That's the Scan ability. You get it through leveling. To activate it, you have to go to the main menu and select "Abilities" then select Sora and scroll down the list until you see it. When you see the ability you want to equip, just press the X button to equip it.

You really don't have to talk to Flounder, but you DO have to ride the dolphin in the first area in order for it to go into the second area.

question! um so in the sunken ship part theres a boat's "nose" sticking up out of the sand by the giant rock with weird markings on it and theres something behind it that sora can't reach. do you come back later for that?

LISTEN EVERYONE........... I have a codebreaker cheat for this game and it lets me lvl up to 225. but the catch is that you never get any new skills thats what sucks.

there is a short cut to the grotto.

go in a cave near the bottom

hit a gyser and it opens a way to

the grotto. and also gives you a chest with

orichalcum

here's a little tip for the big jelly fish things, AKA Sea Neon, attack them but leave a litte of their life left than you magic to kill them, that way they do not separate into smaller ones and its less annoying =]

you actually have to ride the dolophin near ariels grotto to get him to show up in the undersea valley.

@rex2cool222 That game wasn't really good...and by not good I mean the combat mechanics was terrible.

Also, it's just a "bad times" or bad idea to take a optional/side character and give him a game and label it as a FF7 sequel. I mean really, that game really put a bad image on FF7.
