you guys normally do some pretty decent Spirit covers, but i gotta say this one is definitly not a song you want to attempt with a 3 piece band, and the riff is a bit off.
this song must have the jazzy piano part played up front. the guitar riff is kind of tricky and 2 guitars trying to play it is a mess. still a great song worthy of a better try. mechanical world might be a better one for your group. the fresh garbage really needs the strong keyboard player.
@nootaramus Hi yes if we were trying to carbon copy the original!- but Randy used to play it many times with no keyboard player! Maybe you never heard that.
Gotta give you guys credit-you thrashed it to the very end. Love the freaky lighting effect. I've never heard anyone do a cover of Spirit before-a great 60's California band! Regards, '62 Mathew St.
Thanks for your comment.. Spririt one of the most underated bands of the 20th C. p.s. we've done a new / better? version of this song which we just posted 'FRESH GARBAGE 3 SPIRIT'
Fresh Garbage is one of my favorite songs by Spirit, one of my favorite bands. Highly recommend you check out the version by "Cinnimon Haze" on YouTube.
The first time I heard 'fresh garbage', was in a club called the 'Sportsmans Arms' Coventry, West Midlands, the band were called 'Money Jungle', that was circa 1973.

Are you mad?

@BlackJackRaven - iracord is right, you are playing the main riff wrong. listen to the guitar part, not the electric piano part.

Gibson SG 's were notoriously hard to tune, so I'll cut this guy a break.

They're out of tune, can't play together, and the beat wanders. Other than that, it's pretty good.
