@Bubblewrap34 LMAO!! thats the point! Its 2 entirely different verses, one through the left channel, and one through the right! Lateef, and Lyrics Born, doing what they do!! Even 15 years later, I've never heard anyone do anything quite like it! Unique, Original, Innovative, & Thought-Provoking! Everything GOOD music should be!
i havent listened to latyrx enough before, but i caught them at outside lands and had to check them out. this track DEFINITELY has DJ Shadow's fingerprints all over it, good shit
If you want to drop acid and listen to this, then you want to drop acid and listen to The Velvet Underground's "Murder Mystery". Far more intense and makes your brain do calisthenics, Hey!, while you're at it, you should listen to "Chemistry Calisthenics" and "Alphabet Aerobics" as well. Both dope tracks with Quannum Family on 'em. Gift of Gab is quite good, if you haven't heard.
my youtube sometimes does this thing where the video looks like it used to on cable where you tune into the channels you don't get. this is the only one where it makes sense.
im sure i just need to update my flash or java or browser or windows or hardware.
they had Latyrx go thru how they wrote this track and how they make up their lyrics in general in a dope hiphop book that's out, named 'HOW -TO .RAP' where they spoke with practically alll the best lyrical rappers in there, its a great read
one of my favorites, lyrics born and lateef are easily the dopest duo to do it. MUCH RESPECT its all about letting loose over a beat and i can feel it to DEATH.
wow. that was something to listen to.. if you listen to it three times, you could focus on the left speaker, then the right and then try it again with both together (not in that order necessarily)
what this is is the best hip hop track ever recorded. light years beyond anything else. It's taken me years just to begin to comprehend what the lyrics actually mean..
props to shadow for production on this track. this is one of those hidden gems of hip-hop that's too abstract for the mainstream but shows how forward thinking the guys at Quannum were. it's a real forward step for hip hop which sadly has gone mostly unnoticed while the genre seems to be spinning its wheels in redundant tales of excess.
@FrictionAndFracture ........TOO true. This is unheard-of, while we get endless vocorder and "bottle poppin" club jams on the radio. Experimental stuff like this and the GOOD traditional stuff like Slaughterhouse gives me hope for hip hop
crazy!

so sick. Latyrx's first take on this song is pretty dope too and lets you really focus on the lyrics. Check out Latyrx (Last Chance to Comprehend)
