"In 1998 the Penn State campus police & local law enforcement investigated an allegation that Jerry Sandusky, then a coach with the team, had engaged in inappropriate & perhaps sexual conduct with a boy in the football showers"
"A police report was filed prosecutors said. The boy was interviewed. A second potential victim was identified. Child welfare authorities were brought in. Sandusky confessed to inappropriate behavior & showering with boys."
Never said this about anyone but I'm glad this dirtball scumbag child molester is dead. Go to the police you scumbag. Joe was a child molester himself why else would he not go to the police. And fuck anyone that defends this piece of human turd..
He was a piece of shit. The man was the worst kind of scum in this world & you idiots come on here defending such a feeble little man because he was a good football coach. What he covered up was and is always will be one of the worst acts a human can commit. Child molester himself,he is just as guilty unless he did it to and his best friend the other child molester had that on joe paterno. Why didn't he go to the police? Maybe he was a child molester also? Guarentee he was..
Confucius said: "Faced with what is right, to leave it undone shows a lack of courage." What needed to be done (by someone), was left undone by many, including JoePa. Joe Paterno leaves behind him two legacies; there can be little doubt of that.
@zzap999 Fuck you. Quit trolling Youtube and posting antisemitic shit. I've read your remarks and your unlettered rants against the Jews, and it seems as if you are scared of facts because you don't use any. Here's another fact for you: Joe Paterno is Italian Catholic, not Jewish, your fucking simpleton. Do the world a favor and take a shot gun to the face. We as a society are better off with out you.
@zzap999 yeah go fuck yourself faggot. paterno may have made some mistakes with sandusky but god damn he was a damn GREAT football coach! hes old school. take your trash out of here punk bitch.
If its true that Joe knew what was going on. I'm elated this sorry son of a bitch is dead. One less sorry ass motherfucker society does not have to deal with. The victims are suffering more than death.
Exactly. He got off easy. He'd have suffered much more by living through this. At least he got to live through this for the last few months instead of dying and missing his just desserts.
Thank God that BASTARD is FINALLY dead. If there is a Hell, this SCUMBAG is certainly screaming his balls off while the Devil himself is giving him the Sandusky Slosh in a shower of burning lava and jizz.
@mcrem32- Joe Pa has died about and hour ago, I see that you don't live in state College. Joe pa will be remembered for Helping students and the community. He told his higher ups. The board of trustees are the ones that need to burn in hell
@scba89 BS, the board of trustees are business men from all over that know next to nothing about what goes on. Only what those participating in the cover up tell them. Joe Pa was right on top of it & damn well had say over who uses his facilities. Just because fans who can't take the psychological shock of admitting that their idol allowed monstrous activities to occur in his facilities & right under his nose for at least 13 years (almost defnitely longer) doesn't make him less of a monster
@1986mvp- Joe Pa didn't fuck any boys, he told his bosses. It was up to his bosses to inform the police. Joe pa has died 40 mins ago, so get your facts straight
@scba89 It is everyones responsibility to report a crime to police. You dont need to tell your boss. As an adult you place the children ahead of your own personal agenda. Joe didnt...he let down many abuse children.
Just seen on espn this morning, people are standing around holding candles and what not! Mother fucker didn't even die? WTF people make me sick, fucking retards!
@innismor11 14 hours more, as it turned out. At this point it should be "R.I.P.", and leave it at that. The Paterno family should also set aside a "not-too-large" estate for his wife, and then the rest should go to a fund for Sandusky's victims. It's about the only way left to reverse (some of) the negative impact to his legacy arising out of this affair. It would be the right thing to do.
This ugly old greaseball has been around since the roaring twentys and he claimed he never "knew nutin bout no man rapist" what a scum and a liar . Pedd states legacy as a child molester haven is sealed ha ha go pedd state
joe was a good man, but jesus christ sucks. dont waits ur time worshipping this piese of trash, look at how dirty he is and how he lets bad ppl win all the time. christ sucks ppl, deal with it
@mistercoolio1997" my vids will expose al you haters. some of my vids will show you how grate i aml" This is what YOU posted on your channel. Hooked on phonics works. Hurry up and try it please!!! Idiot!
