DM your info is totally wrong for the Air Force.. A little on the Navy, and Coast Guard protect the Cost, and hels the Reservist.Marines is its own service. It just has a bracnch with the Navy pilots, and Navy medics sometimes go with Marines, depending on there tour.Get reliable info bro.

Well, the Marines are rarely first in, in reality. And Army grunts deploy for over a year, while Marines deploy for typically 6 months. More soldiers have died in every war than Marines.

@CaptainAmerica322 IMO someone trained to become a Marine has a better chance of survival than those trained to be a soldier in the Army. Marines on average are more accurate for example. Thats why I went with the Marines instead of the Army. Also keep in mind a lot of those deaths are from failures. For example the first landings into France, the stationary defenses where supposed to have been destroyed. 20,000+ lives where lost because of this fail. Also look at the Airborne, a suicide unit...

Ok, are you actually a Marine? Also, the US military has an Infantry doctrine, that the US Marines AND the US Army uses. It's no different. And no, Marines are not better trained in any way.

@CaptainAmerica322 Yes. Marines get 12 weeks of training while the Army gets 9 weeks of training. Marines spend more time learning to become an efficient rifle man. As of right now Marines are issued the best all around camouflage (MARPAT). I don't know about you, but better camouflage and being more accurate, along with everyone else in your squad means to me, higher survival rates. Also Marines are expected to have a higher level of endurance.

@StickedJJ Both are great at what they do. The USAF rules the skies and the Navy rules the seas. However, I believe that the USAF is the way to go. My grandpa was in the Air Force and he loved it. His daughter, my mom, went Navy and after 20 something years she told me that she wished she had gone Air Force. Either way, they are serving our country and they have my utmost respect.
