now it being 2011 its even moreee not worth buying a 3gs....i dont even want the 4...i have my jailbroken 3g i have a camcorder....everything a 3g's has, and the 4 only has the video conference....well u have to find another iphone 4 user and be on wifi...they can kiss my ass...im eligable for an upgrade on 2 phones...i am going to get the 3g's all day, they are reliable and i can make it just as tight as a 4

The main reason why you shouldn't buy the 3GS: Apple will release the iPhone 4G next year. Prototypes are already made. The iPhone 4G will make the 3GS obsolete.

the video recording on cydia suck ass horrible quality and theres like 5 diffences 32gb available 3.0 camera,voice control,built in compass,the 3g on the 3gs is faster then the standard 3g,straight uploading to youtube...and twice as fast i noticed a hugee difference with my 3gs to my 3g

No, actually I've noticed goods and bads on both sides. The cycorder can take medium and long shots a lot better and handles sudden high concentrations of light better to. But the 3Gs can get great close ups unlike the cycorder, although the quality from its long shots or medium shots are a lot worst than the cycorder.

you are right its not a huge upgrade. But for those that use alot video recording. autofocus is a "BIG" thing, and the new video camera is 3MP and 30Frames per sec instead of original iPhone and the iPhone 3G which is 6-15 Frames per second. Video quality is a big difference. Compas feature is nice but not really needed. But yes only Major upgrade is Video camera so if you are buying iPhone 3G S you are paying like 200-400$ just to upgrade your camera. (I for one record ALOT of videos)

I wish they'd come out with an iPhone with a physical keyboard, thats the one and only request (and Flash support), I'd really like to see. I will buy the iPhone 3Gs only cuz I want the faster processor and the better camera with tap auto focus, digital compass for google maps and the gps, and video recording with scrub editing feature... true you can get video recording with a jailbroken iPhone but its not exactly the same, I tried it.

Like I said, I'm not dropping extra money on the iPhone 3G S. I'll just wait until an iPhone with a 5MP camera comes out. Hopefully by then it will have 128GB of memory or even more. (And yes, I do need that much space.)

As for right now, there are only a few small upgrades. However if you don't own an iPhone already, definitely pick up the iPhone 3G S. You'd be stupid not to.
