  • yeah dude you're a friggin' beast.

  • impressive kilt thats how you really lift some weight! gl in the strong man stuff

  • I used to do powerlifting until I realized how dangerous, useless, and stupid it basically was. I was almost gonna go for the olympics, now I do martial arts instead and am looking forward to world championships in this instead.

  • Receiving blunt force trauma to all parts of your body and damaging yourself by delivering the same unto others isn't "dangerous, useless, and stupid" while providing healthy resistance to your entire body with controlled movements of heavy weights is?

I don't think so. Powerlifting is only dangerous, useless and stupid when idiotic amateurs do it. Always trying to outlift themselves, pushing boundaries and not realizing that powerlifting is a sport of patience, not rapid improvement.

  • Well, thats what i'm talkin about, in powerlifting everyone is always just trying to go that extra five or ten pounds more until something pops, i even once read a medical report on how it causes stress in your heart's arteries because of the incredible amount of force needed for maxing out.

  • That's the point, you're not supposed to max out except at competition. Normally, you cycle up and down reaching a 90 to 95% peak and then VOLUNTARILY cycle back down to a slightly higher weight than what you started with and back again. If you wait until you hit a wall, you shit on your gains and could hurt yourself.

Everyone wants to be a world class powerlifter when they start out, when it takes 10+ years to reach that level. Sometimes even more. So stop rushing and keep lifting: SAFELY!

  • I couldn't agree with you more. The joints and tendons just aren't meant to endure that much abuse. Most will need hip and knee replacements by the time they're 55.

  • Yeah, My highschool has won seven state champs or more as a team consecutevily through the years. But, most of us had shoulder dislocations, knee blowouts, hernias, and even the coach was only forty and awaiting a knee surgery to get back into the professional circuit.

  • @Reg197844 well the forces when running and jumping are just as high so better do nothing then

  • @wingedsoul

    Powerlifting isn't an olympic sport.

    Also, this isn't powerlifting.

    But Ya your the toughest.

  • @wingedsoul

mmm powerlifting is not an Olympic sport....

  • dang, u got me all excited. i was hoping 2 c a knee blown out but its still an impressive vid. . . the world record for the 105 kg class is a 236 clean n jerk so keep workin.

  • The negative comments are from what people call "Haters". They are little skinny dumb fucks who can't lift more than 100 lbs so they come sit on youtube and make fun of people who can.

  • Word. I've cleaned up the form a bit and now doing 550 front and 440 clean despite not training as an oly lifter. Sometimes you got to take risks and learn as you go along.

  • @holymoly1234 thats the best way to learn i think

  • whats the name of the song and artist ?

  • Theatre of Tragedy- Fair and Guiling Copesmate Death. Apparently this may be acovered by Rammstein and the Cranberries, but seems unlikely. Just liked the sound of it.

  • dude thats pretty crazy that some ppl can lift wieght like that. im a pretty small dude and i dont even think i could lift 380# off the floor let alone above my fuckin dome....

  • Thanks dude, had lots of negative comments on this. Up to 550 front and 440 clean now, training as a strongman.

  • take care dude.

    focus on cardio

  • I don't like how your form broke on the first front squat (it was too heavy for you) and then you still tried more weight anyway. But regardless you're strong as an ox! Be careful man!

  • Thanks, up to 550 now.

  • no squatting for 2 months?!? :O

  • A really good front squat it is my worst exercise good vid hope your getting better

  • Nice man! Keep it up... only complaint is that the song wasn't Rammstein.

  • Excellent.

  • Hate injuries, really hate them. Hope you have recovered well and are doiing tons more.

  • @CertifiedOddBall That makes two of us, recovering from small knee injury myself. Hopefully cleaning, squatting, and deadlifting soon.

  • Title of video is completely misleading, you just wasted 2 and a half minutes of everyone's time, pathetic.

  • if anybodys got tips on power cleans tell me

  • get a half a thumb away from the smooth part of the bar, hands inside legs, squat down to parallel, keep back flat, then explode up from the ground

  • today i squat 200 lb, not a big deal but it makes you feel great when you improved.

hope your injuries are ok now, keep the good job, hope someday you can be as strong as you want! ok, see ya!

  • ah.....I'm looking at getting more wookie power too....let me know!

  • No, it is not the right way to do squat. It is however the right way to do front squat, as he wrote in the title.

    Fucking dickhead.

  • Awesome! Let us know when you get the magic 182.5 c&j!

  • As an old olympic lifter from 30 years ago I was very impressed. What weight class are you in and what was your best snatch and clean and jerk?

Keep up the good work and hope you're recovered by now.