Penn State to remove Paterno name from all future mechandise. Vendors given 60 days to sell/give away any Penn State merchandise with a Paterno name or likeness. Nice to see Penn State say they want nothing to do with this man who allowed so much sexual abuse continue for countless years. Your legacy is that of a confused man who cared more about football than you did for childrens lives. Funny that much of his charity work was for the Catholic church. Couldnt he find any non-child rapists.
if you take joe paterno's track record that he's built over his 50+ years as a coach and human being, and still truly believe that his actions in this matter were carried out with intent to cover something up; either for the benefit of saving his job, his reputation, or the freedom of this so-called person in jerry sandusky, then you are lost.
NEWS OUT: "Media outlets have reported that Leslie Dutchcot, the district judge who set the $100,000 bail for Sandusky, volunteered for and donated to the nonprofit, and that the chairman of The Second Mile board raised money for her campaign." Does anyone in that area have any ethics or morals?!? Anyone? What's she doing setting bail for Sandusky? Or anything at all to do with him and his case?
@steeltribe16 No, I was stating that he has cancer. Interesting time to release that information. Guess we are supposed to feel sorry for him and not the children that were raped by his lack of judgement.
PSU should establish a "veritas" policy (similar to the catholic church) by which employees are forbidden to report misdeeds directly to police, but only to their superiors (or to the bishop). This would protect the football program from any more embarrassment (and lawsuits). This would also prevent future problems in recruiting top talent for next year’s team. It works for the catholic church.
@kdt34wqx Essentially, this is what PSU had in place, according to former VP Tripony: The football program was to be the sole arbiter of counselling and discipline for its players and staff. That's why she left. She was VP-Student adn Judicial Affairs in charge of such for students. But JoePa's football team was off limits, including the players, who (you'd think) were supposed to be studetns first, football players second (yes?). JoePa's fifedom had its own rules. Yeah, well, NCAA is coming in!
The exposure in stepping on people and making enemies on the way up, is that once you're at thet op, if you ever slip up, they'll be there, with their long memories, to make sure you slide all the way back down to the bottom. The irony is not lost on us, that it was a female (former PSU VP Vicky Tripony) that was one of the (only?) people unwilling to bed over and kiss JoePa's ass whenever he demanded it.
The same week that VP Triponey left Penn State, the university outlined a proposal to revamp the Office of Judicial Affairs. One change: Rather than judicial affairs, coaches, as well as club advisers, would determine whether students facing sanctions would be able to participate in extracurricular activities, such as playing football. Huh!?!?
Then, in 2007, not long after the tumultuous case over the brawl involving the football players, Spanier made his choice. Triponey was forced to resign. "JoePa University".
VP Triponey said she also received enormous pressure in a 2005 case involving standout linebacker Dan Connor, who was accused of making harassing calls to retired assistant coach Joe Sarra. One night after a football game, Triponey said Spanier and Curley came to her house because Paterno told Spanier that he had to make a choice between his VP of student affairs and his football coach. According to Triponey, Spanier said that if he ever had to make that decision, he would side with his VP.
William Britt, a police sergeant in Philadelphia's homicide division, said he's not surprised by the alleged coverup. "I see how this happens (at Penn State). We lived it," Britt said. In April 2007, as many as two dozen football players forced their way into a party at an off-campus apartment and assaulted several students at the party, including Britt's son, Jack, who was severely beaten. Six players faced criminal charges as a result of the brawl.
After one such time, then-president Graham Spanier told Triponey, "Vicky, you're one of the handful of people who have seen the darker side of Joe Paterno."
How many Penn Staters does it take to molest a child? One to do the molesting in the shower, another to watch, another to tell everyone to not tell the police and 4,000 to cheer for this! "FOR THE GLORY OF OLD STATE"
its funny how there so many stupid fucks on here that think Paterno was the rapist. or want him to die because he did what he was supposed too? fuck off you uneducated idiots.
@EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N .... any yet, here you are wasting your valuable time (?). Hey, I ignore the people here that call JoePa a rapist or a pedo-enabler. None of that has been proven, certainly, or even suggested. Most certainly not yet. JoePa is being pilloried for not being a defender of children against a sexual predator. He was not willing to risk his precious PSU and football program's reputations for that 'laudable' purpose. He pretty much said so in his email: he wished he had done more.
NEWS OUT: Penn State University has raised over $ 430,000 dollars within 2 weeks for RAINN. Don't let this scandal bring us down. We are still PENN STATE!!
NEWS OUT: Penn State University received almost $250,000 for a series of sleepover camps in 2008 and 2009 run by the charity group founded by Jerry Sandusky - years after ex-athletic director Tim Curley imposed an “unenforceable” ban on the accused child molester from bringing children onto the school’s sports facilities and main campus. Can you say "payback"? How about "hush money"? My that community is one incestuous one.
