  • Music has fallen.

  • @ribblock1 couldnt agree more with you.

  • I was obsessed with this song in 1982. I would listen to it over and over. I'd never heard any song like it - before or since. I still have their record album, and a ticket stub for a concert in 1984 @ Radford University, $7.50.

  • Kurt Cobain.

  • Great audio quality on this.

  • Still one of my favorites after all this time......

  • Am I the only one that noticed that he sounds like a cross between Kurt Cobaine and David Bowie?

  • @kanjiporsche He sounds a bit like Bowie and Cobaine sounds a bit like him.

  • maybe you have not noticed that this singer sounds like a cross between Kurt Cobaine and David Bowie?

  • Funny, when I saw them live back in the day, Richard Butler reminded me so much of a young Bowie. Here, he looks so much like a young John Lydon (who's had better orthodontic work).

  • "The 80s are back" - c'mon man get real. We can't duplicate what been done. Music has blew dog for ten years + now. This video sounds great, but what was that at the end? BTW as much as I LOVE this cut it should have had a better video!!!

  • This song makes me think of high school! Yeah, I'm old.

  • This song and this video brings back ton's of memories. This video actually introduced me to "alternative" genre! So, here's to you Richard Butler and Psych Furs, THANK YOU!

  • I fucking WORSHIP Richard Butler!!! I remember when I first heard this AMAZING song back in the '80's and within a month I went to my see The Furs in concert!!! MIND-BLOWING sound and a MIND-BLOWING frontman to boot!!! What a fucking HOT/SEXY BEAST he was!!! I was EXPOSED to Richard Butler & The Furs 1/2 year before I EVEN knew who Bauhaus & Peter Murphy were ( and I'm like that band's MAIN FREAK!!! ) Maybe I should change my "name" to Richard Butler "freak" instead!!! I don't know...

  • Utterly gorgeous. One of my top two pop songs from the 80's (along with The Smiths' "How Soon Is Now?"

  • What an utterely, utterely brilliant song I was so lucky to have grown up in the 80's this is a little gem

  • love dis song.....it makez me feel better when im depressed....

  • rex 203 well said

  • Where the 80's were color, the following decades have been black and white. It was hedonistic, voyeuristic, sexy, fun and larger than life. The sex, the drugs, the rock n' roll. From the Pretenders to Poison, the whole decade was about letting your personal style soar. Punk rock, glam rock, new wave. Substance does not get you hard. Style does. lol

Ya had to have lived it to know what I mean.

  • Having never lived in the 80s, I can safely say it is the worst decade in history.

    ;)

  • thats why you can't say it.

  • I would have to say that the 80's fashions were the worst in all fashion history. All those valley girl and Madonna boy toy clothes for women and Miami Vice linen jackets with five o'clock shadows for men. Blech!

But the MUSIC - OMG - was the *BEST!*

  • yea but it was there gear i dont like the jeans all the way up and the hair lol

  • Having lived since the '70s, I can safely say the '90s were the worst decade in history.

    '80s music kills all though.

  • I agree. 90's music was dire.

  • what no way 90's had some good music

  • I MISS THE 80S! Stoners wearing skin tight levis anc concert shirts, new wave wannabes, preps sporting 3 shirts a time, nerds, jocks, high school keg parties, big hair, bad clothes, good times...... When I die, I'm not going to heaven, I'm going back to the 80s!!!!!! Who's with me?!!!!!!!

  • I'm there with you! 80's must be better than any heaven our "loving" God can produce. BTW, a loving God would not torture his children so. Would you do it to your children?

  • Count me in too. 80s is the best era on earth. I miss it everyday.

  • I'm there! :)

  • I'm going back to the 70s. Maybe we'll meet at the crossover?

  • i follow,

    where my mind goes........

Great tune, one I'll never tire of.

  • And what is odd is he sometimes sounds like Bowie, but looks like him too.

  • HAHAHA!! LMAF!! I thought the same thing. I bet he collects butterflys too!

  • Wasn't this song on the Valley Girl movie soundtrack?

  • yep

  • recoding sounds weird on utube, classic song though love it

  • Roderick---you are RIGHT! Richard Bulter is Mich Jagger and David Bowie's LOVE CHILD!! LOL! Julian Cope could be his uncle.

  • Oh my God I think you just gave me a hernia, there, bunnEgirl. Now I'm gonna bleed out and expire here in front of Richard Butler's harem pants and scraggly-looking pseudo-mullet. Help me, Letterman, help me!

  • i like break dancing

  • The 80's was a bridge between the 70's and the 2000' ,unfortunately it was also an homage to the self.We cant say that the music from this era was full of shit, and we cant say that it was all good.

  • well done. thank you for posting.

  • lovin this song.

  • couple this with some john hughes movies and transport me back to the 80's!

  • my favourite song of the great 80's...

  • woo!

  • woo! how do you know this song???!!!

  • lool idk i just saw and clicked on it looooooooooooool

  • Mesmerizing music (and imagery) and metaphor-invoking lyrics with meaningful social commentary besides; Who could ask for more? It's just amazing how much these blokes could accomplish with a xzylophone.
