I trully look forward to the day that I could come close to soundin' like that ..... omg, If I could get the form of one hand and the speed of the other into one arm, I would have never had to get married LOL
I'll never forget the concert I went to starring Liberace and this giy here...his banjo playing was phenominal. Too bad there isn't more of Scotty on youtube, it's seems to me he's been forgotton. I have an album of his somewhere in my collection that I bought minuets after that concert I attented. I took my mother there as in a gift from me to her, otherwise she would of never went...the thing is we went to see Liberace, but it was Scotty (who was all new to me) that stole the show. Thx4sharin
This is fantastic! I have a photograph of Scotty, Liberace, Anna Nateece, and Vince Cardell that Anna (Nateece)- Liberace's fur designer gave me that was of the first night she met them. Such a fantastic video.
I met him in 1974 through my father Ray Price, Liberache's drummer. I remember Ray Arnett too. I was only 14 and Scotty was my first boyfriend. We dated for four years. He was a great person. I have only the best memories!
My name is Steve. Back in 1975, I met Scotty and his mom who was touring with him and Liberace. I was auditioned by Ray Arnett, Liberace's stage manager. My folks wouldn't let me go! I met Scotty and his mom in the Nanuet mall; coincidentall in an organ store the mall had years ago. What an amazing experience. I am most addened to learn of his death.
this guy's good!... another good one here somewhere in you tube-land is Mike Oldfield using a mandolin to play the sailors hornpipe... look it up, it's fun to watch too.
It was the mid 70s. crime ravaged the streets, a disenfranchised public. Cocaine use and Banjo playin were the new fad. and nobody saw an end in sight! go go go spin dat disco banjo! jaaaammm!
RIP Scotty. I went to elementary school with him. He was on a cruise ship I think in the Bahamas. He took a scooter ride and died in an accident.