Perverto supposedly has lung cancer, and i hope he does. Die perverto, give it up, maybe then you wont have to face the embarrassment and ridicule for your inaction. your old ass will pay one way or another for the crimes that you allowed.
@asdfghjklesbiann wow, you call my opinion bias, 1) your ugly and you cant sing for shit, plus your video is obviously shot with your flip phone 2) your too young and stupid to have a real opinion, 3) the facts remain, perverto was at the top of an organization and for YEARS turned his head the other way and decided to act deaf when kids were being destroyed by his best friend and closest assistant. go fuck yourself cum guzzling dumb slut whore bitch.
1) I'm a paid model, and singer. Try again. Oh, and it couldn't possibly be obvious seeing as it was filmed with my MacBook.
2)No one is too young to have an opinion, dumbass. Especially someone who has a full education. One with your typing and spelling skills, wouldn't understand and clearly cannot/did not accomplish. And if you did, you slipped under the radar I'm sure.
3)He told his boss, who decided to do nothing. This should all be on him. Not Joe Pa.
@asdfghjklesbiann Yikes!! Well, ethics school needed and 'maturity' -- what is in order. In a few years, and with the help of this full story being out, you may a better appreciation for what you fail to realize and appreciate at the moment. JoePa failed. He failed his stature of great responsibility at PSU. He was # 1 / # 2 on campus (him and the President). You can't just pass the buck when that's you. He has on his concious now the suffering of many of Sandusky's victims that came along after
@colinwar Although, that is a great idea. Maybe I should start using my phone to record videos. The iPhone4 has a great camera! Read about it. <3 Also, if you're going to defend your opinion, try staying relevant to the topic you're discussing, rather than filling the comment box with insults of which, A: Aren't true, and B: Aren't relevant, and C: Say nothing about me and everything about your dim-witted, skull. Thanks and have a great day, you darling, rectal cavity. (:
@asdfghjklesbiann look here little girl, your obviously the type that values what other people think about you, so why dont you save yourself from nasty vilification not only by me but by all the NON BIASED people out there who would love an opportunity to highlight their detest for your type, that type that supports and defends the inaction and contempt of what would once be considered a local role model and humanitarian. Although we all now know of this persons true greed and corrupt nature.
NEWS OUT: The N.C.A.A. has sent Penn State a letter announcing it will begin an (unprecedented) inquiry into the university’s institutional control and ethical conduct stemming from the sexual abuse charges against the former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky. This is what I was saying was the greatest fear for PSU; NCAA has a power to shut their team(s) down for a period as sanction. JoePa and boys just have no clue.
NEWS OUT: "Ex-Penn State Coach Sandusky's Charity Reportedly Close to Folding Amid Hardly a selling point to have one of your founders discovered to be a pedophile that used the institution to source and groom child sex assault victims.
I don't know Sadusky or Paterno, but I've known who Joe was since I was in gradeschool in the 60's. I was malested @ 10 by the 14 y/o brother of my best friend & it's negatively affected my life since. I'd protect any boy from what I went thru with my life, because a pedophile & anyone who'd protect a pedophile deserves nothing less than jail & a whole lot more. I wanna cry over what was done to me, but I'm too strong in defensiveness over what happened to me.If I wasn't strong I'd go crazy.
A standout high school offensive lineman from Colorado has turned his back on his verbal commitment to attend Penn State. Joey O'Connor, a 6-foot-5, 297-pound senior, told the newspaper Thursday that he had de-committed. Reason # 43 JoePa should have made sure the right thing was done, for the kid(s) and for PSU. Now the football program is going to shreds. Legacy.
NEWS OUT: The alleged sexual abuse of young boys by Jerry Sandusky is central to perhaps the biggest and most-disturbing college sports scandal of all-time.
However, the timing of Sandusky’s arrest has raised the eyebrows of those who believe that the authorities waited until coach Joe Paterno secured his record-setting 409th win in a 10-7 victory over Illinois on October 29. That’s when he officially passed Eddie Robinson as the all-time winningest coach in Division I history.
In addition, McQueary claims to have made sure the rape stopped and discussed the incident with police, in addition to the official in charge of police at PSU. I know many won't believe him, but if true, then all of this outrage has been unjustified. What exactly is a non-police person supposed to do if the police determine there is not enough evidence to arrest someone? PSU took away Sandusky's locker room access, and he had not been a coach since 1999. What else could they legally do?
