A friend and I saw them years ago at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow and afterwards met J on the street where he was looking for a pub or club to go to. Went to The Garage and then The Cotton Club and had a few pints and laugh. Seemed cool and not too shy.

J is the most shy person I have ever approached. Saw him and Lou on the street before a show and simply said hi and he seemed terrified. He squeeked a hi back at me that sounded like real fear. I felt bad.
Damn people....I feel like an aliën çause i never heard of j mascis b4...it was by exident..i was looking for maggot brain and he played it....But sounds nice
dude, can I borrow your time-machine. I'd like to see the pacific northwest right after the iceage. I'd get all the indian chicks, and wrastle with some wooly mammoths. I'd wait until they were sleeping and drive my car into thier ribcage, then when they fell over. I'd have the indian chicks smother him with their giant boobs. great solo, thanks.
You're not helping matters. He admitted to having made a mistake. For all you know he could have been feigning ignorance to make a (bad) joke. Try looking beyond borders and nationalities. Besides, it's not like Canadians are all well-read and of above-average intelligence. Edmonton proves this.
so funny that the Cobain's and those like hime eshewed the dreaded SOLO, the solo being cheesy and lame. That said this is GOOD..

he has a digital delay stomp box. he creates a loop of of chords (C to F), then solos over the loop.