  • Hi, this is Jnr 105kg+ class. best lifts 132.5/180. Clean is 190. I've recovered and am powercleaning 150x5 reps, so will get bigger lifts when I come back from strongman focus.

  • God job man ,, don't listen to all the negative comments ,, keep it up .

  • The problem is this guy thinks he can lift when really his technique is poor. He can't handle the weight he's using. Keep getting those injuries pal - you deserve them 'lifting' like that.

  • nicely done man just take it ez lol i was afraid everytime u'd break somthing

  • Lots of intelligence in this thread.

  • Youtube ninjas and all knowing scientists,in fact i in bet in my car that most of you are 15 y old. So please be quiet. "Self confidence",he can get that in karate or kickbox also, and to be stronger (for kicking up your asses),now he is one pure slow fat bastard. Period. I wont pay attention to this video, its being commented by 15 y old youtube nerdsssss =)

  • First of all you dont know if he is training for a specific event or sport or whatever else bodybuilding would incorporate. Second of all, he doesn't look like the huge freakish bodybuilders where itt looks like they can't even touch their heads. Third, bodybuilding has a multitude of positive effects on the human body and self confidence.

  • What a mature comment, you explained all. Get a brain on black market.

  • i love you comment. you know why? because you know you'll never be able to lift that much weight. that's why.

  • Dude, you don't know why the hell he's lifting all this weight. For all we know he could be training to be the strongest man in the world some day. For all we know mabye he just loves power lifting. I think YOU'RE the one be stupid. People give me a thumbs up if you agree!

  • Some people lift for gain and strength, others lift for speed, endurance and agility. Not everyone has to do the workout that you and your 9th grade gym teacher do.

  • NICE STRENGTH! hey did you loose balance or something like that because it looked a bit like you stumbled I marvel you though so no worries

  • dude ur a monster. i can only front squat 225 7 times haha

  • Front squats knackered my right knee too. It's been 6 months now and it still ain't right. I'm starting to worry.

  • awsome strength mate, take care though

  • What a beast.. keep it up, and hope you recover to beyond 100%

  • wow nice video first true weightlifter on youtube

  • good job dude, very powerful you are a beast

  • nice lifts gl with ur knee

  • I have problems racking the bar in the front squat. I always feel as though my elbows are not high enough to keep the bar in place.

  • awesome bro! lotz a power

  • my brother i know exactly what you mean, even though we can lift beyond what our body can comprehend, don't let the mind take over you, the weight training is a lifetime journey, and there will be heavy hills along the path. Train intelligently and keep going.

  • Hope you recover well. Nice lifts brother.

  • intense intense

  • haha yea front squats are good for your knee

    (sarcasm)

  • beautiful

  • why the fuck would you even bother to try lifting that much?

  • Were humans, WERE IDIOTS

  • hahaha, true

  • why not

  • hope the knee heals up!

    damn good lifts though

    great technique!

  • wow, huge lifts, impressive

  • Hey I am curious what caused that knee injury? Was that slight twist more than the other leg?

  • Weight dropped on me and the right knee twisted in quite alot. Hard to see from side angle. Doesn't look like much, but it really messed me up. Don't let your cleans drop on you!

  • that happen to me to, i had 205 drop on my knee from a clean, i pull and thrusted my hips out and hip my self in the nut and tried to finish the lift.

  • Thats some crazy weights holymoly! Great work, but seriously dude how heavier do you want to lift?

  • Is this After Forever I hear?

  • Hi mate, not really sure. This isn't really the kind of music I listen to, but quite liked it. From what I gather it's a Theatre of Tragedy song covered by Rammstein and the Cranberries. Song title: Fair and Guiling Copesmate Death.

  • i watch your vids many times. very inspiring.

  • good luck with the healing!

  • Still beasting away, kiwi/SA.

Looking a little slimmer? Have you been carb cycling? lol. Sorry to hear about the knee. Hope it heals up.

  • Greatlifting mate, touch break on the knee. Just starting to get coaching for the oly lifts myself so i hope i can be lifting those kind of weights soon.

    Heal up dude.

  • Sorry to hear about the knee buddy.

Jeez your strong. I'm dumbfounded by the amount of weight you can throw up.

  • Thanks man. I appreciate it. Am getting alot better though injury wise.

  • sorry to hear about your injury. You were looking really strong there. Good luck with recovery. You're kidding about the "GUNZ" right?

  • Cheers. Nah I'm not kidding about the gunz! Haha. I think I got 18 or 18.5 inch arms, 31 inch quads and last count around a 20 inch neck. Arms are way out of propoertion.

Btw, you need to get on marunde-muscle dot com/forum ASAP!