@ThePopeII Uhhh .... hello .... knock-knock ...... McQueary has never intimated he talked to anyone about the incident that he described as anal intercourse with a single person person NOT employed by PSU, other than his father (I'm still waiting for to hear what great advice his old man gave him and why he kept this a secret for 9 years). So, this was cover-up, a decision amongst the most formidable in the institution's history, and JoePam the most powerful rep, would know and approve of it.
The BOT claims that a big reason Joe was fired is because he admitted that "he wished he would've done more." The problem is, what Joe actually said was, "With the benefit of hindsight, I wish I would've done more" Unless you have a time machine, none of us have the benefit of hindsight. So it begs the question, why was Joe fired if he acted reasonably based on the info he had at the time (and without the benefit of hindsight)?
@ThePopeII Nice try. Actually, It's not. It's pretty lame. ""With the benefit of hindsight ..." means "if I had known that we would eventually all get caught ...".
Fuck this old fucking asshole, I cant believe this godamn college let this shit slide. University police even did nothing. These people should all be tied to a fucking stake and burned. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFuck this makes me angry
"MAY NO ACT OF OURS BRING SHAME", ok, rioting AND then urinating into people's garbage cans, what a class act here! Before ANY Penn State students can think that they can shine illumination onto ANYONE, look in the mirror. These days, Penn State has shown the world that "Happy Valley" is a cruel and disgusting place. Clearly, Penn State is an institution that is need of institutionalization. I wish these Hypocrites the best of luck in resolving their issues. Just "Clearing things up".
this dick deserves severe consequences, as well as the others involved in covering up this scandal. sandusky deserves to be tortured until the day he dies. saying these men are innocent is disgusting, the protesters are unintelligent and irrational. they make other victims afraid to come out. i guess the german citizens who watched their jew friends get murdered were innocent too, then.
Where, oh, where is he? Where can that rape enabler be? We looked around and then we found The football coach for you and me! And now it's ... Springtime for Joe Paterno & PSU. "SAME PLACE, MISTER PATERNO, THE COURTHOUSE?" Happy Valley is happy and gay! "GET 'EM WHILE THEY LAST -- NEVER-USED ETHICS BOOKS, AUTOGRAPHED BY JOE PA BLAH-BLAH. Don't-be-stupid-be-a-smarty-come-and-join-the-rape-enabler's-party.
But then there is this: "On Monday night, ESPN's Tom Rinaldi reported that a source familiar with the Penn State investigation said McQueary actually stopped the alleged 2002 attack he told a grand jury he witnessed in the shower." As one analyst said, the Grand Jury report will leave a lot out, that is not necessary to make a case go to trial.
thumbs up if you have played milk the cow in the shower with a 10 year old boy in the past day or two!! Who doesn't do a little horsing around with kids butt ass naked? CMON...
fuck all you paterno sympathizers, to not see the corrupt and disgusting nature of this elaborate cover up, is simply a narcissistic and self centered attitude and one that obviously is maintained by all ped state football fanatics.
I have been spending more time looking into this story than some of you ped state students spend on paternos lawn. and all i can say is google the franklin scandal. now tell me this shit dosnt scare you.
From the PSU Police website: "The University Police is governed by a state statute that gives our officers the same authority as municipal police officers." Joe Paterno did call the head of the University Police in response to the allegations against Sandusky. An investigation was conducted. It is not Joe's job to investigate and arrest someone nor is he allowed to do that. Joe's actions were both legally and morally correct.
Search "A Strong Defense of Joe Paterno" on google for an excellent explanation of why Joe acted both legally and morally in response to the allegations.
I just read a legal critic that was baffled that JoePa only contacted one recently. He says he should have hired one when the grand just started almost a year ago. The guy's in denial, but it appears his advisors are finally getting through to him. I've been around long enough to know how this one went: "McQueary stop right there! I don't care what you've just told me, I'll swear to this point you just told something that could be sexual was going on, and never heard anymore. Take it to Curley.
@innismor11 ... and before McQueary gets to Curley's office, JoePa's on the phone to him with "I've never called you today, and later when you have a rodent come through your office, you just make sure you make it go away. I don't want to hear anything about rodent problems." "Click!". JoePa ... done. In 2004 one of JoePa's players was suspended for 2 semesters for sexually assaulting a woman. JoePa made sure he didn't get the memo until after the Bowl game he needed him for. The guy is slick.
@EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N Well, aren't you in the massive minority!!! Good!! Great!! JoePa's probably not going to jail ;cause of the fine print. Wahooo!! Go celebrate!!! Joe's not, that's for sure!! He's been busy moving his assets trying to sheild them from the coming civil suits. They are going to go on for years; he probably won't be alive when all the decisions/settlements come down. The experts say the whole matter is going to cost his university huge $ (hundreds of millions?) in losses. Yah!
Is ALL of Pennsylvania fucked up?!?! The judge that let Sandusky go on a no-cash bail didn't even disclose (per CNN) that she is a volunteer at Second Mile and has donated to the foundation and Sandusky started, and where he cultivated his victims?!? What that whole area is absolute bonkers!! She should have offered to recuse herself and allow the two parties to say "no, it's fine, don't".
seriously. why the fuck is everyone fucking targeting Joe Pa. what the fuck about Sandusky? HE is the one that did it. Stop fucking bitching that Paterno only reported it to the Athletic Heads. If the athletic heads would have just gone to the police, none of this would be happening either. If Mike Mcqueary just went the police , none of this would be happening. so why the fuck are you guys all targeting Joe Paterno, who is a legend. complain about schultz,Curly,McQueary, and DEFINITLY SANDUSKY.
@EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N Sandusky is looking at 400 years in prison. Schultz and Curly are also looking at charges. McQueary is in protective custody. Paterno is able to stay at home...I dont think many people are really targeting him. The legend status no longer applies. The legandary Penn State child rape cover-up is what he will be known for....
@EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N No he is only a legend to Penn State...the rest of the country thinks he is a pitiful man who allowed children to be raped as long as it didnt hurt his football program.
@EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N Classic!! Blame McQueary for telling JoePa!! FRAOTFLOL!! Hey, don't worry, JoePa cut McQueary off and said "I don't want to hear it. Take it to Curley and tell him to make it all go away." JoePa's name was today scratched off the new Big Ten trophy. His statue is going to be next. It'll likely come right down on you, since you spend all your time at it, your lips smacking his ass. LOL!!
@EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N My, what an intelligent rebuttal: "that didn't even make sense". OK, let me explain it to you, and advance your thinking, as we all realize you may not be anywhere near as smart as JoePa. Joe has a history of sweeping sexual assault perp'd by his staff & players under the carpet. E.g., 2004 a player plays in the Gator Bowl that was suspended for sexually assaulting a woman. Joe "never got the memo". Joe never hears anything, but everyone at Penn knows the decisions he wants.
@EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N You must be an accomplished child rapist to be talking so ignorantly and insensitively. They have computers with web access at your state pen? Or have you still not been caught? I think we are all starting to appreciate why you are so defensive of the child molesters, enablers and defendors. You're part of that sick family!!
@EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N During her four years as the vice president for student affairs for PSU, Vicky Triponey challenged the power of Joe Paterno, and lost. Triponey held direct oversight of the Office of Judicial Affairs, PSU's disciplinary arm. When football players ran afoul of school policy, Triponey said Paterno interfered with the discipline process.
New article out on JoePa & his views on sexual assault -- google "Joe Paterno’s Troubling Attitude Toward Sex Charges". I expect there is more to come. This guy liked doing some good because it made him feel good. But his views on sexual assault have (apparently) always been a little too flippant and uncaring. One of his players was allowed to play in a Bowl game before starting to serve his two semester suspension for sexual assault. There's thread here; he knows, and works to say he didn't.
Kill them all...Shultz...Curley...Paterno...Spanier...McQueary...Dutchcot...all of them are a scourge upon America.
I REALLY hope someone does it.
I like how in America you can have a secure bail for non-violent drug charges but when you're accused of over 40 child sex charges you are only given a $100,000 UNSECURED bail.
The majority of these students will look at this five years from now and be extremely embarrassed that they were ever in this crowd outside his home. Too bad this visual will live on well beyond their apparent current delusions.
...everyone that knew about what was going on should be Fired and Charged! the abuse was going on for so long with so many kids that you know alot of people had to know or suspected that there was wrong doing. just like the Church all everyone did was cover up the abuse and protect their own asses! the worst is seeing all these robots on tv rioting because "JoePa" got fired but noone did anything for the victims, Idiots!
