  • nice, sic flybird

how can i get me those lights in the bumper,

or is it just a do it yourself

  • @SKitles888 It's completely a DIY job. I did it while I had the car apart for the engine rebuild. I made some brackets out of sheet metal to hold the lights and cut up the little black plastic pieces that are behind them. I think you can probably buy brackets for them, since there was a factory option to put lights there in the TA's, but it was just as easy to make my own.

  • @ucnu112 oh yea for sure, thanks

  • @ucnu112 how did you make them ramps? glue or screw? and do you have to take out the y pipe to get to the starter?

  • @Bajaheat I just bought 2x12's and cut them into lengths. I think the bottom piece was 3 feet long, middle piece 2 feet and top piece 1 foot long. I stacked them & screwed them together to make the ramps. That was the easiest way I could get the car high enough to get my jack underneath it. I did have to take the y-pipe off, but the bolts weren't rusty yet, so it was pretty easy.

  • haha its easier to pull the motor mount bolt and jack the engine up... you only need a little bit of room...

  • I did the same thing with my 95 formula :-). Kind-of stupid how you have to drop the y pipe to pull the starter out, though. Nobody believed me when I told them that you have to go through all of that trouble just to replace the starter.

  • hi just wondering i want to buy a 95 trans am with 190000kms on it is that bad is the lt1 a good motor dont want to buy it and it blows on me he wants 10grand let me no asap please

  • Someone posted a similar question on one of my other videos (the dyno one). Go to edmunds-dot-com, kbb-dot-com, and nadaguides-dot-com and find a proper value for that vehicle. $10k sounds like too much for that car.

  • what did you do to the car? im looking at a 94 firebird, and i want it to sound like that.

  • Hotcam w/ 1.6 RRs and Hooker shorty headers, new lifters, push rods, cam and crank bearings. It wasn't a true rebuild... more just 'freshened up.'

  • Sounds nice man. How much did it all cost?

  • I think it was around $1,000 for labor, and I don't recall what the parts cost. There was some other stuff done @ the same time (shocks, subframe connectors, strut tower brace). It was all done @ a buddy's shop, plus he let me help so I could learn too.

  • ooh, well you are lucky! I just was looking at a 94 LT1 like i said before, for my first car, and I was wondering what I could do for about 500 to make it sound the best, probably new cam, headers, exhuast.

  • sweet ride man.....

  • sweet car lol i love those rims there hot as hell.

  • I just replaced my starter...it finally went out. Had to drop the y-pipe as well, took me about two hours..

  • So do you have to change the lifter and pushrods out when doing the cam swap??

  • No, but I had 130k miles on the engine and wanted to do it to be safe. Check out CamaroZ28 dot com for a lot of advice and help on doing things w/ your car. That's where I learned a lot about the build-up on my car.

  • Thanks man, my '94 z28 has 128,400 miles. Thanks for the advice again, will check it out.

  • Lt4 hotcam kit??

  • springs and the cam from the kit, but I got different rockers, lifters and pushrods.

  • Nice sound, is she cammed?

  • yep, it's a Hotcam w/ 1.6 RRs and Hooker shorty headers.

  • haha, obviously I know nothing about cars. If my car sounded like that I would take it to the mechanic for a tune up ;)

  • um, its a huge fukin 8 cylinder american muscle. That is VERY Healthy sounding. I just bought a 94 formula, I am postin it on youtube soon.
