  • This is the worst think theme version. No Doubt!

  • Thank God they got rid of this quickly...

  • @GSNSmashFan3 At last.

  • Honestly, this sucks.

  • There was this overemphasis on the key notes of the music, in both the theme and think! I think that was when they adjusted it accordingly.

  • I wonder if my old friend Shawnie heard this one. This sounds like the one on snes jeopardy featuring alex trebek and the intro of the nes game.

  • Sounds like somebody fucking died!!!!

  • I like thi it sounds like knocking on doors

  • Kinda reminds me of how me and my dad would just sit and watch jeopardy/wheel of ortune on CBC... good times...

  • @NintendoSpoofer Yes i know i miss the old jeopardy song though

  • dun dun dun duun duun duuuuun duuuun dun dun XD

  • IT'S SO ADDICTING! :D

  • I dunno... This version of Think! does seem more upbeat... But then again, the older version is a whole lot more recognizable. Not to mention, isn't as harsh on the ears. Yup, I like the 1998-2008 version of Think!...

Try to play both at the same time in different windows and your ears will lol.

  • Why does this version of the Think music sound moreso like a lullaby then any of the others... I can't stand it.

It's one of the main reasons I stopped watching Jeopardy regularly

  • i thought they were kettle drums ^-^ lmao just messin, i kno either is applicable

  • If that was a reply to my comment, then that wasn't right. How can you correct someones personal opinion. Plus I never said that this was better than any of the verions, so before you throw out F- Yous make sure you can comprehend the comment. Jerk.

  • I don't like this version for the following reasons:

    1. No tympani

2.tic toc sounds like drop drop

    3. tic toc is slowed down

    4. It diesn't sound serious like th other versions (disregard 84-97)

    5. The instrumentation doesn't fit the music

  • Agreed 100%. The tympani was a good way to end. If Steve Kaplan was still around, we would have a way better "Think!" than this one. But RIP. And just like many show fans, I'm very angry that the board-fill sound is gone.

  • The tick tock does sound like it goes 3/4 of the rate of the past think songs, but then the rate of the tick tock doubles as a tempo, just not as fast as the others in the past.

  • Or is it 1/4 the rate.

  • Same tempo, different key. The first one started in C, this one's a... semitone down I believe.

  • Too obnoxious for "think music"

  • I agree. It makes it sound less "thinky" and more like I'm in Mr. Roger's Land of Make Believe.

  • I don't know. I liked it better when it was more sparse.

  • I like this one but I think the '97 is the best then this then the 60's and '98

  • I like it.

  • This sounds much too whimsical for my tastes.

  • I kind of liked the old one better, but I'll live with this one =D

  • This is a pretty good version, but I still like the older one better. but this one will most likely grow on me over time.

  • They have the remixed version of 1998-2008 =D =3 im happy X3

  • JEP! should've had it 10 years ago.

  • Awesome Theme!

  • the think music sucked this year at first but they made a few small changes and I can honestly say i love it now

  • The new think music today is awesome!! Also, there's a new think music that sounds like it's on piano... awesome!! I love it!!

  • I think you people are overreacting way too much. It's still three players supplying questions to 61 answers. Its still Jeopardy. I don't think a show like this could ever jump the shark with Trebek still the emcee.

  • I agree, it's still the same, just that they eliminated one sound effect... nobody has to bitch about it.

    --Mathew

  • Jeopardy! and The Price is Right were the only shows I knew that didn't jump the shark, at least way too much. Only Jeopardy! is left now.

  • I was ready to hate this... but I don't.

  • You're not alone, brithgob, I love this think music... to be honest, I thought the 1998-2008 think music was old.

  • Sounds like I'm watching a Disney movie...

  • This music reminds me of The Legend of Zelda kind of games. It is too mystifying to be a good think theme.

  • I just heard the old one again when the girl won for the 2nd time.

  • I would assume that was a repeat...

  • @rfrancis51284 No it wasn't. In October 2008 they began rotating this one and the other version (which debut Oct. 13, 2008). Eventually they began using the current one permanently.

I think they were testing them out and see which one people (possibly the studio audience) liked better.

  • @telewatcher89 I like this version (the one in this video) better than the other

  • @rfrancis51284 Bye!

  • @Brentfil06 what episode was that?

  • @Brentfil06 are you talking about the 1997-2008 Think! music. And which episode was that?

  • But think about the future! We don't want the same Think music in the future. It's time to stop living in the past, to face what lies ahead for us in the Boulevard of Broken Dreams.

  • You and me both, Nevetsboy2. Think about it, people... they've used the same think music for ten straight years -- since 1998, I think the guys at Jeopardy! thought that it was time for a change. Don't you?

    --Mathew

  • I do so agree, Mat49324, I do indeed

    -Nevetsboy2

  • Yeah but that dramastic of a change is alittle bit much.

It dosen't ruin the show like some people have stupidly said on this video's comment section but I mean wow what a big jump.

  • No, I didn't make this up, this is the genuine article.

  • I really like this theme because it reminds me of the original theme. Also it has a sort of orchestral sound like the previous theme. I give it two thumbs up.

  • WOW! Nice!

  • I LOVE THIS THEME!! IT SOUNDS SO CLASSICAL!!

    --Mathew

  • I heard this for the first time a few nights ago. Weird! It's like the music you'd hear on a carousel or ferris wheel at the fair.

This version is growing on me, but you can't beat the original version of the think music.

  • That's true, but you have to have a classical music feeling inside of you. Don't you feel like you're hearing it classical-like?

    --Mahtew

  • I think if you consider the theme in light of the arrangement of the Opening/closing theme it doesn't sound as strange (if that makes sense).

  • when i first heard the new verison it instantly reminded me of the guy on the organ during the celebrity edition. i think its decent

  • I thought the same thing!

  • This music sounds good in a magical, whimsical, fictitious children's book. This song missed the whole meaning of "Final Jeopardy!" Merv Griffin would not be happy about this song.

  • I totally agree! It misses the mark on the whole "professional" look and feel of Jeopardy. I cringe whenever I hear it.

  • I don't think it's a bad arrangement in its own right, but it definitely sounds out-of-place on a cerebral quiz show like this. If they ever attempted another kids' version, maybe this would work.

I do like the main theme, however.

  • When I heard this on last night's show, I was thinking this is by far the worst think music they have ever come up with.

  • It sounds like something you hear in church. I'm not a huge fan of this music myself.

  • This sounds strange...

  • Now if they put Jeopardy! in Disney, then this theme would be perfect.

  • But then you get used to it and like it when you listen to it over and over.