@ Innismor11- According to Pa state law, You must report any abuse to your superiors. That's what Joe pa did that. Its up to the superiors to notify the police. I'm not a law student, I'm a actually a young police officer. I just go to Penn state for to learn more. Also yes I will learn from this but I do believe Joe pa should at least get his pension back.
@scba89 Correct. District attorney SAYS no evidence TO THIS POINT to implicate JoePa. If JoePa escapes criminal court (and I expect he eventually won't), in the court of public opinion he is toast. WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSBILITY. You can't wield your power just when you want to (e.g., 2004, when PSU tried to have JoePa fired, and 'couldn't' (?!?!?). But on child sexual assault, by his direct (former) staff, in his shop, that he kicked out 3 years earlier?!! ==> he passes the buck?!?
@scba89 You're going to be a police officer? Please don't...fuck you. You're duty is to protect people, especially children and you think this lying sack of shit should be PAID for covering up CHILD RAPE???!!!
Essayist John Zmirak once wrote on the catholic church child sex abuse scandal, and his words apply to Joe Paterno as well. "Sins committed in the name of a higher good can smell and look like lilies. But they flank a coffin. Lying dead and stiff inside that box is natural Justice ... what each of us owes the other in an unconditional debt.”
I called it 2 days ago, and today the Pennsylvania governor is saying indeed, he expects a state law to be passed shortly expanding criminal moral turpitude to require any person with knowledge of child sexual abuse to report it directly themselves to law enforcement. It is easy to think that this law will become known as the JoePa Law. How's that for legacy?
Google some REQUIRED READING for JoePa & his supporters .. "Penn State, Happy Valley, & the Good Citizens of Omelas" And for just one day, every PSU Class should be required to read & discuss the original award-winning short story "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas" ... Which is posted for free at miafarroworg. A teachable moment for us all.
@colinwar- I'm still Proud to go to Penn State, no matter what happen. Has for being his attorney, I'm not. He's got a great one, but I do study law as part of my major and the only thing he did wrong was morally. He's Legally clean. The former President should be fired. He's the one who was required to contact the police. Psu gave his teaching job back which is bull shit. None the less this whole scandal needs to get the whole story out there.
@scba89 Yikes, law student?!? At Penn?!? And you call JoePa "legally clean". As a budding lawyer you better learn to use preamble such as "on the balance of the evidence presented to date to the grand jury". JoePa is not out of the woods. he's already contacted a criminal lawyer. Why? Doesn't sound clean to me. I expect he's the same as me ... he's expecting Curley or Schultz to sing -- first one to sing gets a deal. That's why they set both of them for charges; now the race is on. Please learn.
@scba89 so your basically saying that the legal system isnt concerned with morality, just about controlling laws so that the elite stay on top and the disadvantaged are locked up for bull shit like posession of marijuana. that is sick, this whole situation is sick and i dont believe for one second that you study law. are you kidding me, you barely use the english language correctly. who cares, your case is flawed, the 23 page jury report is more than enough for every logical person.
@MatrixFactoryGuy dont worry man, I wont live in a world where even children arent safe from the elite, greedy, corrupt, evil, power brokers. If its like that i dont care about living on this earth and you can believe im taking as many satanic evil pedophiles with me as i can. and i know of alot of people who think just like i do.
It's simple to see the MOTIVES behind all the Pedd State U. COVERUP actions of: the Head Coach, the graduate student, the Athletic Director, the VP of Finance, the janitor, and---ultimately---the PRESIDENT of the U.:
"Football has always been the lifeblood of this university. The sport anually brings in $72 million..." ---"Paterno isn't a candidate for sainthood" in NEW YORK DAILY NEWS, Sunday, November 13 2011, 3:05 AM.
@Stingernukegod ... and what, pray tell, has the Head Coach done? Developed Penicillin v2, perhaps? Find a gene to combat cancer cells? Maybe find a treatment for wet macular degeneration? None of that. He has told jocks stupider than stones how to carry a stupid ball beyond a stupid goal line. And for that, a herd of idiots give $72 million/yr to this stupidder than shit Pedd State University ... to PLAY A GAME STUPPIDER THAN SOCCER---US FOOTBALL.
FACT<<<<<<<<<<<< Joe Paterno knew what his best friend Jerry Sandusky was doing,, so did the top officals!! WHY did they ask Jerry Sandusky to NOT bring children to the practice?? why did they ask Jerry NOT to bring kids to the campus?? ALL the top officals covered up rape for Jerry , including Joe Paterno
those people are insanely sick, they are supporting a pedophile who is charged with molesting children! what wouldn't make them so supportive toward a disgusting man? if he molested some dogs? i know white people loves dogs!
