I'm 26 and take propecia. I'm fine been taking it 2 years. Very little side effects. Eat right,exercise, don't smoke cigs or drink too much. Lots of these guys on here blame there impotence on Propecia instead of fast food, being fat, smoking, sickness, etc. There looking for something to blame. The guy wanting to do research on this drug sayin it causes peremanent side effects just wants goverment grants for research. Also if it was "perement" woulndt the hairloss be permanent too after a while

I was on it for 9 months and didn't notice any hair changes but I did have a variety of sexual dysfunctionalities, including inability to get an erection, soft erections, more translucent and watery semen, and increased threshold of mental and physical stimulation required.

I'm not so sure about this being permanent though... I'm 23 and after 1 week off of it I have morning erections again and firm erections, which I didn't get while on it. Libido (desire) was normal the entire time.

@unkah2000 Sometimes I wonder where alot of people's common sense has gone. Propecia ia effective and yes it can cause side effects in some people. However you will need to try it for yourself. Just because someone else has side effects does not mean you will have the same side effects, or with the same intensity. Try it for 1-3 months and if you are having side effects stop taking it. If not then continue. It's not rocket science.

thanks bro i was going to use it but i looked it up a little more and basically everything you say is true. what would you advise me to use instead because im looking up proscar is that a safer drug would you say ? if you dont know man its fine tx for the advice

i use it for 6 mth now...can see new hairs growing back...no side effect to me so far..

It worked for me with no side effects at all. Sorry to hear what happened to concerned11 but not everyone experiences side effects.