He allowed children to be raped.

"A police report was filed prosecutors said. The boy was interviewed. A second potential victim was identified. Child welfare authorities were brought in. Sandusky confessed to inappropriate behavior & showering with boys."

@scba89 BS, the board of trustees are business men from all over that know next to nothing about what goes on. Only what those participating in the cover up tell them. NEWS OUT: "Paterno In Serious Condition". It doesn't look like he has long to live.
innismor11 1 month ago
@innismor11 14 hours more, as it turned out. At this point it should be "R.I.P.", and leave it at that. The Paterno family should also set aside a "not-too-large" estate for his wife, and then the rest should go to a fund for Sandusky's victims. It's about the only way left to reverse (some of) the negative impact to his legacy arising out of this affair. It would be the right thing to do.

Nice to see Penn State say they want nothing to do with this man who allowed so much sexual abuse continue for countless years. It works for the catholic church.
kdt34wqx 3 months ago
@kdt34wqx Essentially, this is what PSU had in place, according to former VP Tripony: The football program was to be the sole arbiter of counselling and discipline for its players and staff. That's why she left. She was VP-Student adn Judicial Affairs in charge of such for students. But JoePa's football team was off limits, including the players, who (you'd think) were supposed to be studetns first, football players second (yes?). JoePa's fifedom had its own rules. Yeah, well, NCAA is coming in!
innismor11 3 months ago 9
The exposure in stepping on people and making enemies on the way up, is that once you're at thet op, if you ever slip up, they'll be there, with their long memories, to make sure you slide all the way back down to the bottom. The irony is not lost on us, that it was a female (former PSU VP Vicky Tripony) that was one of the (only?) people unwilling to bed over and kiss JoePa's ass whenever he demanded it.
innismor11 3 months ago
The same week that VP Triponey left Penn State, the university outlined a proposal to revamp the Office of Judicial Affairs. One change: Rather than judicial affairs, coaches, as well as club advisers, would determine whether students facing sanctions would be able to participate in extracurricular activities, such as playing football. Huh!?!?
innismor11 3 months ago
Then, in 2007, not long after the tumultuous case over the brawl involving the football players, Spanier made his choice. Triponey was forced to resign. "JoePa University".
innismor11 3 months ago
VP Triponey said she also received enormous pressure in a 2005 case involving standout linebacker Dan Connor, who was accused of making harassing calls to retired assistant coach Joe Sarra. One night after a football game, Triponey said Spanier and Curley came to her house because Paterno told Spanier that he had to make a choice between his VP of student affairs and his football coach. According to Triponey, Spanier said that if he ever had to make that decision, he would side with his VP.
innismor11 3 months ago
William Britt, a police sergeant in Philadelphia's homicide division, said he's not surprised by the alleged coverup. "I see how this happens (at Penn State). We lived it," Britt said. In April 2007, as many as two dozen football players forced their way into a party at an off-campus apartment and assaulted several students at the party, including Britt's son, Jack, who was severely beaten. Six players faced criminal charges as a result of the brawl.
innismor11 3 months ago
After one such time, then-president Graham Spanier told Triponey, "Vicky, you're one of the handful of people who have seen the darker side of Joe Paterno."

He was not willing to risk his precious PSU and football program's reputations for that 'laudable' purpose. He pretty much said so in his email: he wished he had done more.

Legacy.
innismor11 3 months ago
NEWS OUT: The alleged sexual abuse of young boys by Jerry Sandusky is central to perhaps the biggest and most-disturbing college sports scandal of all-time.
However, the timing of Sandusky’s arrest has raised the eyebrows of those who believe that the authorities waited until coach Joe Paterno secured his record-setting 409th win in a 10-7 victory over Illinois on October 29. That’s when he officially passed Eddie Robinson as the all-time winningest coach in Division I history.
innismor11 3 months ago
In addition, McQueary claims to have made sure the rape stopped and discussed the incident with police, in addition to the official in charge of police at PSU. I know many won't believe him, but if true, then all of this outrage has been unjustified. What exactly is a non-police person supposed to do if the police determine there is not enough evidence to arrest someone? PSU took away Sandusky's locker room access, and he had not been a coach since 1999. What else could they legally do?
ThePopeII 3 months ago

From the PSU Police website: "The University Police is governed by a state statute that gives our officers the same authority as municipal police officers." Joe Paterno did call the head of the University Police in response to the allegations against Sandusky. An investigation was conducted. It is not Joe's job to investigate and arrest someone nor is he allowed to do that. Joe's actions were both legally and morally correct.
ThePopeII 3 months ago
Search "A Strong Defense of Joe Paterno" on google for an excellent explanation of why Joe acted both legally and morally in response to the allegations.

I just read a legal critic that was baffled that JoePa only contacted one recently. He says he should have hired one when the grand just started almost a year ago. The guy's in denial, but it appears his advisors are finally getting through to him. I've been around long enough to know how this one went: "McQueary stop right there! I don't care what you've just told me, I'll swear to this point you just told something that could be sexual was going on, and never heard anymore. Take it to Curley.
innismor11 3 months ago
@innismor11 ... and before McQueary gets to Curley's office, JoePa's on the phone to him with "I've never called you today, and later when you have a rodent come through your office, you just make sure you make it go away. I don't want to hear anything about rodent problems." "Click!". JoePa ... done. In 2004 one of JoePa's players was suspended for 2 semesters for sexually assaulting a woman. JoePa made sure he didn't get the memo until after the Bowl game he needed him for. The guy is slick.

Joe has a history of sweeping sexual assault perp'd by his staff & players under the carpet. E.g., 2004 a player plays in the Gator Bowl that was suspended for sexually assaulting a woman. Joe "never got the memo". Joe never hears anything, but everyone at Penn knows the decisions he wants.

you must have been raped as a child or something to care so much....
EV0LUTI0NPR0DUCTI0N 3 months ago

America is so very very sick.

SteveSabbai 3 months ago
@ Innismor11- According to Pa state law, You must report any abuse to your superiors. That's what Joe pa did that. Its up to the superiors to notify the police. I'm not a law student, I'm a actually a young police officer. I just go to Penn state for to learn more. Also yes I will learn from this but I do believe Joe pa should at least get his pension back.
scba89 3 months ago
@scba89 Correct. District attorney SAYS no evidence TO THIS POINT to implicate JoePa. If JoePa escapes criminal court (and I expect he eventually won't), in the court of public opinion he is toast. WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSBILITY. You can't wield your power just when you want to (e.g., 2004, when PSU tried to have JoePa fired, and 'couldn't' (?!?!?). But on child sexual assault, by his direct (former) staff, in his shop, that he kicked out 3 years earlier?!! ==> he passes the buck?!?
innismor11 3 months ago
@scba89 You're going to be a police officer? Please don't...fuck you. You're duty is to protect people, especially children and you think this lying sack of shit should be PAID for covering up CHILD RAPE???!!!
Insulting, obscene, scary, disgusting. FUCK YOU

How's that for legacy?
innismor11 3 months ago
He is a coward.....I cant believe these men covered up child rape.

None the less this whole scandal needs to get the whole story out there.
scba89 3 months ago
@scba89 Yikes, law student?!? At Penn?!? And you call JoePa "legally clean". As a budding lawyer you better learn to use preamble such as "on the balance of the evidence presented to date to the grand jury". JoePa is not out of the woods. he's already contacted a criminal lawyer. Why? Doesn't sound clean to me. I expect he's the same as me ... he's expecting Curley or Schultz to sing -- first one to sing gets a deal. That's why they set both of them for charges; now the race is on. Please learn.
innismor11 3 months ago
@scba89 so your basically saying that the legal system isnt concerned with morality, just about controlling laws so that the elite stay on top and the disadvantaged are locked up for bull shit like posession of marijuana. that is sick, this whole situation is sick and i dont believe for one second that you study law. are you kidding me, you barely use the english language correctly. who cares, your case is flawed, the 23 page jury report is more than enough for every logical person.

Austyg 3 months ago
@Stingernukegod ... and what, pray tell, has the Head Coach done? Developed Penicillin v2, perhaps? Find a gene to combat cancer cells? Maybe find a treatment for wet macular degeneration? None of that. He has told jocks stupider than stones how to carry a stupid ball beyond a stupid goal line. And for that, a herd of idiots give $72 million/yr to this stupidder than shit Pedd State University ... to PLAY A GAME STUPPIDER THAN SOCCER---US FOOTBALL.
GET REAL.
